Up for sale is a set of 21" Tesla custom forged staggered silver Arachnid wheels, tires, TPMS, and caps set. These tires were used for less than 500 miles. One wheel has a very tiny bit of curb rash but it’s only noticeable if you are looking for it. For those who wish to know more about the...

TeslaLog.com - Your hosted Tesla Data Logger - Announcement / Support threads

Oh, this is awesome! I would love to download my TeslaLog data in the off-chance that James introduced a way to upload the data into TeslaFi (or other apps have the same capability).

    2019.40.50 Release Notes

I got a notification for 2019.40.50.1 a few moments ago. 17 were showing as installed via TeslaFi at the time, too. Considering the stuff in 2019.40.50, I can only assume this is the end of year update. I have a FSD computer in my S, too.

Powerflow on App no longer working

I encountered the same thing, but I also couldn't connect to my vehicles either. There was a 4-hour outage with the Tesla app (and API) so I assume this was related to that.

It’s been 8 days and Tesla hasn’t removed my old car

When I sold my first Model S, I had done a factory reset so it was showing as "Mobile Access Disabled" in the app and was useless for it to be there. I emailed [email protected] in mid-July asking for help and got an automated email the next day indicating that it had been removed. It...

What's state of the art for washing a Model S at home and making it shine?

I have Xpel Ultimate Plus on my blue Model S and am wondering if there are any recommendations for ways to avoid the dust that shows immediately after washing. I even see it before I finish washing my car! Am I chasing a pipe dream?

    How long will this take?

@Maaz To give you some data for me in Orange County: * Tesla installed my system on January 29 * My city inspected my system on January 30 morning * Tesla submitted my SCE application on January 31 evening * SCE acknowledged my SCE application via email on February 1 (Friday) afternoon * SCE...

Software Changes in 2019.5.15 f5def7e Preventing Sleeping?

Changing my Time to Try Sleeping from 5 to 15 seemed to allow both cars to sleep. I am going to attempt dialing it down to see if I can minimize the possibility of lost drives. Even setting it at 5, I would lose a drive or two at least once a week or so, so hopefully I can find that sweet spot.

Software Changes in 2019.5.15 f5def7e Preventing Sleeping?

So you are thinking this has to do with the current SOC needing to be higher than the target SOC? This is very curious. I just moved both cars down to 50% and will see if this changes anything. EDIT: It doesn't seem to be working for me. I made the change 40 minutes ago and it's still doing the...

Software Changes in 2019.5.15 f5def7e Preventing Sleeping?

I've sent an email to Tesla about this issue as it's very clearly something to do with the code starting in/around 2019.5.15. I don't know if/when I'll get a response but I have my doubts that anything worthwhile will come from it. I don't have the bandwidth to waste my time making a Service...

Software Changes in 2019.5.15 f5def7e Preventing Sleeping?

This is happening to both my S and 3 on 2019.5.15. I'll attempt doing the reset method described in the post above later today to see if that helps, though I'm not holding my breath. ;) My cars do sleep during the times defined by Deep Sleep Mode under TeslaFi but not the hours outside of that...

    Current (3/13/19) Referral bonus status

Is it safe to assume that you clicked the button in your Loot Box before it went away to start processing it? If you didn't start processing it in the app, I suspect you may be out of luck on getting it fulfilled since the program is officially over now. If it's any consolation, I clicked mine...

    Software Update 2019.5.x

I plugged in my car then got the software update notification so I started the process. Just prior to the update finishing, my car started charging so I went in and stopped it while it was still showing as updating, then a moment later I received the update notification. I usually am not plugged...

    SCE Rate Plans changing 3/1/19?

I'm hopeful that, by the time they force all solar generators over to the new 4-9 (or whatever equivalent evil version of that plan) Tesla will have been able to support making the PowerWall more available than it has been, and hopefully a bit more affordable too, considering the install costs...

    Tesla Referral Program

I have two Arachnids won as prizes #3 and #4. I claimed prize #3 back in June 2018 around when I got my current Model S then received prize #4 for self referring. I'm *still* waiting for them to deliver the Arachnids I claimed in June. When I emailed them last month, they didn't provide anything...

Clicks coming from left and right side of dash

I hear something similar in my 3, only when the AC is running. I recorded the video and had my local service center check it out. They tightened a bunch of bolts in that area but it didn't fix the issue. I'm curious if this is the same thing.

Are you able to get your hands on the site ID and API key via the SolarEdge web interface in order to connect to PVOutput?

    Tesla App and SolarEdge Inverter

Did you have to take a certain approach or ask in a specific way?
  26. rfmurphy81

    Panel physics

Nope. They are using a device called PowerBlaster which has CTs around the mains which communicates with the SolarCity gateway. I'm unsure whether the inverter communicates with the PowerBlaster or the gateway directly. My install was 1/29/19.
  27. rfmurphy81

    Panel physics

To follow up on my earlier post, I ended up having someone from Tesla come out and fix the CTs. The installers had put it on only one half of the mains after it was broken out into two phases by the mater (meaning it was only measuring Phase A rather than also Phase B). They moved the CTs to...

