Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Elon has to fix all the soft serve machines in the world first before he fixes twitter. Arguably an easier task.

Moderators' Choice: Posts of Particular Merit

Been a hot minute since I've been on this thread. Let's think about the fundamental story of Tesla: Tesla Specific (short term) - Achieving 50% growth this year is possible without Austin or Berlin - Austin and Berlin are soon to be "officially" online, while Shanghai is increasing capacity...

Friday: Margin maintenance requirement increased from 25%->40% Monday: NHTSA probe on something... they've already probed on Thursday: Tesla AI Day What a gift. This reminds me of the fires of 2013.

I laughed way too hard at this. Sell in May and Go away. Would love to hear @Curt Renz perspective on the recent price action

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The inflation fears are absolutely overblown. A lot of one time recovery bits built in. Even so, with the amount of FUD, TSLA is technically oversold in almost every metric (if you believe in TA). We'll see what happens but this rocket is refueling just as it has in the past.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Same sentiment. I don't think it's been this bad since 2013. It's pretty crazy. I'm just waiting for the Gordon Johnson appearances on CNBC now. Oddly enough that Reuters article is terrible enough that I think Tesla/Elon should say something.
  12. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

That Reuters article that was posted is borderline criminal. All the proper keywords are there for algo trading. It's such a pointless article that's the worst part haven't seen FUD like this in a while.

Let's make an objective list of recent Tesla related news: - Texas investigation has more questions from the NTSB stemming from new evidence that came out (video footage) proving that there was a driver in the seat - well... duh there are more questions - Shanghai Autoshow "protest" due to a...

  15. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Whatever the reason is, capitalize on that. Too many catalysts that are within Tesla's control to be sitting this one out!

    Solar Roof pricing funkiness

I wish. It looks like they built in a bit about pricing in the purchase agreement.

I literally just had this happen. I have a feeling the are trying to move us to Panels.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Crazy to watch, but nothing has fundamentally changed with the company. Movements we saw today were largely due to macro economic factors, namely long term interest rates-- it was a "risk off" day. In addition, there's way too much noise about the competitors that are once again creating...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Hello All, Haven't chimed in for a bit. Recent times have been absolutely crazy both positive and negatives. Set your stops don't be too greedy. I am holding 98% of my TSLA because I still believe in the mission. Your money should go to work for good causes (so long as you don't need it for...

It's ok. Will take time lol Yup. One was the Takata that was blanket in the auto industry and another big one was the voluntary one with the back seat bolt. Also a third was for the battery pack shield if it affected your MY

same. Seems like a nice guy and does know his stuff, but the delivery is just as important.
  23. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It won't they are going to push it inwards as much as possible. Elon went over this with the whole aspect of turning force and preventing side impact damage

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The significance of the battery technology is not appreciated yet. it’ll take some time. More importantly the time horizon of 12-18 months is pretty impressive for the progress. increased output, lower cost, increased ROI on capex. All sounds great to me.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

LUCID will be just fine and so will Tesla. The pie is big enough for everyone to have a slice. That said, it will be incredibly difficult for them to scale and they have a higher standard. They are going to try to eat the upper echelon S class, Bentley's, and Rolls. Very very different market

Yes, capped dilution but I wouldn't say robbed wall street lol
  27. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Enjoy the sale folks. This is a mix of - S&P Inclusion (lack thereof) - certain retail investors were banking on this - Macro environment (historically Sept doesn't do great for tech) - Share dilution (although we were talking about ~1%, it still matters) People are panicking, but most of the...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I think we are all focusing on the wrong thing. In my previous posts I said S&P inclusion would be cherry on top. Similar to cars, there’s no demand problem with shares. Tesla already has enough institutional ownership. I think what we should all be focusing on is the last leg of Elon’s Germany...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Let's be clear about one thing: Gordon Johnson objectively has no clue what he's talking about when he values a business. Sorry to say but as a finance professional, he literally focuses on one thing and not the whole picture. Novice. Action we are seeing today is totally and completely...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Hello All, While I appreciate the Eurphora I think it's incredibly important to slow down and assess your stops if you are trading the shares. The share split is great, but overall the market is incredibly frenzied right now. ASSESS YOUR RISK. Personally, I've been TSLA for a very long time on...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We’ll be hanging in this range probably until battery day. I don’t see any crazy catalysts
  32. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I was hoping for $2,000 or so leading to battery day. Interesting times, but we've all been here before. Takes time for the market to absorb + macros. Tesla was a bit cautious on outlook for deliveries, but I believe a large part of this is what's happening in the US w COVID-19 which is...

  34. A

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

People are pricing in the prospect of S&P inclusion. The share movement is excellent, but be wary. Stick to a plan and set your stops. I’m holding because there’s a lot of catalysts and a potential further short squeeze (we need to squeeze every penny from the haters). I just don’t want to see...

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Are you including the new TPMS style (Bluetooth) or are owners swapping from stock rims?
  37. A

I returned my model Y after 24 hours

Sorry the Y wasn't for you. I just took delivery of my Y yesterday and completely understand everything you are saying. The difference here is I have fixes coming in place. The tires are the main problem. The Uberturbines while beautiful are just too much metal and too little tire. This...

The Unofficial Aftermarket Air Suspension Thread

I think the suspension was more comfortable over dips than stock. There was definitely less impact. Over high speed speedbumps it definitely was bumpier but that's due to having stiffer bags. It's subjective.

FS: Model 3 Air Struts and Stage 4 MagicAir Management

Handling is totally subjective but I definitely felt a difference when I stiffened things up (adjustable dampers). Definitly less body roll. I loved the look. Ride quality - I liked it but my wife hated it. There definitely was less "crashiness" but more bounciness. This is also pretty...
