    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

As far as I remember. My Setec wasn't working. Flashed 164-1, still was giving an error. Flashed 164, it worked

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Working with FW 164 and load 2022.12.3.2. Interesting that even with the flash arc warning it worked. Here’s the notes in the manual. Appears Tesla has eased out and accepts that if they warn you you’re good

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Tried at a EVolve NY station. (BTC Power). With 164-1 got an isolation test timeout fault. It did work when I flashed to 164 I’m still pissed that the max charge is 50kw (used to be like 76kw before the software change last summer )

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Thanks. I’m going to re-flash mine to 164-1 today and test again I haven’t had a chance to try in months

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Before I pull the trigger and let the car go to software 2022.12.3.1, has anyone had success with the Setec and this firmware. Ever since my last firmware upgrade the Setec has not worked on both their firmware 164 and 164-1. Annoying, as it worked fine before that

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

You act like this isn’t a needed option Well, about 6 months ago got to work to find out the Superchargers were down and the car was at 15%. Leaving for 4 days, with vampire drain, not a good idea. Thank goodness I was able to run over to the EA charger and albeit inconvenient, used the Chademo...

SETEC CCS adapter blocked again- WTH TESLA

Interesting. Appears to have the same issues as the Setec with respect to flash arc danger. (It doesn't have the locking pin lock the Tesla one that is sold in Korea).

Vendor Tesla Model S Battery Extended Service Plans from 057 Technology

Ok, I’ll bite. I’m interested. In my case I have. Dec 2015 S90D. So if I buy in now my service plan would start sometime Dec Dec 2023. Here’s my issue, and wondering how you are/can address pricing. I drive a lot. Like between 22k and 28k miles a year. My only ‘heartburn’ is that the two...

Because you might find the car you want now but hate the color.

Are there third-party companies that will paint Teslas with factory/OEM colors?

For a high quality job a qualified maybe. We had my wife’s Range Rover color changed for just over $3k, but did not do inside hood or door jambs

My Tesla S P85d nightmare. I don't think I ever want another tesla ever again and want to get rid of this junk asap

Carfax is not the end all and be all. I purchased a car with ‘no’ damage history according to carfax. When applied for a loan, the credit union wouldn’t approve it because of accident history. Well, they use AutoCheck, and it did show an accident. The reporting agencies are only as good as...

    2013 P85 Battery Issue

From what I understand (and from other threads), it appears that Tesla's battery warranty is to replace like for like (or better). If your vehicle had 238 miles rated range before it failed, that's what you should be getting or better. This is where data is key. They may say your memory is...

Is there an update on out of warranty battery replacement cost

I’ll go with the crap shoot theory. (Hope I don’t jinx myself). I’m thinking regular use is actually better for the pack. At 100k miles S90D (I bough the car 15 months ago at 70k). Have been tracking degradation with TeslaFi since I bought it. So I keep the car at 90% at home. Charge to 100...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

As a data point -- in addition to the issues I had a chargepoint 50kw, tried a EA (EVOLVENY) 150kw yesterday. Got isolation test time out twice. Have v164 installed. Didn't have time to switch to 164-1 to see if it works. Sigh, was almost a stable device.... At this point I'm ready to bite...

My First Tesla Roadside Experience - (spoiler - it wasn't great)

Wow. Similar situation about a year ago on the NJ Tpke. Found a screw in tire (it was 12 am. When I got to the rest area, the garage wouldn’t work on it at first. I convinced them I had the jack pads (I carry a set) and would take all responsibility. 25 min later tire was plugged and on the...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Thx. Unfortunately I only have one charger to test at locally. I will also try 164 (vs 164-1) to see if that makes a difference if it doesn’t work
  31. B

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I'm on 164-1, however, the ChargePoint 50kw that I previously used will not work since the car updated to 2021.44.5. Has anyone had any success with the Setec adapter with 2021.44.5? My symptoms are that the car and the charger connect, I can see the SOC of the car on the charger, but the car...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I just tried charging on a ChargePoint 50 KW charger. It acted like it wanted to charge, but the car would not get past start charging. The charger had the correct battery level for the car, so it’s communicating. Do you think I should try 164 firmware? I guess I should’ve stayed on the older...

Ford Decides to Double Production Plan for EVs

It's not the cars... it's the infrastructure. I love my S. Is it the finest built car on the road, no. But, if I'm going EV, I can actually use this thing pretty much like my ICE vehicle. Why... because there is a wide ranging charging infrastructure that Tesla invested in. While Tesla...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Just received an email from Setec. No one has submitted capture files showing the issue. My car has not updated firmware, and not sure I want to at this point. Anyone out there that has 2021.40 able to run the diagnostic and get to Setec?

    Missing USB Ports

forget uber credits -- how many price increases have they had in the last year?!? I love my Tesla, but it's a long way from the early MS days. Now it's seems you're treated with arrogance ('you want it, fine, you don't want it, we have a line of people who will take it')

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Let us not also neglect that the two (at least that's all that has been reported) had been using admittedly 'experimental' versions of the firmware. Not as if they were not aware of the possible risks.

Consider yourself fortunate. Used they tend to go north of $500 if you can find one.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Sounds like it's going to become a cat and mouse game between Setec and Tesla. I understand the flash arc issue. From a liability point of view, I get it, if Tesla knows the adapters are out there, and can be used, they are the deep pocket that gets sued (not like anyone can go after Setec in...
