With the camera in the interior, might as well allow us to call a simple command to start recording for whatever reason you like @one2many. Doesn't matter what you want, but be nice to record on demand.
Perhaps do it on a command like the above Alexa/Ring or like the Tesla honk that saves the current video to file. Be nice to turn it on/off via a command of some sort. Don't have to have it on all the time like big brother is watching.
Elon should consider this and allow us to turn on cabin camera and mic recording for purposes like this and others.

I didn't really pay attention to it. it happen as I was near the Tesla service area and just drove right in and they already knew of the issue and had the parts order prior to me getting there cause the car sent them an alert. they gave me a loaner as well.

My new x5 died on me twice and had to be flat bed out of my garage. But I wasn’t writing for a car magazine. So no one knew. Either way bad luck to have a model 3 failed and failed for car and driver mag. This is going to get the press that Tesla don’t want.
I totally disagree with your statement about Tesla fudging their numbers. Your claims has no facts and is just your opinion and frustration against Tesla. Go to epa and see how they get these numbers and see how it backs up your crazy claims.
How do you activate auto steer? I think my understanding of these terminology maybe a bit off. Doesn't double clicking down the right stock activates autopilot; which automatically activates auto steer and TACC? One single click down down on the right stock activates the cruise control...
