    FSD Really This Bad?

Ahhhh, you are correct! The button did state, "Navigate On Autopilot". ...FSD is even worse??? SMH.

"Refreshed" Model S model VIBRATION tracking and information thread!!!

Nothing to do with tires or wheels. It is all half-shafts (at least my car). Had vibration around 43 mph. Tesla verified it. Tesla replaced both half-shafts. Vibration was gone. 1,500 miles later, vibration returned at the same speed.

MYP won't auto connect to Wi-Fi. "Unable to obtain IP address" error when manually connecting to wifi. Only a hard Reboot auto-connects successfully.

Just got my car back from Tesla service for this exact issue. I have to scroll wheel reboot the car to connect. I've tried everything like the OP tried, right down to the guest network. Anyway, of course Tesla said it connected fine at their service center and they can't duplicate the problem...

    FSD Really This Bad?

My Refresh S is in the shop (again) and they gave me a 2017 S loaner car. My S doesn't have FSD. I don't drive enough to justify the price, so I didn't want it. The loaner S does have FSD so I decided to see for myself how cool it was and maybe try to justify adding it to my car. The stupid car...

    Refreshed MS LR/Plaid Firmware status

I think the big difference now with this update is that if your battery is at/near 100% SOC, the car will use brakes to slow when releasing the accelerator. Prior to this update, you'd coast and just about hit the guy in front of you by the time you realize that there is no regen.

Yah, add that to the airbag-mounted horn button mod for us very early adopters.

    Wipers too fast

My Tesla is the first car I've owned in many years where the Auto-wiper setting is useless. It's basically a Med-Low-Med-High switch. I use the single-press windshield clear in all but moderate to heavy rain. I had a M3 and it was the same, however those wipers also stutterEd across the glass in...

Better to buy or lease S due to tech improvements?

I normally do a two or three year lease for every car because I drive about 10k a year. This Tesla is the first car I didn't lease. Teslas lease terribly. You have to run the numbers yourself, especially if taxes are a consideration in your case. For me, when I sell the car in four years for...

    Show of hands… Adaptive Suspension

g Readings I have the same issue. I recorded g readings for the sport and comfort settings. I can feel no difference In the ride. The ride is too stiff in any setting. I did find in the softest mode, the car registered about .5 g more bounce over the speedbump. The opposite of what I should...

Handling S Long Range v Plaid

It was the quickest. The Rimac Nevera beats the Plaid by about a tenth of a second to 60. It is technically "production", though only 150 of them are made, and they fetch close to two million dollars if you are one of the lucky 150 to get to buy one.

    Spotify - Buggy/Not Loading?

It hasn't done it enough to say it's worse with the update for me. I only drive a few hundred miles a month, though, so I'm not the best reference.

Plaid Suspension Accelerometer Test Readings in Comfort and Sport Modes

Physically, I can tell no difference between Comfort and Sport Suspension modes. The GUI displays changes to the suspension when selecting various different modes. I can feel no difference. Two Tesla Service Techs rode with me and said they felt very subtle changes. I don't feel a thing, and the...

FSD for 10k, is it worthwhile

Mercedes has L3 to 40mph on many highways in Germany and is awaiting future US approval. Mercedes assumes full legal responsibility if the vehicle crashes with L3 engaged. Spotify - Buggy/Not Loading?

That thread is a different issue. It's regariding an autoplay issue with Spotify. My issue is Spotify doesn't work at all. Or rarely. Since the update. Just spins and won't stream. When it does, it loads a quarter of my playlist then scrolls forever down the same songs. It's a buggy update Elon...

Spotify Playlists - Partial Load/Endless Scrolling Issue

...as do I. Endless scrolling of about 25% of my whole playlist. I also can't get it to play a song. Just sits there and spins. The Tesla music app streams just fine, so it's not connectivity.

    Show of hands… Adaptive Suspension

Plaid on 21” wheels. No difference at all in any of the suspension settings. A Tesla tech test drove it with me and said it is, “very subtle”. I categorize it more as “harsh as hell on my ass in all modes”

Is there a button on the yoke that can answer the phone?

The video is correct. Palming the right side creates a "burst" horn. The horn button alone cannot create this sound, only the standard horn. I still have a hard time getting the palm technique to work in the heat of battle when someone is about to hit me. The wipers always work when that...

    2021 Refreshed Model S w/ 21" tires - suspension issue?

Feature request: Blindspot images on instrument cluster

Tesla updated the resolution of the IC on the Refresh S/X to full HD, 1920x780. So it is interesting...perhaps Tesla plans to add video at some point. Full HD for the current rudimentary object-based rendering seems excessive.

    Bouncy Suspension Model S

It does, but it doesn’t do any good. In fact, you can’t tell the difference between the softest and hardest settings. The sliders move, and the graphics change on the dampening screen, but the feel in your butt remains the exact same. At all ride heights. It’s subjective, of course, but I took...

    Bouncy Suspension Model S

Suspension, horn button, turn signal buttons. Fix those three things and this car is perfect, in my view. I know they won’t be fixed, but the car as a whole makes up for it. I wouldn’t dream of getting rid of it.

Plaid Owners PSA: Ifhate the Yoke/Turn Signals/Horn, please complain to the NHTSA

I submitted my complaint several weeks ago to the NHTSA website. The horn button is a safety issue. I’ve turned on the wipers and the microphone both times someone veered into my lane. Driving in Florida, the horn is frequently used to get the attention of wayward drivers too busy texting to be...

"Refreshed" Model S model VIBRATION tracking and information thread!!!

Less than 2,000 miles. If the vibration returns, then my guess is something before the half shaft is bending it over time. New half shafts fixed my problem, so it is definitely half shaft related in my case, unless they replaced other parts with the shafts that are causing the vibration, and...

    Model S Heated Windshield?

A true heated windshield allows you to keep the entire windshield free from fogging up, without having to run the conventional noisy fan-blown defroster that fights with the cabin climate on a warm day.

Very weird. The invoice used to be in my Tesla app under the history. It showed the two half shaft replacements. I went in just now to copy them and the invoice is gone. Like it never happened.
