To clarify it, the up & down play only happens on the hitch receiver itself, which is bolted to the hitch bar (the hitch bar is very stable though).
the connecting bolt seems to act like a hinge which causes the up&down play. This "Stealth type" hitch by Torklift contains this bolt that can...
I also just got the Torklift ecohitch installed on my 2022 refreshed Model S, I found out after I mount my bike rack, there is some up and down movement on the hitch itself, I called the rack shop (they installed it for me) and they said it is normal. is there anyone else who also experience...
Yup, they will replace the rocker panel for me, but the parts took more than 4 months (the first ordered the wrong parts , and then ordered the one unpainted , and finally going to order the correct one), The appointment scheduling time also backed up for more than 1 month, I have scheduled to...
I recently received my 2022 refreshed Model S and noticed that there is a gap in the trunk latch cover, my other Tesla car doesn't have such gap so just wonder if I got a defect part or it is common for refreshed Model S so I can decide if I need to book a service appointment for that...
During a recently big snowstorm, I noticed my passenger wiper has noticeable poor wiping performance than my driving side wiper. the problem is the windshield fluid can not reach the far right side of the window, resulting in poor wiping performance while the windshield is dirty (e.g. during...
My car is completely buried after yesterday night’s snow at Lake Tahoe , the Tesla app shows it is still connected. Over the last 10 days, my refreshed model s only drain about 3 miles per days in average, much better than my other classic Model X which normally drain 10+ miles during winter if...
Yes, it is intermittent. the fan/motor in that autopilot box seems running in a burst mode which results in this whistling sound. I hopes Tesla can make the noise less noticeable in the future firmware update.
Just notice that the 2021+ Model S snow chain is now available at Tesla Shop: Model S Snow Chains
Seems that it is using Konig K-Summit XL 55 Snow chain, which is also available here: https://www.etrailer.com/Tire-Chains/Konig/th02230k55.html
Maybe the one that comes from Tesla shop may...
sorry for hear that. have you tried to call the service center about purchasing the All Season Tire? my local service center said they are currently out of those All season tires and I have to find some third-party tire store to purchase/install them..
did you hear any humming noise on your Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tire? I saw multiple reports in this forum that this tire create humming noise when driving on wet road. I am also consider switch to this tire but a little bit hesitate now.
I remembered I saw somewhere in the forum that people mentioned humming noise coming from Pilot Sport 4S tire on refreshed Model S due to the width of the tire. Not sure if it only happened on 21" wheel or/and 19"
I am also considering change my stock summer tire to A/S tire, the OEM A/S tire...
May I know which SC did you talk to? I am also living in Bay Area and my local SC told me I have to purchase a new set of All season tire, and also service center are stopping to tire service so I need to get the replaced tire mounted at third-party store.
is that whisle noise like this one? whining noise from the rear mirror in refreshed Model S the noise only happened when HVAC is on and I spent a lot time to pinpoint it and eventually found it is coming from the black box in the center mirror.
my yoke also has a buzzing sounds, besides that, the center rear mirror box is also making a buzzing sounds. besides that, I also heard a whining sounds from that box as well, it sounds like a motor is keep toggling on and off. see the video in: whining noise from the rear mirror in refreshed...
follow up with this topic. the service technical agreed this is something not normal and decided to replace the whole Rocker Panels for my car. However, the parts need at least one month waiting time.
Hopes Tesla can do better on their QC next time....
As soon as I took my refreshed model S last Sunday, I noticed a very distinct whining noise coming from the center. It sounds like a fan is consistently being toggling on and off repeatedly. It only happened when climate control is turned on. see youtube for the location and as well as...
my car also come with the same pirelli summer tires, I've requested a swap at my local service center but they say no. They also said all service center is stopping tire service so I need to purchase and mount the All season tire at third-party tire shop. :-(
Thanks!! It seems they didn’t to finish it up with the assembly . I will make a service appointment to see what do you they say. Hopes they will have a better quality control. It is my 3rd Tesla for past 5 years, they still struggle with that QC things.
I just got my car 2022 Tesla model s delivered and I noticed that there are three holes at the right underside of the vechicle . Is that normal? If yes, Won’t it cause water/dirt intrusion , and why it is only on right side?
Thanks for all suggestions!
When I get my model S LR 19” delivered, I noticed that it is come with Firelli P Zero (summer tire), is that true that Tesla is delivering Summer tire during the winter season?
