Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Scripps Poway Parkway (LIVE 9 Nov 2021, 12 V3 stalls)

Awesome! A couple of stop signs away. This would have been a pipe dream when we got our first Tesla, 8 years ago. Quick. Someone pinch me :)
  2. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

That would suck if it's true. This is my all-time favorite SC site. So many shopping, dining options and it's close to work (for selfish reasons) and it's close to the freeway. Very convenient. <heavy sigh>
  3. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Mira Mesa Blvd (LIVE 13 Jul 2021, 16 V3 stalls)

I don't think my 13 MS p85 or 16 MX P90 DL can take advantage of V3. oh well. Free is still free!
  4. Teriyaki88

    Supercharger - Santa Ysabel, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2021, 8 V3 stalls)

Drove to Dudley's. Did not see any activity as of 1/30/2021
  5. Teriyaki88

    Anyone care to explain CHAdeMO

Just be aware that many of the non-Tesla chargers are not as dependable. Be cautious as you may be stuck if its out of order.

    2016 X P90DL Key Fob issue

I just took delivery of a certified preowned from Tesla. The key fob's battery was replaced at delivery. Then by end of the day it wouldn't work. I replaced the battery and it worked....for a short while. The 2nd FOB was saying it was low and the battery needs replacing. aside: I was able to...

I'm considering Used 2016 Model X performance from Tesla-Recommend it?

I'm definitely keeping my Model S P85 until it dies! Hoping to get to 400,000 miles. I test drove the Mx P100 a while back and liked it. People experiencing problems is a concern but with warranty, i'm hoping that will be okay.

I'm considering Used 2016 Model X performance from Tesla-Recommend it?

So you can't keep Ludicrous mode 'on' at all times?
  9. Teriyaki88

I'm considering Used 2016 Model X performance from Tesla-Recommend it?

Long time Model S P85 driver/owner. Considering adding a MX P90 or P90DL. Would you recommend it? Thanks in advance.

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

In addition to previous posts about small lanes, be extra careful of those large trucks with tow hitches. They stick out 6-8 inches beyond the truck's tailgate.

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

This project was planned long before Tesla became a household word. And the project has been scaled back from the original plans. I can't wait til it's turned on. IMO this sight will be the busiest SC in San Diego. All the Fuss About One Paseo in One Placeo - Voice of San Diego

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

I'm going to say this location will be the busiest SC in SD. Close to the 5, close to nice shops and restaurants, and close to a large residential complex, and close to lots of Tesla owners.
  14. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

I've owned my Model S since 5/2013. If you take a look at the number of Tesla's on the road versus number of SC's, it has not kept pace with production during the past year. It will get better over time. For the first 3.5 year, i never waited at a SC. And I drive ALOT!! Back when i got my...

For discussing the issue of locals charging at California Superchargers

If you are posting here i assume you drive a Tesla. Why do you care if he's a local and he uses SD SC's? Just saying

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Friars Road (Mission Valley, LIVE 31 Jan 2019, 24 Urban + 24 V3 stalls)

The entire Friars Road/163 intersection is a nightmare with all the construction going on. Then add to the mix the holiday shopping traffic. Holy cow! But i'm really excited for this location to come alive!!
  17. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Del Mar Heights Road (CLOSED 16 Sep 2021, 18 urban stalls)

Any additional SC is welcome in SD ;). If anything, I'm glad its East of 5, not West of 5. That area can be a bear, especially during the horse racing season and fair season. I didn't realize who big that OnePaseo development is. Holy cow. and that's a smaller version than originally approved.
  18. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Friars Road (Mission Valley, LIVE 31 Jan 2019, 24 Urban + 24 V3 stalls)

To avoid confusion, I also think this site should be renamed "Fashion Valley". The regional area in called Mission Valley and the two largest malls in the area are called "Fashion Valley" and "Mission Valley", located only 1 mile apart. This SC is located in Fashion Valley Mall. Thanks!
  19. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Santa Ana, CA (12 V2 stalls)

San Diego/QCOM has one. They recently changed the vendor/company who's providing the service. Its a contractor, not a Tesla employee.
  20. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Stopped here on the way back from OC. Holy cow 19 of the 20 spots were occupied about 4:30 on Saturday 11-20-2018. Was not expecting that many spots to be occupied. I'm guessing electric cars are here to stay ;)

Supercharger - Emeryville, CA - Powell Street Plaza (LIVE 28 Mar 2020, 12 V3 stalls)

Yes!! I was tired of non-SCers near Cal. This is great

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

What's your estimate of users of this location, Q employees vs Non-Q employees?
  23. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Camino Del Sur (Black Mountain Ranch area, LIVE 11 Jan 2019)

