Enhanced Autopilot is live in Canada for $6,400

Still way over priced. We could add the GT line package on our EV6 for 3K. It gave remote parking (smart park). Surround view monitors and surround view parking, Auto lane change on driving assist, Autopark, Leather seats, Power passenger seat, Power rear hatch, Ambient lighting inside. That...

    Supercharging in Canada Too Expensive?

You would compare a BMW 320. Upper trim Camry or Accord.
  3. C

    Supercharging in Canada Too Expensive?

No equivalent sedan is 25K. More like 40-45K. You won't a battery in 9 years. Also after 9 years any car will have a very low value compared to new.

Premium Connectivity Toronto to Windsor 401k

Service is spotty along the route. I have noticed this since I got my car 2 years ago. Interesting that I had no issues from Windsor to Atlanta Georgia and back in April.

Super Chargers about to get really busy in the near future

You are wrong. Charging will be a big money maker and Elon wants this source of income. All Tesla chargers will eventually be open to all EV's.
  6. C

Super Chargers about to get really busy in the near future

The idea is to be the charging solution for all EV's. To make this happen it will be all connectors moving to CCS and Tesla connectors.
  7. C

Super Chargers about to get really busy in the near future

It will be all superchargers. Not just 4 per site.

Would you take a demo with 67 miles?

Sounds like a rejected build, not a demo. Be very careful.
  9. C

Supercharger - Chattanooga, TN - Hamilton Place

The airport chargers will become far less important now. No need to update these.
  10. C

Supercharger - Chattanooga, TN - Hamilton Place

I wonder how they are going to do the Due Tesla/CCS cables?
  11. C

New Federal IZEV - does M3 SR+ qualify again?

LR is not an option. It was a different model so it does not qualify. Currently no Tesla's qualify. Even the M3 SR+ models ordered before the price increase above 55K no longer qualify.
  12. C

New Federal IZEV - does M3 SR+ qualify again?

Only a matter of days for this to happen. A very simple fix.
  13. C

Moraine, OH - Service Center and Supercharger

We have a sales/delivery center in Kitchener Ontario that has 8 superchargers that are public and used for new deliveries. This may be the same.
  14. C

    Supercharger - Detroit, MI

Not the area where the chargers are going. Unfortunately only a very small part is being revitalized.
  15. C

    Supercharger - Detroit, MI

Actually across the border. Very Dangerous in Detroit.
  16. C

    Supercharger - Detroit, MI

The question is how dangerous will this site b late at night?
  17. C

    Supercharger - Exeter, ON

Other areas are higher priority than two here.

    Aluminum wire on Copper receptable

The original poster indicated all aluminum wiring was looking for a fire to roast marshmallows.
  19. C

    Aluminum wire on Copper receptable

Aluminum wiring is perfectly safe it is sized and terminated correctly. Most of your utilities feeds are aluminum wire in many areas.
  20. C

    Model S Windshield cracks

Once you get one crack, there is stress in the glass than can result in other cracks occurring. Not that unusual.
  21. C

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

    Never going to happen.
  22. C

Master Thread - Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

His data shows anything colder than 10 degrees C in the battery will result in really slow charging. As the temp drops below 0 degrees C it will be very difficult to raise this battery temp.
  23. C

Master Thread - Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

It will get really bad in real winter weather. One of the big drawbacks of LFP batteries.
  24. C

Tesla switching SR models to LFP batteries

Motor heat is used first to heat the battery. The heat pump uses battery heat first to provide cabin heat. That's one of the reasons LFP batteries charge so slowly in the cold.
  25. C

    Should I upgrade my 2019 SR+ with a 2021 SR+?

Not now. The RWD Model 3 is dead in Canada now for new purchases at $59,995.
  26. C

Duty owed on tires shipped from Tire Rack to Canada?

Those Michelins will be tough to beat. Excellent tires.
  27. C

Referral kms kick in after free year of supercharging?

No double dipping. The programs run concurrently.
  28. C

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Wow. Just heard that Gordon's head exploded. HAHAHA
  29. C

Upgrade from SR (354km) to SR+

The battery packs are the same. The SR model is software limited.
  30. C

Upgrade from SR (354km) to SR+

There are a number of owners of these models. Not a big seller but there are some.
  31. C

    Tesla price increase to 55k

Kind of surprised with the increases since they are switching to the cheaper LFP batteries on the SR and SR+.
  32. C

    Tesla price increase to 55k

Destination is already included in the price listed. There was no change on this model.
  33. C

How are LFP batteries holding up?

LFP batteries charge much slower in cold temperatures.
  34. C

Tesla's in Europe have a different DC connector.

Looks like they are being moved to a different location on the site.
  36. C

Texas factory for Canadian/Ontario Model Y?

Mine has been excellent also. I was concerned over the winter I would see many chips but nothing in the last year. My Dodge Charger had weaker paint.
  37. C

If tesla opens supercharging to other vehicles. Can current tesla owners sue tesla

I would be fine if Tesla added 4 Tesla/CCS combo chargers at any location that allows non Tesla's and the added chargers were paid thru government investments.
  38. C

Solo in HOV lane w blue plates on Tesla - anyone in Ontario ever been pulled over for this?

Blue plates need more than one passenger or you get a ticket. Being an EV is not valid without green plates in the HOV lanes.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This was my first charging experience. I think it was better than the EA chargers. As simple as Tesla Superchargers.
  40. C

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

I highly doubt any car will be acceptable to you. Maybe a new car is not for you.
  41. C

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Well our dollar is falling again against the USD (Down to .80 again). That's why Tesla doesn't adjust prices very often.
  42. C

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

Really....Well a nice SR+ for someone else. An exterior panel, I can understand but inside an inner panel is a joke. Many automakers wouldn't even paint that area and leave in primmer of just a dusting of paint.
  43. C

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Companies can adapt very quickly when needed. F and GM will do just fine. Buyers want choice and they will be part of that choice. I am still long Tesla (Much less than I was at the beginning of the year) but to expect most major car manufactures to go away is foolish.
  44. C

Standard Range Model Y Currently Unavailable

Maybe not. If it gets the new cells it may just be a range difference.
  45. C

Standard Range Model Y Currently Unavailable

They will be back once they have enough volume from Texas.
  46. C

Windsor & Surrounding Area for Tire Rotation

I keep a set of lifting pucks in the car just in case I need them. Costco in Windsor says they do Tesla's and have the pucks.
  47. C

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Texas is building all east coast cars and Freemont all West coast cars to reduce shipping cost. I think all Y's will move to 4680's. SR will just have fewer cells.
  48. C

No More Passenger Lumbar on M3?

    No big deal.
  49. C

    Canada Waiting Room

    Sorry for your loss.
  50. C

Anyone has the LFP SR+ in Canada yet?

Be careful what you ask for.
