    Supercharger - West Lebanon NH

Token shots from this afternoon. No change from the ones yesterday but some other angles.
  2. F

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

Well I was in the area again randomly Tuesday evening, and swung by to see the progress. Looks like all that's left is re-striping the parking spots. Oh, and of course the complete lack of a transformer, which is mildly important as well. 😀
  3. F

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

This strip mall is currently super duper dead, so even without superchargers no one would be parking here regardless.
  4. F

Supercharger - Ripon, CA (under construction Jun 2022, 12 stalls)

Wow, we have very different definitions of "nearly finished".
  5. F

    Supercharger - West Lebanon NH

Oh man the people who constantly park on the wrong side to charge must be all sorts of confused right now.
  6. F

    Park City, Utah Supercharger

During the latest update to the "Find us" map, the coming soon pin from Park City has now been completely removed. Not a good sign. (Ogden is gone now also) I have a feeling Heber -> Duchesne -> Vernal -> <???> -> Craig, CO might be the next W/E route... Vernal is a prime candidate as it...

    Supercharger - West Lebanon NH

I'm sure people will continue to park on the wrong side and plug in when the expansion is completed.

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

That's the biggest silica packet I've ever seen. 😲

How I Recovered Half of my Battery's Lost Capacity

I wrote a much more snarky post, but after reflection I'm going to just boil it down to this: Not everyone has the same ownership experience in regards to their battery capacity. What "works" for one might not work for others. There are hundreds of thousands of Teslas out there now, and while...

    Supercharger - Rapid City, SD

While poking around on Supercharge.info I noticed that this site was listed at 120kW (and pics show the V1 pedestal design). I get it's one of the original batch of SC's installed but has it been updated to V2 pedestals and 150kW speeds? I'm not 100% but I think all the V1 pedestals have been...

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

Never seen that super bendy flexible kind of conduit used before. Usually it's just the straight gray PVC kind that only flexes a little over a long distance and has the moulded bends.

    Tesla Supercharger network

That's still a heck of a drive, especially in winter. I'm surprised there isn't one in Jackpot, NV yet either.
  13. F

Supercharger - Harris Ranch, CA - Expansion (under construction Apr 2022, 80 stalls)

I used this new site called google, you should check it out.
  14. F

    Supercharger - Burlington, MA

So things are progressing normally then.
  15. F

Supercharger - Salt Lake City, UT - Marketplace at 18th

I'm pretty impressed with this location. I have a late 2018 Model X, Pre-Raven. I stopped in for the first time here to top off Thursday evening. I was the only one there and I pulled 176kW @ 25% state of charge. I've never seen above 150kW on V3's, in fact I didn't think my car even had the...

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

The problem is the optimal charging strategy is kind of a pain, and also makes it look (to the untrained eye) like you can't use what you have. I.e. You have this huge battery, but only use 30% of it for the best long term health of the pack. To anyone outside the EV world (and lots in it)...
  17. F

    Supercharger - St. Johnsbury, VT

You'd never know based on all the VT plates enjoying the tax free shopping in W. Lebanon.
  18. F

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

Update from Monday around 4pm. Actively digging up where the charging pedestals will go. They also are still working on the sewer/water line project from earlier this spring across the parking lot. The two projects are not connected. @MarcoRP @Chuq. Also this post is correct on the...

Supercharger - Haubstadt, IN - Ruffian Way

    Looks like a scamp.

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

My X has actually been in NH since last summer, I've just been flying back and forth for the last year. Park City Utah has a fabulous free public transit system so I didn't really need to do much driving while I'm home, I've been driving my old beater Subaru that I have there. In New England...

2022 Model X - in Service for nearly 30 days

I took delivery on my new X at the end of Sept of 2018. I drove it for about 2 weeks, then dropped it off to get the punch list of things wrong from delivery worked on. I got the car back in late January. So yea, they hold on to cars for awhile sometimes.
  22. F

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

Was in the area this afternoon and swung by the location. No change, no signs of SC construction.
  23. F

    Model X Winter Tires

My tires wore out. I originally planned on getting 2 new OEM front 20" X rims to put on the back so I could go with a square setup for ease of rotation. Sadly from Tesla those are $750 each, so instead I ordered a set of full 19" rims from TSportline. They are all the same size, 8.5" wide, so...

    Supercharger - Barstow, CA - Tanger Way (LIVE 26 May 2022, 20 V3 stalls)

*Up to 4 stalls. While 4 is by far the normal install, it's not unheard of for there to be only 3, or even 2 pedestals per cabinet for V3.
  25. F

    Service Center - Bedford NH

And it can cost you $1 just to get there.
  26. F

Value of 2012 Model S Signature P85 w/out working battery

Off hand, you got to keep free supercharging right?
  27. F

    Supercharger - Tyngsborough, MA

I randomly was in the area and stopped by. The guy in the National Grid truck said this was sewer line work. Not supercharger related. He didn’t have any information about when that would start. Also you all weren’t kidding, this strip mall is empty.
  28. F

    Supercharger - Lenox, MA

Odd spot. Pittsfield (or North Adams) would be better.
  29. F

    Supercharger - Kingston ON

Yea, I've had some looooong preconditioning drives in New England when starting with an overnight cold soaked battery. Leave from a home, set a SC as my destination and it starts pre-conditioning almost an hour in advance of arrival to the charger. Supercharger preconditioning (vs normal...