Any new SC’s in SD is great! So with this location and Fashion Valley location, things are defiantly looking up for SD.
  24. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Camino Del Sur (Black Mountain Ranch area, LIVE 11 Jan 2019)

I'm excited for this location because there's other things i can do. Shop, eat, drink, etc. I really like the italian place and the gelato place next door. I would agree that your statement would be true in cases. I can think exceptions where it would make 'sense' to pay more 'cents' to...
  25. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Friars Road (Mission Valley, LIVE 31 Jan 2019, 24 Urban + 24 V3 stalls)

Fashion Valley is a great location for a SC. Central to everything. Only thing that's lacking would shopping and bathrooms after the mall is closed. I can't wait for this to open. As for specifics where it will be located within the mall, I hope its somewhere far away from the mall. The area...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

IMO the biggest relief to QCOM location will come when Del Mar, La Jolla and Carmel Mountain SCers open up. Those are viable alternate locations for those always going to QCOM.
  27. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Whoa! Did not know that its against the law. Over the years I've napped in SJC, Harris Ranch, Pleasanton, Barstow, SD, Hawthorne, Tejon Ranch and Gilroy without any problems. Learn something new everyday in this forum :)
  28. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

I think Del Mar would alleviate some of the line problems at QCOM. And La Jolla too? Someone pinch me!! ;)

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

I'm on SDG&E's EV TOU 5 plan which is good for heavy EV users. The rates are really good at $0.09 per kWh from Midnight to 5 AM. A quick comment about your estimate of $5-7: I think this is way too low. Depending on each homeowner's electric plan, rates from SDG&E can range from $0.24 per kwh...

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Jump in line? Have the car up in flames! :) RE: Disabled Parking. I think its a good idea but reality is that its not practical. I've yet to use my placard at any of the locations during the past five years. I just go in cue like everyone else.

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Most contractor's i deal with wants to do the job quickly and get paid quickly so they can move on to other jobs. If i was to make a wild guess the delay would be on the governmental side. Can't wait for this to come alive!
  32. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Maybe i stand corrected with exact specs but i do recall that there was an extra cost for people who chose unlimited option for $2,000.
  33. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

Initially 40's, 60's and 85's could get 'upgrade' to unlimited charging for additional $2,000. I decided between 85 to 85 with unlimited charging or just pay the extra $8,000 and get P85. There were extra goodies that came with the P85 that was worth paying the extra $$.

Supercharger - Carlsbad, CA (7710 El Camino Real, LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 26 urban stalls)

I fully support that everyone is entitled have an opinion. Period. I'm just glad that there's another option to charge my car. Yes its long over due but i'm glad it's finally close to coming on line. I'm celebrating that a 3rd SD location is coming on line soon. It wasn't too long ago when...

    Software Update 2018.28.5 377ec8b

I got the notice to update my software this AM. I did that. A couple hours later i went to the car and it showed what I needed to do to activate the PIN code mode. Unfortunately the screen also said I need to update the software. The IC said I needed to contact Tesla Service. The Main Screen...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

It appears our valet will be going off line soon. The nice friendly face, who kept the peace at this location, said that his company will no longer be at the site after Aug 20th or 21st. He said their contract with Tesla at SD and other locations in CA will expire. He did not know if some...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

Yup. For sure. Most people would have/should have moved when that women asked.

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

I won't post his ethnicity as I don't want it to seem racist. It was a Red Model X with a sticker in the back window. It looked like a sticker of the 5 major islands of Hawaii. Most drivers i've encountered over the past 5 years have been polite, respectful and helpful. I know there's a...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

Well i met the most obnoxious, rude Tesla owner today. The valet wasn't there today. His stand was gone too. The line was about 5 deep. I noticed a women was stopped in the middle of the drive way, in front of the row of Tesla's. She was pretty upset and was talking to the owner of a red...

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

A couple of months ago there were 4 cars in line. It was at night and the valet wasn't there. A Tesloop guy tried to pull into a spot that should have gone to before the first person in line could get over. I was so pissed. I went over and 'politely' pointed to other cars in line and asked...
  41. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

My recommendation would be to stop at San Clemente before heading to SD. I've yet to wait there. 20 spots.
  42. Teriyaki88

Supercharger - San Diego, CA (Qualcomm / Pacific Heights Blvd., 12 V2 stalls)

I think the biggest impact to this location will come from opening of Superchargers in Del Mar, La Jolla, 4S Ranch/Carmel Mt Ranch. Downtown SD location is not a good substitute for those frequent this location. This site is close to number of tech and scientific companies, and close high...
