    Bring back EAP (to USA)

I've had EAP on two of the Model 3s I've owned and that's the main thing I've used it for. Things like Summon are cool party tricks, but rarely work for me and/or just have no practical use for me on a regular basis. NoA is a bit too unreliable for me to use consistently. That said, I had FSD...

    Elon Musk

Just posting this -- brings up some interesting points: The CEO’s mythmaking often obscures an uglier truth. The public is finally reckoning with it. On a beautiful day in May 2015, I drove the 13 hours from my home in Portland, Oregon, to Harris Ranch, California, halfway between San...

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Bruceville Rd (under construction May 2022)

Not too far from the other one in Elk Grove off the 99, but I’ll never complain. Love it!

5 miles per hour on 120V 15amp outlet?

Sounds about right. I had a 20A and would get 5-6 MPH.

Beautiful car. I bet this would kill on Cars and Bids.

    F-150 Ford Lightning

Looks like an amazing truck. I reserved one minutes into the presentation and was in Phase Two of the order process. All the Pro models were sold out, so ended up booking an XLT and it's set to be delivered at the end of this month but I'm no longer in a position to take delivery. Wish I could...

2018 Model 3 LR AWD with FSD, 17,000 miles

Driveo. Just got another quote of $44.6k yesterday. 🤷🏽‍♂️

2018 Model 3 LR AWD with FSD, 17,000 miles

For comparison, I have a 2018 LR RWD w/EAP and 35,000 miles and have been quoted up to $43.6k online.

    Model Y vs Solterra

I would add charging peak, speed and curve to this, too, and the Toyota and both the new Toyota and Subaru really suffer in these categories.

Blue paint, white seats and red calipers. The absolute perfect combo in my opinion!

Is this the one that’s available overseas? Mind if I ask how much you paid for it?

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

Had FSD on a Model Yand was in the beta for months. I eventually stopped using it due to it phantom braking too often, stopping in the middle of intersections far too often, and overall making me really miss driving myself. I’ve since sold it and got an old Model 3 w/EAP and that to me is the...

Experiences so far in trying to sell a Tesla Model 3 LR RWD

Good call. Just tried them for fun and they offer me $4k more than Vroom and Carvana did!

Tesla Model Y Standard Range AWD to be priced at $59,990 USD

Same. Sacramento-based here and I’m at $0.11 as well. Didn’t realize how much variance there was between here and LA until this thread. Gas prices are actually higher here than what my friends are griping about in the Pasadena area.

    Another price increase tonight [04/06/2022]

My current Model 3 and the one I have reserved continue to appreciate nicely.

Awesome. So. Lake Tahoe is our favorite place to vacation but I hate Supercharging at The Hard Rock.

2018 M3 Long Range EAP Changed to FSD Capability

I have the same configuration as you (2018 LR RWD) and mine still shows EAP, so if they made a change to the naming convention it hasn’t reached me yet.

    Insurance Cost

Right now I pay $79/month with Wawanesa, but that’s paired with my wife’s insurance on her Pacifica. I checked it against Tesla insurance and a comparable plan came out to $97/month.

    Tesla charger or 3rd party?

Wondering about this, too. I just bought a home and put in a 14-50 and bought the Tesla adapter to use with the cable that came with the car but am curious as to whether or not there’s a better, reasonable alternative.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Electrek reported that adding FSD to your order can significantly move your delivery date up: Most recently, those same EVs are seeing another interesting change to their reservation configurator – Tesla is prioritizing delivery times for Model Y and Model 3 if their respective customers spring...

    Resale values plummeted

Same. Three weeks ago, I was looking at $63k offers. Now I’m around $58-59k for my 2020 MY LR w/FSD.

    Phantom Braking

FSD is great for me on highways and rarely needs any sort of intervention unless I'm using NoA. Beta on streets though is relatively unusable to me. Too much phantom braking and just random stuff. The other day it just stopped in an intersection as it tried to run through a yellow light. No one...

    F-150 Ford Lightning

Wondering if there was a way around this, like changing account information ahead of delivery like with Teslas. I just got into Wave Two and I’m not sure if I’ll end up going through with the purchase or try and sell for a profit. :/

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Placed my reservation literally minutes after the start of the presentation and got my invite yesterday just before noon. Right after, I got a call from my selected dealership asking to read the invite and for me to walk her through the process of ordering. Really excited about the truck but I’m...

    Anyone else not getting 10.9?

Same frustration here. Been a beta tester for a while now, but I almost always have to wait longer than everyone else for updates. Sucks seeing everyone else testing it out and saying how great it is while I just sit and check the app hourly.

Tesla's amateurish service lives up to its bad reputation

Was thinking the same thing and how mine look worse than the second and third ones. :/

    44.30.5 Standard Morning Run Experience

Just downloaded this morning but honestly, even though I've had Beta since early in the trial, the phantom braking, random lane changes, flashing of brights and rapid windshield wiping for no reason keeps me from rarely using it. Pretty sure I haven't used it on city streets at all for a month...

How badly do you want/need it? Can you afford to wait for a new one without issues? If so, I’d wait.

The Model 3 to Model Y Swap: An Attempt at a Cost Analysis

Made this seamen change last year. 2018 LR AWD Model 3 w/EAP to a 2020 Model Y LR AWD w/FSD and 8,000 miles. I had to put $2,000 down and am paying around $250 more per month, but the benefits are outstanding. Plus I get to be a beta tester, which I never use. :)

    MY LR upgrade to MYP

In theory, from the videos I’ve seen, the credit would be retroactive to January 1st of this year, but everyone’s just speculating at this point.

No test drives available for 100 miles?

Instead of driving 100 miles for a test drive, I’d seriously consider renting one on TURO for a day instead. :/

Will $250 order fee transfer if I cancel an order and place a new order?

Wondering the same. Placed an order yesterday but I’m sure I’ll second-guess it in the next few days. I believe you can work with an SA to get this transferred but am eager to hear from someone that has experience with this.

My 2022 Y is charging at the rate of 7 miles per hour. See screen shot.

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

For all those that were asking about checking for LFP batteries: According to a revised Model 3 owner's manual for the U.S., drivers can see if their cars have LFP battery cells by opening the charging menu on the touchscreen and selecting "Set Limit," or opening the charging section of the...

Nobody mentions that the acceleration boost is too much power for the stock suspension of the non-performance model

Interesting. I've been going back-and-forth on whether or not to get this but have been waiting for a good 48-hour period to give it a test run. Are you planning on keeping it or is the suspension enough to make you return it after the trial?

    2018 Model 3 Performance - No Autopilot?

Question — do cars without autopilot still have that ”Autopilot” item on the menu? I’m looking at a 2018 Model 3 Performance and it has that menu item, but the dealer isn’t showing anything below the VIN on the Software screen:

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Both times I’ve had service come to my house (once to rotate the tires, the other to fix the taillight that had gathered up condensation), they just texted me to alert me that they had arrived and started working on the car. That was during the pandemic though, so maybe they’ve updated the way...

    Lost FSD

Getting beta and holding on to my 99 was such a PITA and now I'm worried about losing it due to some false positives as well. Sorry this happened to you and man, this whole thing has been surprisingly frustrating. The technology is so promising, but there's a lot that needs to be done by Tesla...
