    48H ONLY - 2013 P85 RWD 208k miles $23k OBO *NEEDS HV BATTERY REPLACEMENT*

Sale completed. This process was much less of a pain than i had anticipated. We did place a reservation for a Model Y, and will sell our 2013 Ford Flex after than comes in. I will be happy when i don't have to pay gas for that one anymore. That thing cost me $85 to fill up the other day...

    48H ONLY - 2013 P85 RWD 208k miles $23k OBO *NEEDS HV BATTERY REPLACEMENT*

208k miles. **Currently inoperable, as it needs HV battery replacement.** FREE SUPERCHARGING. This car is grandfathered in for life with free supercharging, which transfers ownership. This is a big +1. I think its also free connectivity for life, though it does need the LTE upgrade. Both...

    eMMC recall reimbursement

Got my check today, full remittance for @ $2732.27. Thanks Tesla for doing the right thing. Next up: reimbursement for the constant defective control links that have to be replaced every 50k miles for $900+ each time. Major safety defect there too, with tons of complaints here on forums and...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

ok gonna ask the question again, because I saw one thread on facebook with people saying (and some even showing photo) of getting their reimbursement checks from tesla already starting last week. Is that legit? I haven't got anything yet.

Failed Rear Lower Control Arm / Service Bulletin SB-19-31-001

I’ve had to have the control arms replaced 4 times. $1000 each time. Tesla says these are normal wear items and need to be replaced every 50k miles. I call bullshit but whoami. This should really be a recall.

Has anyone received reimbursement yet? I’d like to get my $2800 back for their defect.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

This is not some TSB or general repair. This is a recall, and as such that warranty period does not apply. Under federal law, they are required to provide reimbursement for costs incurred by owners to remedy the safety defect conditions prior to the recall. They are 100% on the hook, the law...

    eMMC recall reimbursement

Their form is broken and won't let you submit it if Tesla repaired it. You have to select 'yes' for being repaired outside of tesla and just submit the Tesla invoice itself as that option allows attaching files.
  12. Y

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Tesla's online form is not letting me submit for reimbursement. My touchscreen died due to the eMMC and I paid $2562.50 out of pocket to replace it with the same defective MCU1. They even told me that eventually this one would fail too.

my S is a different car in winter vs. summer

yeah this is me. 2013 P85. lucky to get 130ish miles during winter. I've had less. one trip when from "221 miles" to 2 and I only drove 98 actual miles...

Tesla upgraded my car to 2020.4.1 while in service without authorization

it's their policy to force software updates upon receiving your car for any service. they will not service your car without updating it to the latest. its been that way for a while. even if you ask them not to do it, they'll do it anyway and there's no way to downgrade it back.

    Less regen after new software

you should've seen what regen was back in 2012/2013. it pulled back HARD on regen. nowadays its barely anything as Tesla has nerf'd it pretty good. #chargegate #batterygate

    Tesla coercing software updates!?!

as an experienced software engineer myself, this is exactly why I refuse updates. If there is something critical they are fixing, it should be part of the release notes. Most of their releases now are about nerfing capabilities and taking features away. Since their release notes are...

Rumor Mill: Upcoming 500-Mile Range For Tesla Model S, 400 For Model X

no longer a rumor. jason hughes found new references in the latest BMS with packIds that incidate 109kWh *usable* meaning a 115 or 120kw pack size. its on his twitter. something about 108 cells per group ~450 volts per pack which is a different design than current architecture.

    Tesla coercing software updates!?!

yea I got this notice on feb 11th. I will not be updating as I'm still on 2019.16.2 and not voltage capped yet with 205k miles and about 65% of that supercharged... according to recent updates in the massive sudden loss of range thread, 100kw packs are starting to get restricted now too. if...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

you can do this 100% in supercharger without needing firmware update by using the existing car's api. if the supercharger is merely querying the status of the BMS (basically the same or similar to what we see with scanmytesla obd2) and VIN number, then no changes are needed on the car's side...

as someone who has 205k+ miles where more than 60-70% of that is supercharged and who has been denying updates since before batterygate, I believe it is the software firmware update that does the #batterygate voltage cap on the battery (hence why I keep denying updates), but #chargegate is...

    How pairing at Supercharging works

except that it's going to piss off the person you're "stealing power" away from if you're not taking 72kw instead of 36kw.. I had just experienced this verbal assault last week. I arrived at a busy supercharger, 5 out of 8 stalls taken. each paired set had at least 1 car on it. so out of the...

oh I’ve been taking scanmytesla pics since January. I usually 100% charge once per week. I will continue to do this until end of April then I’ll update and do another 100% charge. Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Random question, what is the normal range of cell temps when idle, when 100% charged, and at lowest SOC? When I drive my pack down to -5% or so they hover around 115f, just wondering if those temps are ok and if so, then what would be a “bad” temperature?
  32. Y

    Maximum battery charge level reduced

I wonder if i should update from my 16.2 version now and cross my fingers that I get capped and then this warning and then battery replacement? Should I keep denying software update or do you think their latest software is addressing batterygate/chargegate by now replacing older packs?

Drivers hogging the supercharger space without charging

I thought tesla changed this at some point where if the car is locked and keyfob isnt near that the locking mechanism won't release thus preventing other people from plugging you in like this.

Rated miles versus real miles, small sample but I'm getting 63%

I’ve been saying this for years. My 100% charge on my P85 shows about 227 miles, but when driving with CC at 70mph with no heat or AC on I can only get about 150-160 real world miles before I’m down to about 15 miles on the display which is danger shutdown anytime range. QuietTrack vs Avid Ascent GT vs PureContact LS tires, which is most efficient+quiet?

I bought the PureContact LS and am very happy with them. Probably have 7-10k on them already. I used to use the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ and the PureContacts are comparable to the grip of the Michelin’s , they are quiet, and they are also more efficient. The Michelin’s burnt an extra...

    Binghamton, NY Supercharger

Meh, in my experience almost every SC location has at least 1 broken charger. I do stop at Binghamton maybe once or twice a month. I actually never noticed the pooling. However I have been harassed a few times by local teenage punks that seem to hang out or drive by this location.

I know, that’s why I said “adapter” “and” “odb2”. Specifically, I bought the “Tesla Diagnostic Cable Model S 2012-2015 OBD scan my Tesla scanmytesla” adapter cable off of eBay, and then I bought the “OBDLink MX+” adapter off of amazon.

How to charge a Model 3 from Cybertruck

because they haven't been designed yet.

    Tesla Cybrtrk

actually read the fine print, that $100 is not a deposit at all. it's a preorder processing fee. it specifically says this and that it is not a deposit for the car and that $100 will not be subtracted from the price of the car when you go to pay for it.
