Deep Blue Metallic with Full Xpel Stealth wrap

Ceramic coating just makes it easy wax free cleaning. Even a stealth finish looks better squeaky clean. It just doesn’t get shiny.

Looks like we hit the roll over to the next month. January 15th and now March delivery. Wonder what will happen February 15 😢

    Great looking ride!

Dragy times for Plaid and LR

I think it could be a while. The model Y performance doesn’t have track mode either. Although, it would be a blast to have!

    2022 MX Plaid 6 seater.

It may vary by SA like many things at Tesla. I would be wary as multiple SAs have told people they will be moved back in line with changes. There are tons of examples in the model X waiting room. It could also be worse than your experience because of the backlog on the X.

In any case, if it is a business vehicle, the depreciation is tax deductible over the life of the vehicle reducing your tax liability.

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

I’ve done it twice (Modesta - like ceramic but better - over Xpel stealth). It makes it super easy to clean and gives it a satin sheen. It doesn’t make the satin / matte glossy at all.

    2022 MX Plaid 6 seater.

Unfortunately, any changes will put you back at the back of the line except adding and removing full self-driving. You could consider keeping your order and selling the wheels or having two sets for summer and winter. I know that's a bummer...

They seem to be the new matrix headlights. It’s a bit washed out, but they do some pretty complicated patterns at the end. Model X Refresh - Santa Edition

Any owner or pro reviews of the refresh?

This is a good one. Goes through all the screens - Tesla Rob

We have "Close All Doors"...How about "Open All Doors"?

The refresh models have it don’t they? (Butler mode)

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

It does bug me that we've gone backward in range from the pre refresh models. It's still plenty of range and faster charging, but I still don't quite understand.

    2021 / 2022 Range

The charge time is a huge bonus
  16. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

Could be. Seems like a strange move though with the weight reduction allowing room for more batteries. I wouldn’t expect new models to usually go down in range.
  17. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

Did they? Car and driver reported "As configured, our test car's dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup houses a 103.9-kWh battery pack beneath its floor" in May on a model S. Why would they put a smaller one in the X? Maybe one of the first refresh X owners have a way to tell? Source - Tested: 2020...

    2021 / 2022 Range

Good point on real world feel of the mileage.
  19. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

I would be surprised if that is it. There could be a longer range in the future, but it still doesn’t explain why this model went down in miles with the improvements made.
  20. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

What are you (or did you) change about the suspension? Good point on speed.
  21. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

Would be nice to get a towing capacity increase too. Although the range is a bigger limiting factor when towing that the capacity.
  22. Joshnickell

    2021 / 2022 Range

Why is the refresh model x listed with less range than the previous. Teslarati reported the below recently. Seems like it would get a range and speed boost? Refreshed Model X LR will be lighter, more powerful Compared to '20 Model X LR • 14% reduction in battery weight • 13% increase in...

    Tint and Opticoat suggestions

If you have the option, I’d consider Photosync for Tint - it actually darkens and lightens some as needed and block a huge amount of heat. For the ceramic coating, I went with Modesta for long term durability.

    Model S - Best not-Tesla branded accessories?

Abstract ocean puddle lights, the T or S versions for the front doors. Norms (forum member) Dash Caddy and shelf butler (check out @Daerik s videos on these - he has a great accessory video too). PPF at least for the front. I’m a fan of ceramic paint coatings, but you need someone who really...

    Slipstreams to Arachnids

Thanks! And no, just a good imitator. It’s a full body PPF. Most are clear, but because I did the whole car I had the option of Xpel Stealth which turns the obsidian black to satin (standard black would look closer to matte). You are actually seeing the paint underneath. You can even see the...

Going to Test Drive a Model S tomorrow...what do I need to know?

Just head to a supercharger and you can share there! My first time at a supercharger I had to get help because I couldn’t get it unplugged. I didn’t realize it had to be unlocked. I had approached it from the rear corner, where it doesn’t Auto Unlock. Luckily the folks were cool and didn’t...

    Slipstreams to Arachnids

Huge difference in handling and feel of the road. I noticed the ride quality decrease for the first 30 minutes, and then it was normal. None of my regular passengers noticed a difference.
