    48.35.5

Really bugs the hell out me when I'm travelling down the Pacific Motorway at 110km/h and it does that. I've found coming south on the bridge at taree is where it always brakes. I end up turning off cruise control

    Real life range figures?

When you get the CCS2 upgrade do a local check on NRMA chargers before you head off. When mine was installed I could charge at Chargefox 350kW (and subsequently evie 350kW) but I kept getting errors when attempting to charge on the NRMA network. Took it back to Tesla service who said it was all...

    Real life range figures?

I find on road trips the % remaining is pretty accurate when I put the destination in nav. Almost always I get 1-2% higher battery remaining than what was estimated. In my S 100D I usually get around 500km from a full charge when driving at 100-110km/h I agree on the non-Tesla chargers. Use the...

Powerwall 2 Install by ******* - Not happy!

That is correct as you have a 3-phase inverter. The 3-phase inverter needs to "see" the grid (or a source like the PW2) on each phase in order to operate. In a blackout it only sees one phase (the PW2). With a single phase inverter connected to a PW2 during a blackout the inverter is "seeing"...

Powerwall 2 Install by ******* - Not happy!

Definitely a CT clamp issue...easy fix. Hope someone gets out to fix very soon
  6. S

Powerwall 2 Install by ******* - Not happy!

Sounds to me like they haven't installed the CT clamps correctly. Readings will be really weird if they aren't connected correctly (they need to be on the correct wire, orientated correctly and then configured correctly in the tesla installation app). I had this happen years ago when my PW2 was...

Time for a new Model S

What sort of highway range are you getting out of your raven? My 2018 S 100D gets about 500km, so I'm interested to know just how much extra I could get if I pulled the trigger on a raven. 500 works, but an extra 100 would be even better

    Front Suspension

I've had this since I got my S 100D in aug 2018. They have replaced the front struts 3 times. Noise goes away for a while and then comes back. There is a topic in the main S thread. I've resigned myself to this never being fixed properly and the doink doink doink noise over bumps at low speed...

    cruise control unavailable

Check that all your cameras and sensors are clean. I've found in the past that when the car is dirty, or a camera or multiple sensors have insect remains on them I get the warning that autopilot is disabled. As soon as I go around and wipe all the cameras and sensors with a damp cloth it works...

    NRMA Nabiac Charger

Thanks, I'll follow up with Tesla as there must be some issue with mine

CCS charge on Model S with the adapter

I know I'm from the other side of the world, but I'm experiencing the same issue on 50kW chargers. I too have a 2018 model S retrofitted for CCS2. Works fine on 350kW CCS2 chargers (and CCS2 on Tesla SC), but when I plug it into 50kW CCS2 chargers it starts to charge then 2 seconds later throws...

    CCS2 for M3, adaptor for X and S

Does your CCS2 conversion work fine on NRMA's chargers?
  13. S

    NRMA Nabiac Charger

Update: taken a while for to get around to it, but I went over to the zetland (east village) chargefox chargers and tried charging using my model S CCS2 adaptor. The 350kW chargefox charger worked fine, but the 50kW charger (which is the same as the NRMA Nabiac one) started charging but then...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I'm not a violent person, but when I see acts like that I just want to pick up a baseball bat. Hopefully she will be recognised and charged
  15. S

    Powerwall Gateway

My understanding is this won't work, as the PW2s would need to be talking to each other such that each phase is 120 degrees apart (required for appliances that use 3-phase power like ducted AC, which will be damaged if the phases aren't corrected synced). AFAIK this isn't possible with PW2s yet...

    CCS2 for M3, adaptor for X and S

I suspect this: A Porsche Taycan Burned Down In Florida | CleanTechnica Although the cause is still being investigated. If it was a Tesla it would be front page news everywhere
  17. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I disagree. Sitting on the M1 from Raymond Terrace to Nambucca Heads with AP on makes the trip much less fatiguing. I just sit there with my arm resting on the steering wheel and it does it all with barely an issue for 300km. Not having to steer or continually press the accelerator is far more...

    NRMA Nabiac Charger

I'm going to go over there on the weekend to give it a try...want to make sure it's not something with my CCS2 upgrade

One Pothole, 2 Flat Tyres on a Model 3P+

Yes, but I save that for remote flats.

    NRMA Nabiac Charger

They are free, so you just turn up, plug in, push the buttons and they charge
  21. S

One Pothole, 2 Flat Tyres on a Model 3P+

The one thing that annoys me about Teslas is the lack of a spare, even spacesaver. I got a flat on a Friday afternoon in Sydney, called the assist number and they said someone would be there within an hour with a replacement wheel and would then exchange. Two and a half hours later I called...