Frequent TeslaFi email messages "You may need to restart the vehicles computer..."

I notice this happens with my 2018 Model S but never did with my early 2016 Model S. It seems to be related to the Tesla API showing your car as offline. The times I've looked at TeslaFi during this "offline" status and once I come back, the range has always stayed the same so I'd say this is...

    Panel physics

I just had my system activated, too. PTO was yesterday. Today was the first full day of generation and, even though no one was home, I noticed consumption power was jumping around in the Tesla app for the few times I checked, somewhat in relation to the generation power even though no one was...

    Tesla App and SolarEdge Inverter

Has anyone gotten Tesla Energy to provide the info required to access the SolarEdge monitoring site/app yourself? Going onto the site, it shows "Contact your installer to set up your account" but only seems to be set up for installers rather than owners. Other reports I've read from others make...

Tesla Panels - Downloading Generation Data, How?

Even though I can't view the data (because it's properly protected), thanks for sharing that it is at least possible to download the data. I guess I need to figure out whether I will have access to the MySolarCity.com site since almost everything SolarCity-branded in this process seems to be...

    Quote from Tesla

Wow, super helpful info! It sounds like I may be SOL for trying to get a lower price per watt considering I've already signed the Energy Products Order Agreement based on the quote (but not the Final Purchase Agreement yet). I'm still waiting for some last minute questions to get answered so I'm...

Tesla Panels - Downloading Generation Data, How?

For those of you who are connected into the Tesla ecosystem with their panels, how do you get your hands on the hourly generation data? From my research, it sounds like they primarily use two types of inverters (Delta Solivia and SolarEdge, maybe more) though I'm having trouble figuring out the...

    Quote from Tesla

I'm currently waiting for them to update the proposal a bit plus have a few remaining questions before I sign a contract. How did you get them to go down to $3.27/w? For me, they wouldn't put the specific equipment in the contract (which makes me uncomfortable) and verbally said they were using...

Tesla Referral HPWC Matte Black Elon Signed 24’ foot cord

Back this summer, I put my referral wall charger in place of the 14-50 plug I had installed three years ago. Why can't a swap be done? It's pretty easy. I did it myself with no issues.

Charging suggestions where home charging not an option

@KimW, I'm not sure whether your state has laws to prevent HOAs from denying you reasonable access to setting up EV charging like we have in California, but I'd recommend checking out EV Charging for Condos: Get Your HOA to Say “Yes” | ChargePoint and their eBook. There may be some helpful tips...

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

I'd be totally okay with $3.04/w from Tesla in Southern California, but not sure if anyone else has recently gotten that low of a quote from them in the last few months. I'd really like to point to those people and ask how they got a better price than me.
  41. rfmurphy81

    Quote from Tesla

That's roughly $3.89/w. My initial quote was $4.04/w in Southern California. I sent them a $3.49/w quote from a local company earlier in the year and they lowered it to $3.53/w using their "Best Value Guarantee" but then I later got lower quotes in the $2.80/w range but they wouldn't budge on...

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

That's great news! I'm wondering if I shot myself in the foot by giving them an higher quote (which was at $3.49) prior to me getting the quotes from EnergySage in the $2.78-$2.90 range. When I asked my advisor about it, she said it wouldn't have mattered as the revised price was the BVG. Has...

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

Did you recall the difference in price between the two? Assuming they're setting me up with the 325W panels, what do you think of the price per watt I've been quoted?
  44. rfmurphy81

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

My annual usage is 7000 kWh so they spec'd out a 4.5 kW system at $4.04/w. This didn't include any EV charging so I asked for the second quote to be upped to account for some more charging so the second quote is almost 10,000 kWh for a 6.175 kW system at $3.53/w. Neither quote specifies the...
  45. rfmurphy81

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

Yeah, $2.60 seems really low, especially for a Tesla product. I saw it via the following post on another thread in the forum: Maybe the price is different because they are in Florida? That's something I'm going to ask them about when we connect next. The advisor hadn't given me specifications...
  46. rfmurphy81

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

Thanks for the response. Any thoughts on how people are getting varying prices per watt from Tesla? Looking at these forums, other forums and social media, it seems like it's all over the place. I'm just wondering how someone could get as low as $2.60/watt but others are in the $4 range. I must...

Is $3.53/w Reasonable for Tesla Panels?

A few weeks back, I got a cold call from a Tesla Energy advisor that started as a check-in to see how things were with my Tesla products which turned into a discussion of getting panels via Tesla Energy. I decided to hear them out as I was open to getting solar if the price was right. They...