    Supercharger - Kingston ON

The older 150kw (aka V2) chargers share power. You can tell if you are at a V2 by A: the cord is much thicker than V3, noticeably so. and B: the stall will have "1A, 2A, 1B, 2B" and so on stickers at the bottom of the pedestal. The cord thickness is the easiest way to tell the difference...

4680 batteries, what is the advantage?

The existing cars are selling just fine with the range they currently offer. The competition (in the same price range) doesn't really have the same range, or the same charging network. 4680 allows them to produce a car for cheaper that they will sell at the same price. Should they need to...
  32. F

4680 batteries, what is the advantage?

You guys are pretty optimistic, I'm guessing they will produce a car that uses less cells, weighs less, has the same range/specs, and will use the added margin to further the company. Then in a few they can increase the number of cells to increase range should they need to. "Same with less."
  33. F

Supercharger - Hooksett NH Rest Areas

    Concord is now open.
  34. F

    Park City, Utah Supercharger

It’s been 5 years since Tesla first posted it. Now, with the fresh 2022 supercharger update on the ”find us“ page, the Park City supercharger has been delayed again and now states a vague “Target Opening 2023”.
  35. F

    Supercharger - Templeton, MA

Greenfield, North Adams, & somewhere around Manchester VT would nicely fill out western New England.. Bennington would also be helpful, but North Adams would sudo cover the area.

Free Supercharging for S’s and X’s

Roadster should come with free supercharging if it ever actually comes out. If you are dropping $200k on a vehicle, you should get that as a perk.

    10.8 FSD

Unless I am actively showing someone where FSD currently stands, I don't use it ever when others are in the car. It's beta! And a scary one at that. Using it with little kids in the car is asking for trouble. I don't often have passengers, but when I do I'm always in control of the vehicle...

Same. I was onboarded with 10.5 and no email was sent. Just appeared.

Lost all Supercharger locations with 2021.44.25.2-V11

Also apparently the default display has changed a bit from what I've read. (I've not yet gotten the update myself) I think you need to zoom in a bit more before it shows where the superchargers are. They might be a bit hidden when zoomed out? Again I don't have it yet so can't say.
  40. F

    10.8 FSD

It's after 11am on Christmas Day and still no (pre-refresh) Model X have been gifted the new update. What is the holdup on these cars? Actually now that I look at it, I don't even think any refresh (2021) X have gotten it either.
  41. F

    10.8 FSD

Very odd that so far this is a Model 3/Y only rollout. It's nearly 9pm eastern, and according to TeslaFi only 3 Model S, and zero Model X have received the update. Meanwhile nearly 1,500 3/Y are happily self driving around on 2021.44.25.6. Wonder what the hold up is for these cars.

    Blackvue Dashcam 12v Constant power?

That's what I'm currently powering my dr650s with. It will work fine with the 900X Plus? I saw it had 3 wire power (Vs 2 for the 650) and got worried. If I can just swap it in using the existing cable that would make life so much easier. Installing that whole shebang into the X was a pain.
  43. F

    Blackvue Dashcam 12v Constant power?

Getting ready to swap my trusty DR650S with a new DR900X Plus. I thought it would be a simple swap out, but now I'm reading (like OP) that the power cable is different. Anyone sort out how to install this new 3 wire power cable (Power, Ground, Accessory?) in a Tesla (X in my case)...

The unofficial "when do I get my FSD beta update" FAQ

10.6.1 today started rolling out in a wider release. You should have it in the next few days.
  45. F

    Safety Score

Replying to my own comment, as I received 10.6.1 as part of the wider rollout today (Existing beta user). This is a very good sign that new people should get it in the next few days.
  46. F

    Safety Score

10.6.1 (aka 2021.36.8.10) has started to trickle out. Currently only to existing beta testers who already had 10.6 prior. As long as things aren't a disaster, we should get it by the end of the week.
  47. F

    Safety Score

Tanner, 10.6.1 has not started to roll out at all. No one has it. 10.6 was (briefly) released, which means they have stopped seeding 10.5 completely to new beta testers, even if you meet the qualifications to receive it. Just be patient. Once 10.6.1 starts to trickle out, if you are 100/100...

ONLY FOR USERS WITH 98/99 NEW FSD

No one will get the beta until the .1 version starts rolling out and makes its way down the ranks. 36.8.9 had some issues, and they are working on a new release to fix the bugs. Once that newer version of FSD gets put out it will filter down through the existing beta members, and then once...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

If it's anything like the last rollout for new people, once they release a new OS version they no longer distribute the old version to people who are newly eligible to receive it. You just have to maintain your score and wait for the rollout to get to you with the newest version.
