Sorry, im not fully up to date on the thread, but this caught my eye. The larger chip is not partitioned to allow the user all the space (unneeded) but the chip does utilize all the space for wear. Tesla has also reduced logging significantly. A replaced chip perform well and will last much...

Vendor PWS on MCU1 AP1 car Retrofit

Unfortantly mcu2 configs cant be changed by us at this time. If a car got this before mcu2 upgrade, then it should work as long as the tech copies the config over.

MCU1 black after reboot, is it bricked?

Original chips had almost no free space. The new ones have 56 gigs free, use 8.
  8. EV-Fixme

The chip self wear levels. The current chips are partitioned the same as original.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

We have also seen this error, Does not matter what eMMC is in the car. Our guess is the error is do to some remaining corrupt data that was migrated, or will trigger when a response is not within the expected limitations.

Denied eMMC replacement - what to do?

It is very normal, when they are servicing the mcu, the car's power is likely removed, and the mcu is likey outside of the car being worked on. The app connection requires the mcu to send the info to Tesla for app to see the car.
  11. EV-Fixme

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

This does seem to happen some times. We've seen that mcu continues to work normally while showing the error. There may be some specific firmware that shows shows this error while MCU works fine. We have not had a chance to trace this down but it seems to be a incorrect warning message. Your...

Frame Failure called "Normal Wear and Tear" by Tesla Service

Small motor uses different subframe. Base and Sport motor are same physical size, different power capability.

Frame Failure called "Normal Wear and Tear" by Tesla Service

Interesting, I've looked at the newer subframe online and they appear to look the same. Will see if we can find on in person to see if we can find the difference.

Frame Failure called "Normal Wear and Tear" by Tesla Service

Im not sure about being improper installation. The cases we have seen the 2 tabs are cracked which is most apparent. However when we took a closer look we also saw there were 2 additional cracks in the frame where the weild was, and extended beyond.

Frame Failure called "Normal Wear and Tear" by Tesla Service

We replace rear subframes for far less than 3000+ We generally see P cars crack the rear mount and part of the subframe.

Rear Toe Links worn out after 5000 miles?

That does sound very strange. Most cars we see have their original toe links, even the ones we replace seem to have life left in the bushings. A couple cars to note had 170k and 190k miles... The N2 ones have a 8 year warranty on the bushings. But I suspect there may be other issues causing...

Currently we have tested 1 SanDisk card to be compatible and working. We are getting a batch of them for sale. The price wont be the cheapest as they are coming from a verified vender to ensure we are not getting counterfeits. However pricing will not be out of line either.

Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

It depends on the car. One of our cars could not get proper toe with factory. AFAIK the car was never in an accident. Custom toe arms finally got the car to be able to align into spec.
  22. EV-Fixme

    Replacement MCU1

We have seen a couple cars where the SC likely used a different revision of Tegra (daughterboard) which required a LTE gps board upgrade to restore nav functionality. The symptom is total nav failure in what we have seen.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

It can be challenging to seperate between programing "bugs" from different versions vs eMMC related issues. One way to help is if the issue is mass reported for a issue on a specific version. There are many "bugs" that can have effects that are very similar to eMMC signs of failure.

Vendor N2itive Camber arms, Toe arms, and Lowering Links installation in Orange County area

Hi Douyon1, this kit should fit on the 2020 MX. AFAIK the 2020 still has limitations of rear suspension adjustment, the arm would allow the -1 camber adjustment, and depending on the height and car the toe kit may or may not be needed. The lowering links will still allow the 2020 to be...

You state that car wakes in silence, and reboot brings it back? If you don't reboot, does the sound ever come back? How are the used 20-25k model S cars?

The biggest repair costs are going to be replacing the main battery pack and motor(s). It's not so much the labor cost, but the cost of the parts. Motors and main batteries cost 5k-10k+. That's if you buy new. if you buy used you can obviously save a lot of money depending on where you get the...