    NRMA Nabiac Charger

Has anyone used this in the past week? I was going through on the weekend and since I just has CCS2 installed in my S I thought I would give it a go. Plugged in, pushed all the correct buttons and it started to charge at 50kW** then 2 seconds in the charge cut out and the NRMA charger displayed...

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

So you bought yourself a Christmas present!
  25. S

    Supercharger - Heatherbrae NSW

No mine is white and I only saw an X charging (apart from Coffs where there was a performance 3). Your 50kW rates probably about right for around 70% charge, as my rate had dropped to around that when I disconnected at 78%
  26. S

    Supercharger - Heatherbrae NSW

I managed to get an initial charge rate of 127kW on my 2018 model S (battery was at 25%) this weekend at Heatherbrae (and I had 126kW at Port Macquarie on Friday night with initial charge at 32%). I have never achieved this charge rate before. Anyone else noticed a difference?

    Tesla St Leonards to close

They definitely need a second service centre in Sydney given the large (and increasing) number of Model 3s now hitting the streets. I think by early 2020 the number of Tesla cars in Sydney will be double what it was 6 months ago.
  30. S

    Tesla St Leonards to close

Couldn't agree more. Willoughby is Tesla central
  31. S

    Supercharger - Heatherbrae NSW

My choice to eat on the way up/back from mid north coast is the Salty Dog at Coolongolook (about an hour north of heatherbrae and right on the highway). They do great fish and chips, and I've been stopping there for the past 10 years
  32. S

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

Hey Vedaprime, what is your current estimate for total number of model 3s delivered here so far? I think (apart from tesla) you have the best handle on this
  33. S

Anyone bought a "raven" Model S in Australia?

That is amazing. I'm averaging 202Wh/km on a pre-Raven 100D with 15000km on the clock. Still get 500km+ of real world range, but that Raven is sure looking attractive.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

This weekend I drove past 14 different model 3s in Sydney, plus a few S and X. A couple of weeks ago I'd be hard pressed to spot one model 3 when driving around. The Tesla invasion has begun...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Because Teslas are great cars...no other EV (or ICE) comes close.
  38. S

    Tesla St Leonards to close

So has anyone asked what is going to happen to the St Leonards SCs? I live 5 minutes from them and are super convenient...will be a real bummer if they are removed
  39. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

So why did you accept delivery of your Tesla?
  40. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Most are minor blemishes/cosmetic issues that are being/will be rectified, not structural or performance issues. Yes Tesla should be detailing the cars properly prior to delivery, but they have the stupid end of quarter delivery targets plus everyone screaming at them for their cars. As someone...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Congratulations! You've done a huge amount of work tracking ships/vehicles, which every model 3 buyer on here should be eternally grateful. I hope your car is perfect when you pick up and you enjoy it as much as I think you will
  42. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

But you don't own a model 3 and have never owned a Tesla, and from your recent posts you haven't ordered a 3 (or have cancelled). Actually from your previous posts it seems you cancelled your reservation in June 2018 and again in Jun 2019, or did you? Something doesn't add up. Short seller?
  43. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

You completely missed my point. So called issues like panel alignment and paint issues have been overblown by a massive short campaign to saturate the internet with negativity regarding Tesla vehicles, so people will have second thoughts about buying. Tesla buyers (like many on here) are now...
  44. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Pretty much sums it up. And I bet you never did this with any other car you have ever purchased. Like another member posted a few days ago, he saw the panel gaps then went to check his VW GTI and...whoops, they weren't very good (think he said worse). Of course there are issues that need to be...

    Model 3 Recommendation Poll

So we run another poll in 6 months. I'm thinking of another poll question....did you go over all your previous cars with a fine tooth comb when taking delivery? What do you think, so we run that poll?
  46. S

    Model 3 Recommendation Poll

Sorry for those still waiting, but hopefully you'll be able to vote soon too.
  47. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Classic, supports exactly what I said
  48. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

That's your problem, not Tesla's. The delivery date when ordering says "Est. delivery: month". It never said we guarantee you will have your car on 1 August. This thread has turned into a pack of toddlers crying in the sandpit because someone else got to play with the car first, then screaming...
  49. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

So I'll just sum up the responses to my post: "Fantastic car, greatest I've ever owned, but delivery was crap, so I'm never buying one again and I don't recommend you do either". Love it. Oh well, good luck with your future car purchases and service from the "established" car manufacturers.
  50. S

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Why are you buying one then? I get that you are super annoyed about not getting your 3 yet, but making statements about parts and service in the future with the only basis being Tesla haven't communicated with you about your delivery date is a bit rough. How many people have need parts/service...
