    Door handle woes

Our driver door on our 2017 S75D - the handle was stuck IN, but the door would still work if we pushed the handle. Had remote service come out today, and now the handle is stuck OUT. We already paid $372....gonna be very unhappy if we have to pay again.

    Newbie sentry/dashcam questions

Thanks friends. New owner here, Model S made 11/17. The dashcam icon is there but the little light is not red. Anyone know what that means? Also do I have to free up space on the USB drive (256GB) I used from time to time, or does it just write over old files? Thanks

    New owner

New owner here. Got a 2017 S 75D. Production in 11/17 (so it's uncorked, right?) I went 0-60 anyway and it was about 4 seconds. Still learning about the car, but figuring it out. The biggest question I have right now if how/where to wash the car. I've heard so much conflicting information. Is...

All glass. NOT the one that opens.

    WTB - Model S w/ glass roof

Hey! Let's save ourselves some money by not going through a dealer. I just want a Model S that has the full glass panoramic roof. Probably a 2017 or 2018 75 or 75D. Thanks -Eric

    2021 EV Tax Credit

The Build Back Better bill - if it passes, when does the 200,000 removal go into effect? I haven't heard - and looking at reports of the bill, it looks like a lot of things go into effect in 2027???

    2016.5 questions

    Is this AP2 or MCU2?
  10. coalesce99

    2016.5 questions

Am I correct that the 2016.5 Model S had the full glass roof as an option? I don't think I've ever seen a used one for sale with that option. 2017 I know it was, and 2018. Is sentry model available on the 2016.5 Model S? Thanks

    Raise/lower suspension

I'm curious, what's the equivalent height on the coil suspension? Is it at about where "Standard" is on the SaS? Or maybe High or Very High?

SR Model Y Available Off-Menu per Elon

So, as of 9/12/21, is the RWD/SR Model Y available off-menu in the US or not?

    Sentry mode - model years?

I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer for this - when did Sentry mode become standard on the Model S? Is it possible to get older models to do it (maybe with infotainment upgrade)?

What subforum for following the 2Q2021 US infrastructure tax incentive policy debate?

As I've only driven the Model S with the full glass roof...what do my taller friends here think of the sunroof with the beam in the middle? I'll be honest, I'm 6' 4" and can't imagine I'll like it. I can guarantee I'll rarely open it up. Also should I wait to get me a used Model S or jump on...

Headroom in the various roof options

Yeah, I'd love to see what I could get for my 2001 Buick LeSabre right now. But it's paid for...engine only has 101k miles on it.

Headroom in the various roof options

6' 4" here. The only Model S I've driven was one we rented for a couple of days, and it had the full glass roof. That's really the one I'd like to get, but I may have been priced out over the last couple of months as I've noticed 75Ds going for thousands of dollars extra. But regardless of...

What subforum for following the 2Q2021 US infrastructure tax incentive policy debate?

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I'm looking to get a used Model S, and I'm wondering if I should hold off a bit. FWIW - I live in Missouri, and there are NO state incentives for electric vehicles. There ARE extra taxes on them, though. This state is so stupid.

    Corrective steering ruining everything

Yeah, and for better or for worse, the LeSabre just keeps on running. Yeah, retrofitting (cost effectively) would be awesome!

    Corrective steering ruining everything

Why, I'm driving a 2001 Buick LeSabre that's three colors. It was my grandfather's, and I got it when he passed away a few years ago. It's three colors because a lady made a left out of Walmart and T-boned me. Car was totaled, but we put it back together. My wife drives a plug-in Ford C-Max...

Greetings. Yeah, my first post is about uncorking. Sorry!

So I just got some great news. I took a big gamble on my inheritance, and it looks like it's going to pay off handsomely. I want to get a dual motor model S. Probably 75D. I'm in Kansas City, we get snow, so I think it's the right move. Is there a certain manufacture date after which all 75Ds...

Is this the best place to get a used Model S? What about sites like Carvana and cars.com?
  22. coalesce99

    Raise/lower suspension

Is there any rhyme/reason as to which used Model Ss have the smart air suspension? What I mean by that is, did like, every dual-motor model have it? Or was it just an option that anyone could have gotten whether it was a 75, a 75d, 85d, whatever? I ask because I've noticed on most used car...
  23. coalesce99

    Raise/lower suspension

Hey everybody. I was just wondering, do all Model Ss have the ability to raise and lower their suspension? Or is it only on the "smart" suspension cars? I can see this being a feature I would use, and I'd be fine without the "smart" suspension, so long as I could just raise and lower it...

    Corrective steering ruining everything

I hear you, man. We rented a Model X recently and I hated the car trying to drive for me.

Eh, why only climb 3/4 of the way up the mountain? I'll go with a 75D that gets 4.2 on the 0-60.

Greetings. Yeah, my first post is about uncorking. Sorry!

Yeah, I really don't want to go above the $40k -$50k range. As much as I'd like a Plaid model, It just wouldn't be responsible. Responsibility, am I right friends? LOL Really, I've just loved driving all the Teslas I've driven, have always been a huge proponent of electric vehicles, and want no...

Greetings. Yeah, my first post is about uncorking. Sorry!

Oh cool! When did they stop making the full glass roof, though? Did they ever? I thought they only made it from 2016-2018, but it looks like they're making them again. And when I click "glass roof" on the official used Tesla site it only brings up 2017s. Maybe I should be looking elsewhere...

Greetings. Yeah, my first post is about uncorking. Sorry!

Hello friends! After renting a P100D L+ Model X and taking it to the Grand Canyon, I've driven the entire S3XY line. Rented the X and an S, and test drove a 3 and a Y. I've decided I want an S. I've always been a big proponent of electric vehicles, but am of modest means. So I want to get a...
