    テスラ スーパーチャージャー Japanese Superchargers

Thanks, Hiroshi. It must be a land price/availability issue if that plan goes through. Still Koto would take pressure off Totsuka and be closer to many in Tokyo.

    テスラ スーパーチャージャー Japanese Superchargers

FYI: I just got a notice that the Palace Hotel’s SC will have a new policy starting February 1st: 1) there will be a ¥1,000 charge for valet, and 2) there’s a 60-minute limit for parking before parking rates apply. I couldn’t tell if having a meal at the hotel restaurant has an effect on the...

    テスラ スーパーチャージャー Japanese Superchargers

Ooooh, nice, Hiroshi. I ask for a charger every time I stay at the RR Hotel in Tokyo. I hope they’re going to follow Kyoto’s lead.

Auto Lane Change on Japan highways

I still get the slowdown (AP1) around some highway exits and SA/PA off ramps. I’m always ready to use the accelerator to get the car back up to speed.

Tesla Music Service (Spotify?) in Japan

I’ve been using Bluetooth with songs on my iPhone for the past year or so. Sometime last year, an update messed up how songs play on USB. This last road trip, I plugged my USB back in for the first time in a long time. I still get error messages when I try to play an album, but it’ll play the...

    テスラ スーパーチャージャー Japanese Superchargers

Hi Hiroshi, Traffic through Tokyo was a nightmare two days ago. I stayed on the surface street as long as I could, and passed lots of cars on the Shutoko. When I got close to the Aqua Line tunnel, I got on the highway. Traffic flowed in the tunnel and on the bridge. The SC is off the first exit...

    テスラ スーパーチャージャー Japanese Superchargers

FYI: Japan’s 19th Supercharger, Kisarazu, opened recently. It’s across Tokyo Bay in Chiba prefecture using the Aqua Line tunnel bridge. There’s a Lawson across the street. The driveway for access in the parking lot is tight. Be careful.

Tesla Music Service (Spotify?) in Japan

TuneIn is the only service we get. I would like Spotify as well.

    My response is the same.
  14. JayInJapan

    Hokkaido power plants and CHAdeMO

The CHAdeMO won’t work until power is restored; when the power is restored, they will work. There are no superchargers in Hokkaido.

    Exiting highway to supercharge

Sano is in a great location; if I lived up that way, I’d use it. The outlet mall is one of the better ones.

    Exiting highway to supercharge

I think an exit and re-entry on the same route is a couple hundred yen hit. Hiroshi can confirm that. Which supercharger are you talking about? I’ve been to all but two (fixing that next month).

    P85+ Two-Year Review

Not worthy of its own thread, so I’ll mention it here. Today my 12V battery was replaced (at three years and seven months) for the first time. I was told that it lasted longer than many and that driving the car a lot is good to maintain that battery.

    Importing U.S. Model S

No one is losing sight of anything. Bring a non-supported car here, and you’ll lose many of the features; sounds terrible to me. Teslas do not cost twice the price here; in fact, I paid about 10% more than U.S. prices. If it’s for a few years, then, like I wrote above, a CPO can be a great...

    Importing U.S. Model S

If I were moving to Japan, I would sell or store my current Tesla and buy a CPO here. Full support, no missing features.

    update in Japan

You can scroll up and see why I wrote what I did. Also, just like most every OS on earth, we have a license to use it; it’s not a right. Tesla has many reasons for releasing firmware to certain cars/owners in a safe manner. Updates can take steps backwards as well, so some of what you wrote just...

    ラゾーナ川崎ショールーム Tesla Lazona Kawasaki Showroom

This is unrelated, but not deserving of its own thread. We had a car show in Kumamoto late last month, and Tesla brought an S and an X down. I was happy to see Tesla in an official appearance in my part of the world. Another year for M3?

    update in Japan

We have all the users who abused AP to thank for the newer nag timing. I’m afraid Teslas may not be for everyone.

    update in Japan

I don’t think of it as a competition. I get it when I get it. I almost didn’t mention it because of the bad feelings some get. I hope owners are not calling to demand updates. The Tesla staff has plenty to worry about.

Sorry for the English. Tesla is doing its best to install superchargers, but it’s difficult to get land and permits. I’m frustrated with the pace, too. I’m happy that the recent ones are closer to highways, so I can keep moving. Is AP1 or EAP restricted? All of these software systems are a...

The Japan Dude Drives to Hokkaido

Bummer, I'm driving through Shizuoka on the 10th, charging at the Hamamatsu SC. That day is the longest driving leg of the run to Tokyo, so I won't have any time for side trips. Your adventure sounds like fun, though. I'll try to catch it in the future. Have fun!

The Japan Dude Drives to Hokkaido

Thanks for the comments Yes, I'll drive to Tokyo in a couple of weeks, taking several days. Planned overnights are Hiroshima, Kyoto, Ise, Yamanashi, Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and the center of town. I also took a MX through Southern California last month. I just haven't written it up yet...

    Model 3

Hello all: Now that the Model 3 is in production, I thought it might be interesting to see what Japanese owners/reservation holders think. I ordered 3/31/16 (U.S. date) and see early 2019 for delivery of any model I order. Patience for us, I see, is necessary. The car looks great. Since I...

    GenII hw autopilot

No mail at for me... Yes, nether hardware set up, AP1 nor AP2, will handle traffic lights. It's still highway-only, limited access roads. I read limited access as roads that do allow cars to enter the road perpendicular to your car (no driveways or cross-streets).

I've had the problem since AP1 came out, so I don't have much hope. Maybe it's my car only.

    名古屋ストアオープン Nagoya store opening

Yes, my car is set in English. Voice command for bugs hasn't been working recently, but I've submitted about 100 times. You can take screenshots (hold bottom-right button for 5 seconds), watch what time you did it, and contact Tesla with those times.
