ok gonna ask the question again, because I saw one thread on facebook with people saying (and some even showing photo) of getting their reimbursement checks from tesla already starting last week. Is that legit? I haven't got anything yet.

I’ve had to have the control arms replaced 4 times. $1000 each time. Tesla says these are normal wear items and need to be replaced every 50k miles. I call bullshit but whoami. This should really be a recall.

Their form is broken and won't let you submit it if Tesla repaired it. You have to select 'yes' for being repaired outside of tesla and just submit the Tesla invoice itself as that option allows attaching files.

Tesla's online form is not letting me submit for reimbursement. My touchscreen died due to the eMMC and I paid $2562.50 out of pocket to replace it with the same defective MCU1. They even told me that eventually this one would fail too.

yeah this is me. 2013 P85. lucky to get 130ish miles during winter. I've had less. one trip when from "221 miles" to 2 and I only drove 98 actual miles...

it's their policy to force software updates upon receiving your car for any service. they will not service your car without updating it to the latest. its been that way for a while. even if you ask them not to do it, they'll do it anyway and there's no way to downgrade it back.

you should've seen what regen was back in 2012/2013. it pulled back HARD on regen. nowadays its barely anything as Tesla has nerf'd it pretty good. #chargegate #batterygate

you can do this 100% in supercharger without needing firmware update by using the existing car's api. if the supercharger is merely querying the status of the BMS (basically the same or similar to what we see with scanmytesla obd2) and VIN number, then no changes are needed on the car's side...

Random question, what is the normal range of cell temps when idle, when 100% charged, and at lowest SOC? When I drive my pack down to -5% or so they hover around 115f, just wondering if those temps are ok and if so, then what would be a “bad” temperature?

I thought they capped the charge rate (aka nerfed the curve) for everyone across the board, regardless of whatever mileage or dc charge total you have.

actually read the fine print, that $100 is not a deposit at all. it's a preorder processing fee. it specifically says this and that it is not a deposit for the car and that $100 will not be subtracted from the price of the car when you go to pay for it.
