What's the situation with the Toronto service center. It doesn't show up on the map. Will they let you charge there?

Getting my first Tesla taught me to do cat naps. I did a lot of road trips and I learned to sleep while I charged the car. It took me a while but eventually I got so used to it that I could just recline the seat and sleep for 30 min.

How is driving across the border to Canada these days? I looked at their website and I think I have everything they require (documents). Just wanted to hear from someone who crossed recently.

I got the last one in NH today. Work has caught up with me and I won't be able to do the last three stations in Maine, though. Next week I hope to make it to Toronto. I will stay in that area for a bit so I should be able to pick up a few. Not sure if it's enough for 1k.

Some odd thing with the power steering. Certain angles of the steering wheel became 'stiff' and required more force to turn the wheel. It was drivable but I wanted to get it fixed before it got worse.

Charge to 100% as much as you need taking road trips. Bad weather, a detour, an accident on the road, missing an exit, ... there are many things that can go 'wrong' on a trip suddenly messing up your plans. If you need to charge to 100% on a daily basis, you should look for ways to limit that...

I just looked through the different stats and realized I have visited more new Superchargers this year already than all years combined since I bought my first Tesla early 2014.

I entered one station wrong yesterday. Just hit the wrong row. The total number is the same, thought. Trying to add a few on Long Island today and tomorrow.

I just feel it's a massive waste of time and I really don't like driving in this crazy city.

Yes I was lucky. I arrived late. 9 or 10 pm. It wasn't busy and they just told me to park myself and plug in. Only paid $6 for parking. Not bad considering. Brooklyn 12th street was just super crowded. I arrived at 7 or so and I just saw no way so I decided to just skip it.

This is from Yesterday. As I mentioned, I might or might not go back to get a few more Manhattan chargers later. Just seems like such a pain. I should be at 957 right now. No way I can catch the others on 1k as I don't have enough new stations around me. But I think by the end of the month.

Maybe I will give it another try in a few days and drive at night. Not too keen on it.

After wasting hours and hours in NY and Brooklyn traffic, I have decided skip them all. Not doing that. Every time I visit NY I really want to like it, but end up hating more and more. It's just not my place.

I just noticed something interesting about the NB and SB Milford CT Superchargers. They SB is labeled 2A and 2B. The NB is labeled 1A and 1B. From a technical side they are actually one station.

As far as I know, it is perfectly legal to use the spot for charging as a non handicap driver. As I understand in, it is a requirement to have one of the EV charging spot designed to be van accessible, but it is not a handicap parking spot in the traditional way.

I took all seats out except the driver seat. I'm on the road 10 months of the year. 1500 Watt inverter for power, a fridge, microwave. Basically a nomad :)
