Help/Advice: PG&E Forcing Me Off EV2-A due to 800% Baseline Allowance Rule

After 18 months of trying to ration EV charging between our MY and M3 the day has finally come: Next bill cycle PG&E is moving us from EV2-A to E-TOU-D. I ran the numbers and our electricity bill will increase 25% to 40% depending on the time of year. Solar install is still several months off...

Car & Driver: The Mach E is simply better than the Model Y

I didn't read all 33 pages of this thread, but I'd like to add the following observations: 1 - I read C&D religiously for 20 years until around 2010 when they became nothing more than an advertisement for OEM's. 2 - They have shown clear bias against EV's for at least a decade ( because see #1...

Help/Advice: PG&E Forcing Me Off EV2-A due to 800% Baseline Allowance Rule

Thanks for your input @miimura. It felt very much like this was going to be a dead end. I just hope I can avoid being converted from EV2-A to TOU. I see now for the first time why EV-B exists and how it may be useful. It may actually be an option for me because we have to do a panel upgrade at...

Help/Advice: PG&E Forcing Me Off EV2-A due to 800% Baseline Allowance Rule

I received a notice from PG&E that I'm exceeding 800% baseline usage and thus will be forced off EV2-A. They plan to put me on a time of use rate plan E-TOU-D. Baseline usage is 336 kWh/month and I'm hitting 2800 kWh/month or 833%. However, 75% of the usage occurs between midnight and 5:00AM...

Driver for Uber or Lyft with your Tesla?

Are rideshare or livery drivers allowed to use superchargers? Model Y owners must pay to use the network. Since it's not freeloading I'm wondering if it's still banned. Only found old articles from 2017 and 2018 about this topic online.

    Supercharger - Stockton, CA (LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 12 V3 stalls)

I saw these in my peripheral vision while heading from Brookside to the Wells Fargo on March Lane this morning and screamed to my son "Superchargers!!!". Then I found this thread. I live in town so I won't ever really need to use them, but they are still a beautiful sight!

    Best wireless charger?

Ordered TapTes from Amazon on sale for $40. Works great. Very happy.

How many of you are renting your Model S on Turo?

@ahkahn I didn't read the entire thread but thanks for sharing your experience. I was flirting with the idea of putting my 3 on Turo when I take delivery of Y, but forget it. I also have an acquaintance who had ~5 cars on Turo (not EV's) in 2017. He got sick of it...sold the cars and exited...

    Best wireless charger?

Thx sneaky...if the TapTes doesn’t work out I’ll try the Nomad, Evannex, OEM, Jeda until I find the right one. I’m kinda fussy...I like things that I’m going to use every day to work and look great.

    Best wireless charger?

Also I’m planning to use the TapTes with a Sabrent hub that has good reviews from M3 owners. Anyone know if they are compatible? One way or another I’ll be finding out later today.

    Best wireless charger?

Has anyone tried the wireless charger from Evannex? It’s 1/2 the price of OEM, but 2x the price of TapTes (which I just ordered on Amazon).

    Road/wind noise

I hear a really irritating noise at 90+ mph that sounds like it’s coming from the area where the windshield meets that roof panel glass. I would describe it as a sort of clicking or chirping sound. I’ve been meaning to ask if others have the same issue and also ask TESLA when I have a chance...

Model 3 18" Wheels, Tires, TPMS and Aero Covers (New)

I apologize for this, but the wheels I want will not be available on 6/26. I will hold off on selling the OEM wheels and tires until I have clear visibility on delivery.

Model 3 18" Wheels, Tires, TPMS and Aero Covers (New)

I went with 19 x 8.5” wheels all around. My goal was to find a good balance between weight reduction, improved handling, mild customization and reasonable cost. The TFR’s weigh less than 21 pounds each so I think I’m dropping about 40 pounds.

Model 3 18" Wheels, Tires, TPMS and Aero Covers (New)

Complete set of four 18” Model 3 Aero Wheels, Tires, TPMS and Aero Covers. Less than 300 miles so they are basically new. I'm waiting for Enkei TFR's and Michelin 4S's to arrive from Tire Rack on 6/26 and will not put any more miles on the car until they arrive. $1K delivered to you anywhere...
