It sounds like you were charged for idle fees as one should be if their car has finished charging and they keep it plugged in. I fail to see what this has to do with the Service Center.

Glad to hear it. Our area is now 110 miles from the service center with no SuperChargers between. Which may play into it. But both issues can be easily solved.

We drive through W Va often with our Model 3. There are plenty of SuperChargers along the interstates. And many B&B’s or hotels have a 120v plug that allows us to travel there without issue.

To me sentry mode wastes a lot of power so I only turn it on when necessary.

We just have the 1 Tesla and just passed 82,000 miles. It has never left us stranded and has spent part of one day, 5 hours in the shop for a new windshield. We have not been worried

For most it is not easy to see the pricing as it is not posted. Yes one can dig but that is not easy at 70mph.

You must be driving very spirited. My Michelin Cross Climates still look good after 50,000 miles and I get 4 miles pre KWh. So my costs are well less 1/5 of yours. Solar helps as my electricity is about $.065/kWh.

Not really as the Prius tank is not large enough for 1000 miles so one will need to make at least two gas stops.

I like your analysis and it is good for trips. But we should remember that 80% of EV charging is done at home where it takes me less than 5 seconds saving those many worthless trips to a gas station.

I agree weeks do not matter. But months and years do. Cells falling out of balance is a very slow but real process. That is why Tesla and most other EV makers have invested so much in BMS systems and why EV builders often use them.

Yes I have done it many times. That said you need to understand the plugs available as many campgrounds, especially State Parks do not have 240v charging so it can be slow.

No that is exactly how it should work. The mobile connector is limited to 32 amps maximum. It can be less depending on the adapter but no more.