Btw, I am living in California.
How do you know the $2.85/W is for 330W panel rather than 300W Q.cell?
Because when I get my first quote from Tesla, the cost per watt is align with the price in their Design studio, However, it is a 300W Q.cell Panel. After I requested to upgrade the panel, I got a revised quote with...
I would recommend escalate the case to executive, since you already have another Tesla, you can do it by go to MyTesla-> Choose your car-> find "Support" -> choose "Escalate this concern for executive review".
my model 3 is blowing at highest speed when the interior temp is high, by the way, how do you know the interior is 90+? I don't find it is being shown anywhere on the screen. (I only see outside temp )
Thank for confirming!
Maybe another bug on Model 3, would be great if you can also confirm that:
If I try to change the telescope position of the steer wheel, the "Restore" button is grey out, so I can not even restore to my previous position.
First I save it by press the save button . and after that, I adjust it to a different position and a "Restore" will be shown. normally, if you press the restore button, It will restore you to the previous saved position (like if you adjust seat recline angel, and press "store", it will move...
I found out my Model 3 can not save my lumbar position into my profile. It can be easily verified by adjusted the lumbar (the circle shape button that has four direction under the side of the seat) , and then tapped "Restore" button (besides my profile name) in the screen and...
I think some of the tesla owner here may be affect by this recall ( including me), just want to share it so at least we can make sure the top tether has been set up in our car in order to protect our kids.
Diono issues national recall for 500K car seats
Safety Notice | Diono US
It may not necessarily been shown to carFax since it is a transportation damage and not an accident.
Also, even with replacement of bumper and fender, they need to do something more to compensate the inconvience. They can definitely gave you free 2 year or 4 year maintenance. I got 2 years free...
Summon with auto homelink On tried to damage my car once.

When I called. They told me they will look at the log first to see if there is some hints and call me back.
But they also have a service appointment scheduled in case I do need to bring it in.
I suggested if you don't heard anything back in 24 hours, call again and ask for a service appointment.
What firmware have you updated ? Is it 17.11.10? I got the exactly same issue after I update from 17.11.3 to 17.11.10 last Sat. Called and scheduled an service appointment this Thursday. I highly suspect it is something wrong in the latest firmware.
I no longer have GpS issue after updated to 17.11.10 but another bigger issue occurs:
Cruise and auto-pilot no longer works. :-(
Whenever pull the tab, it prompts:
Cruise is not available.
Anyone updated to 17.11.10 has the same issue?
I just updated to v8.1 today for my Model X (autopilot 2.0)which just support summon feature. However, I am not able to active summon from my keyfob, using mobile App is fine though.
Anyone has the similar issue?
@rush6410 Thanks for the details explanation, I tried all of them and it really helps, Tesla should add those words into their instructions.
When i did a Long press and hold for backward, i heard a click notice from bottom of the seat to indicate it transit from unlatched to...
@rush6410 Thanks for the explanation!
While I am moving the second row, how do I know if I am moving within the latched limit?
I do noticed when the second seat is unlatched, I will received a warning message on center console if I shift it to D gear, is that the only way to tell if the seat...
Sure I can unlock the car via my phone, but I don't think I can drive it without the physical key fob once. I.e. I left my key behind and park the car, I no longer able to drive it again unless I retrieve the key fob from my significant other. :-)
I noticed that If I put the key on a table near the car in the garage, I can still able to get in and put the gear to "D" and then drive away without any warning. Eventually, the car will find key is missing and pop up a warning while I am on the street and I need to drive back to get the key...
Hi @Jdeck , you are right, I think 12am-12am may be the cause of the issue. I also tried to set it to 8pm-7-pm yesterday night and also it won't go to sleep for the whole night.
However, when I set it up to 8pm-5am yesterday, it worked.
Hi @Jdeck , I have a problem to make "Nighttime Sleep Mode" works. I tried to have both TeslaFi Sleep Mode clicked and Scheduled Nighttime Sleep Mode click, with Start Sleeping At: 12AM and End Sleeping At 12AM.(Basically all day) everything else is set the default value.
The issue is when...
I found that when I am trying to move second row forward, the front seat will also move forward to prevent it collided with each other. However, then, IfI try to move the front seat backward, the second row seats won't move back and then the two seats collided.
Is it just me or it happens...
