My EDD just slipped by 2 weeks to Sept 10 >>. Can't say I'm that surprised but I'm still disappointed. Mine was a November order but I didn't finalize my profile until February or March.

We've had a Gen 2 wall connector outside in the harsh east coast elements since 2016. The thing that killed the charging connector was water buildup between it and a TeslaTap adaptor. Put the charger wherever you park. I vote option 4.

Hard disagree. Wholesale rates look cheap (in fact they are often negative), until you add back distribution, demand charges, and global adjustment charges (in Ontario anyway).

That's been the Model Y range since at least mid 2021. Mine was delivered with 531km rated range. I don't know why they haven't advertised this.

Turo insures the car while on rental on their fleet policy. Their policy is in effect, not my own. My own would have nothing to do with it (though they were aware, and were fine with the arrangement).

Tesla is finally flexing its muscle to recoup Supercharging costs. We shouldn't expect cheap fast charging - there's too much capital involved, plus demand charges for these short bursts of usage. Tesla has not mitigated demand charges using stationary storage as a buffer. Maybe some day, but...

I've been on the Tesla Train since 2013 or 2014. I think it's fair game to judge people for buying gas guzzlers, but the reality is that fully electric vehicles are still out of reach for many. Mine was always on Auto, and it found a way to self-destruct while pre-conditioning. I've noticed a much slower ramp up in recent software versions, as you say.

Doubtful... I suffered a compressor failure and there was no indication they replaced anything but compressor, supermanifold, and lines. Unless one of those came with new sensors too.

Got my Model Y back. They replaced the compressor, supermanifold, and some AC lines as expected. Making all the right sounds now. Rolled into Toronto at about -18ºC last night (dirty as hell of a drive) and the heat worked as expected. Fingers crossed the saga is over.

It's because you have one or two drive units capable to generating a lot of heat both while in motion and stationary (see: "off-phase power" description). This is the part I can't figure out... why not just blast the heat from the drive units and save the drama with the compressor, if COP is ~1...

Update on my end.. Tesla is going to haul my car to be serviced, and provide a rental car in the mean time. Really happy they've been able to do a little better than a no-heat drive to Halifax weeks away.

I got this error two days before my HVAC stopped working completely. I'd say let them... and avoid the very cold until they do.
