So.... Hanover got it's transformer yesterday. And today, National Grid is onsite hooking it up. This one could be live within a week or two potentially. It will be a welcome addition for cape-bound traffic over the July 4th holiday and beyond if it is.

I found the site plans for the Portsmouth RI Neon Marketplace supercharger project at 3302 East Main Rd. I think it came up again at the June 16th, 2022 zoning board of review so this may still be going through the approvals process...

A late night/early morning visit to Gloucester revealed the following... no additional equipment onsite yet, but the supercharger and transformer pads are taking form, and the trench feeding power to the site is progressing in the right direction.

Sorry... I'm sure another opportunity will present itself given how many Tesla is building these days.

And per a conversation with a Tesla Energy employee working on preparing the Burlington supercharger for commissioning in a few weeks, equipment for Gloucester is expected to be delivered late this week.

Richmond commissioning was attempted today. Apparently they found an issue (factory wiring issue in the prefabricated units) and corrected it. Before the site can be brought online the remediation needs to be reviewed and approved further up the chain of command. They should be able to return...

Monday 6/60 update. Tesla Energy on-site doing pre commissioning. Goal is to have it online by 7/4. Hoping to have Eversource run the cables from the manhole to transformer and from ther to superchargers by 7/1.

Congrats on #300. I'm not sure when testing detects our craziness, but I'm certain 300 clearly shows positive and well beyond the possibility of treatment. 😁

FYI visited the site Friday 6/17 as a meetup location for a friend driving through the area. No changes - pedestals still bagged. The meter is live (and was on the 12th as well), so this should be online any day now once Tesla comes through to commission.

Sunday update - forms for the supercharger pads underway and work continues on the trench to the transformer with some conduit already in place. No sign of any Tesla gear other than the one cabinet that was delivered earlier.

The contractor that did the supercharger work also does their own resurfacing work. But yes, the supercharger build itself is 100% done, and waiting on Eversource at this point. Transformer lead times are long these days - lots of supercharger construction on the east coast reached this...

Lot still needs striping, and probably sealcoating over the area before that. And as of late last week the transformer pad was still empty (and nothing coming down the utility pole at the street either which will happen after the transformer). This could possibly still happen this month if...

Additional info - as I was leaving a noticed a National Grid worker checking out the site. When I asked him for info on transformer delivery he said at least three weeks and maybe longer. We’ll see…

I was considering this - while they might not need a zoning or planning board approval, I would think a building permit would still be required for code inspections.

Slow going. Excavation coming along with pavement cuts done and utility trench begun.

Sunday update. More site work complete. One smallish pallet of Tesla gear on-site with more to come. End of July is the likely earliest for this site to be open I think.

North Providence issued building permit #10247 6/1/2022 to demo two buildings and build a c-store at this location (1874 Mineral Springs Ave). At some point a supercharger permit will be pulled undoubtedly to go along with it - could be any time from now to just before the supercharger...

No equipment left on-site. Still awaiting lot resealing and striping, along with the transform.

Not a huge amount of change from last update - in part due to today’s weather perhaps.
