It is based on the version number of your update. The latest beta is 2022.12.3.20

    FSD Beta 10.12

My confusion was I thought that post you quoted that said YOU DEFINITELY get scored on AP was you saying that, but you were actually stating the correct info in reaction to that post… my bad. The other thing with the email and cut and paste is suspect to me.. Even on the tweet people are...

    FSD Beta 10.12

That email says Early Access Program, which isn’t the same is the current Beta FSD program (as far as I know). I think that preceded the current FSD Beta. But maybe someone that knows for sure will chime in. Or someone that has receive FSD Beta that never uses AP during scoring.
  4. Robotpedlr

    FSD Beta 10.12

This says just the opposite.. you will not get scored, but they count the miles.
  5. Robotpedlr

    FSD Beta 10.12

Are you sure about that? Sounds wrong since you dont get scored on AP.

The unofficial "when do I get my FSD beta update" FAQ

I am usually on the low side for miles.. think I have about 200 for the last 30 and a 99 score. Got another FCW the other day from a car 1 block in front of me turning.. damn… but powering though it since it only lowered me to a 98 and then i got back to 99 the next day. I am in Greece now...

The unofficial "when do I get my FSD beta update" FAQ

I actually took delivery of my 22 MS on 12/27 and opted in.. so I have you by 1 day. But I did opt out on May 2nd for a FCW and then right back in. Should have probably let it be as it would have washed through by now.

The unofficial "when do I get my FSD beta update" FAQ

How do you know there is a line based on the last op in/opt out date. Nothing at Tesla seems to have logic on who gets what when.

Recent Accident- Sentry/Dashcam did not record the Accident!!

This is why I have a Blackvue dash cam on the windshield also.

    FSD Beta 10.12

Is there a delay in sending this our to more Beta users? I dont see many new reports beyond the normal OG group. I am in the queue for the "new new" beta users...so was hoping the rollout of what seems like a great release would speed up some.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

It worked for me an hour ago... I just sat on that page where you select product or whatever that drop down under country is (got distracted by something on the news) and it populated within a couple minutes. I selected and it processed at zero $ and I now have the subscription. Got email...

    FSD Beta 10.12

I opted out a little over a week ago (false FCW). Score disappeared shortly after and then I opted back in later that day. Score reset and I am at 100 score again with 200 or so new miles.

I wonder why they didn’t make the screen tilt manual. For the couple inches it moves they could have skipped the complexity and wear items and just allowed it to be moved by hand. Plus they could have done that from the get go on the first refresh like they promised.

Is Tesla still giving out the FSD beta to qualified drivers?

No one that is in Beta already has a safety score (they go away once in beta). So by participants with high scores, he has to mean those that requested beta (button).
  17. Robotpedlr

Is Tesla still giving out the FSD beta to qualified drivers?

Always hard to decode Elons short tweets. My guess is more beta users based on score.

Not sure he said “all”. But fingers crossed.

AL Priority & Net Radar Laser Install on Plaid or LR?

No I just used the regular ones. I had that set up on my prior S and other cars and felt I had good coverage. No Dragon Eye in the Seattle area that I know of.

AL Priority & Net Radar Laser Install on Plaid or LR?

Yes, if keeping everything in the Frunk is an option, that would definitely be easier. I have never used the Bluetooth option...but it sounds like you have had good success with it. As far as power in the Frunk I am not sure, but imagine you can find something up there that is switched.

AL Priority & Net Radar Laser Install on Plaid or LR?

See the link below to a prior post, that describes where the location of the Grommet in the firewall is. I ran the wires behind the dash over from the Passenger side (where that Grommet I used is) to the driver side footwell area. I mounted (zip tied) the control box up in there near the...

    FSD Beta 10.11

It sounds like Tesla should send people “Caution FSD Student Driver” stickers with Beta… That way people behind us would not think they are getting brake checked. Lol

    Model S Refresh Mud/Splash Guards

I think that would take a lot of scrapes. The scraping wouldn't be as big of an issue (to me) if it didnt amplify in the car and sound bad. I think the amount you need to remove depends on 1) what suspension level you drive at 2) how spirited you corner 3) your terrain. As I previously...

    Model S refresh mud flaps

Good news is that they are easy to remove, cut and reinstall. I would do 3/4”.
  28. Robotpedlr

    Model S Refresh Mud/Splash Guards

Is your car lowered (lowering links or something)? I cut 3/4” off and havent noticed a scrape yet. But maybe I am not driving hard enough due to my fear of the Safety Score dropping. Lol
  29. Robotpedlr

Mud flaps for refresh model s sold out… any good options?

No, super easy install (5min). Pull out old plastic rivets, install flaps with new rivets (2 per side)... done
  30. Robotpedlr

Mud flaps for refresh model s sold out… any good options?

I trimmed mine by 3/4" and it solved the scrapping issue. The rubber on the bottom is super soft and very easy to cut with regular household scissors.
  31. Robotpedlr

    Model S refresh mud flaps

FYI For those without aftermarket lowering options… I have mine on my car with both OEM 19s and OEM 21s and they do not touch like that. The do sit very low and will scrap on dips and speed bumps. I cut 3/4” off and have not heard a scrape since (currently running my 21s).

    Model S Refresh Mud/Splash Guards

The part number on my invoice was 1762507-00-B from my order in January.

    FSD Beta 10.11

Where was it stated that this was Tesla's decision? Or is just an assumption based on lack of new invites? If Tesla made that decision, it would seem that they would remove the "FSD button" and safety score. Plus Elon tweeted the opposite last month
  34. Robotpedlr

    FSD Beta 10.11

But that same human brain gets easily distracted by everything on a drive. The computer does not. If everyone watched the road continuously and attentively there would be very few accidents.
  35. Robotpedlr

Vendor Mud Flaps that we are making for the Refreshed Model S, any suggestions on the design?

Good point. @AOSK I have the stock ones, so can give valuable comparison and feedback. :)

Model S Plaid: Paint chipping on Rear quarter panel and doors

If you cut 3/4” off the bottom they actually work fine. I have them and they scraped all the time…I followed someone’s advice and cut a small (3/4”) amount off the bottom and no more scraping and they appear to still have good coverage.

    FSD Beta 10.11

The funny thing about FSD Beta (from someone on the sidelines waiting to get it). Is that you cant even think about touching your brakes while you are in the Safety Score hell or you lose points... but once in, it sounds like FSD Beta is constantly slamming them on for no reason... ironic.
  38. Robotpedlr

    FSD Beta 10.11

Feel the same way. I wish they would just communicate what their plans (or lack of) are for adding people.

I watched the videos on FB several times and the difference is VERY minimal. Most posts says they cant tell the difference between the two videos. Maybe some crisper edges. But definitely not a dramatic difference in my opinion.

No, I was just saying 21s because they are at much higher risk of damage. But they will issue policies on any stock ties.
  45. Robotpedlr

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Yes It covers all road hazzards (nails, pot hole damage etc). If they cant fix it they replace it. if I recall correctly it is not prorated either. So as long as your tread is above recommend limit (wear marks) you get a new tire if needed.
  46. Robotpedlr

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I would recommend everyone taking delivery with 21 inch wheels to go to discount tire and buy a road hazard policy on your new stock Tesla tires. It cost me about $250 to cover all four for the life of the tread. Good policy on high risk tires. All they have to do is inspect the tires and they...

I am in the same boat. Got my car Dec 27th. 99 safety score. Got all the previous updates very early in the cycle and have not seen the last couple (am still on 4.5.3) so I am hoping we are in the queue for beta
