    CCS Adapter for North America

I found out you are talking about model Y by checking your post history, haha, no worries!

    CCS Adapter for North America

That’s 350kw dispenser, not 150. Both EA and EVgo app will tell you which one is which, so you don’t have to investigate. Also I checked the dispenser in avs007’s post (his car is model y, it would be helpful if he mentioned it), it looks like a abb dispenser, with a 375a current limit. The btc...

    CCS Adapter for North America

These chargers are maxed at 350A. If you are 3/Y, the max you can get is around 380x350=133kw if you are new S/X, you can get about 150kw

Frustrations planning Sequoia & Kings Canyon trip

How? Cedar grove lodge to crystal cave to traver supercharger is 139 miles, without crystal cave it’s 89.

    Same with EVgo station.

Frustrations planning Sequoia & Kings Canyon trip

Tesla CCS adapter can be handy in this trip. There is a 350kwh EA charger at Tulare

    CCS Adapter for North America

You can see the location of the charger in the screenshot I posted. In plugshare, one of the stall listed as free in station details, but when click show pricing, it shows not free. Seems all over the place.

    FSD Beta 10.12

When will they allow mic permission?
  9. G

    CCS Adapter for North America

Yeah it is a weird one. The label on the plug also says 50kW, even the CCS one. Anyway, I don’t see anyone gets 100kW, not to mention 200. EVgo’s information seems all over the place. Also the app says it’s paid but on their website says it’s free.
  10. G

    CCS Adapter for North America

Tested at an Evgo station. Works pretty well and it’s free (only one as far as I know). Car did not precondition, so started a bit slow at 72kW @46%, peaked at 75kW while app reported 79kW. The information of the station is very confusing. In all the apps it says CCS 200kW. At the station, each...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Before ordering mine, I wondered if I need to pay for custom clearance. I didn’t see anyone mentioned it in the thread. I got mine with no additional cost, so I guess it depends on luck?

    CCS Adapter for North America

Got mine today. Ordered 05/20 from Tesla Korea. Delivered Korean received it on 05/26. Shipped to my doorstep this morning via their cheapest option. 18 days in total. While it’s a bit slow, I only paid 265 for it. Seems like a good deal.

    FSD Beta 10.12

I’m convinced the “ autopilot team” just sit in front of the computer watching videos and codes and never touch the car. Same with their UI team

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I have to say this happens quite often in this version. It did it again this morning. And this time at a protected left from a left only turn lane. I took over at the end and veered it back. It happens randomly at any intersection so it has to be something it saw at the time. It is very bad. I...

    FSD Beta 10.12

I let it go a bit since no running cars were at that cross road, but I also didn’t expect/ couldn’t believe it tries to go back “straight” at that point, it never does that before. I was caught off guard for sure. I took over when I realized it really wanted to go “straight” instead of figuring...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Yeah, you can see this in some famous YouTubers’ videos. I also reported it in the 10.12 thread. Here is my video clip In my opinion this is super bad behavior, worst it has done for a long time. When my car goes that deep into the cross road, it is simply shouldn’t be allowed to swerve back...

    FSD Beta 10.12

10.12.x gives up turns when it’s already in the cross road. We saw this in some YouTuber’s videos. It’s way worse than stopping in the middle of the turn if that’s what they try to solve.

    FSD Beta 10.12

Did my usual drop-off-daughter-and-back 2-mile drive this morning. 1)Still tried to clip the curb at the same left turn lane, despite me reporting it 1000 times since 10.8, I’m just reusing the 10.11 video to explain, that was one time I let it go: 2) tried to run curb at another left turn...

    FSD Beta 10.12

Oh they don’t want you to see that, big no no. If you keep trying, they will shut down visualization entirely for the whole fleet. /s

    CCS Adapter for North America

I just used up my 2k miles free supercharging. Seeing the recent rate increase, I decided to buy the adapter from Korean. With so many super chargers around, it is not a necessity here in California except for the electricity price difference, so I chose the cheapest route ;). I placed an order...

    FSD Beta 10.12

The FSD system may very well degenerate overtime, just like your windows pc and has to be fixed by a reboot. Small memory leak or lack of optimization here and there will slow down the perception which gives you larger lag and as a result, worse performance.
  22. G

    FSD Beta 10.11

You don’t have to be extra vigilant. This is not a new behavior. As I mentioned, it was already like this on 10.10.2. 10.8.1 is slightly better. I believe in 10.8.1 the car “swerves” into the turn lane, and 10.10.2 smoothed it out, but it makes the behavior at this intersection worse. The...

    FSD Beta 10.11

Lol, now I’m convinced it’s not getting better at this curb. I was simply too scared to let it go in 10.10.2. The false confidence from the first attempt on 10.11.2 almost cost my wheel at the second attempt.

    FSD Beta 10.11

Just got 10.11.2 yesterday and it can finally do a zero disengagement drive on my puny 1.1 miles commute again, without aiming for the curb like every time it does in 10.10.2. Still too close though. Also this is the first version I felt overall improvement than previous one in its first drive...

    FSD Beta 10.11

Probably due to 10.10.2 is too shitty in comparison. No point for further test. Mercy. From an optimistic 10.10.2 who just got the update :)

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

10.2 is beef jerky. Remember how it jerks the wheel nonstop while stopped in front of the interaction.

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Yes. In fact, now I remember, 10 days ago I was driving through Big Sur on CA highway 1, there were several road works and traffics were redirected to the oncoming lane by cones and makeshift traffic light. FSD did fine moving to the oncoming lane (albeit moved over at the last second) but it...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

A dangerous behavior discovered on 10.10.2, be careful. This morning on a curvy, hilly and narrow 2 lane residential road on the garbage pick up day, my model Y tried to go around the garbage truck, however once it passed the garbage truck, it did not go back to its lane and it played chicken...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Car did an awesome road trip yesterday to the Del Valle lake in Livermore, CA. Only screwed up in one intersection and disengaged, rest of the trip was almost intervention (yes, like Elon said) free, for 130 miles. Then I realized this:

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I had a round trip from Bay Area to Big Sur last weekend. 10.10.2 redeemed itself from my terrible early impression. My return trip only had one disengagement due to turning into a right turn lane one block too early. It would probably fix itself and go straight. Compare with my multiple 10.8.1...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I have a pitiful one mile commute (home to daughter’s school), now with 10.10.2 I will have a guaranteed disengagement before a left turn. When turning into the turn lane, the rear left wheel was always very close to the curb in 10.8.1, but it still has about 6 inches room, I let it go...

    FSD Beta 10.10 Release Notes

With 10.8.1, I just did a 130 miles trip last Saturday, and the car averages 235wh/mi (model Y). Can’t imagine it can get even better.

Looks like now we have video evidence of car rolling backwards by itself. it looks like the same experience with mine. The car rolls backwards uphill a little bit while stays in drive. Glad I wasn’t hallucinating. Someone in the comment mentioned he had a video of car roll backward a few times...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Ha, related! I drove through San Francisco, cross GGB and back today. Two disengagements in total. First was at Alexander Ave & Bunker Rd intersection, northbound. Car took left turn lane and I thought we should go straight. Disengaged, and at the last second I realized car was right, made a...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Had a very smooth, zero intervention drive this morning with 10.6.1 and it reflected in consumption, 248wh/mi. Closest one with manual drive. Also I like the quick accelerations right after each turn, it leaves other drivers in the dust so they won’t come close to stare at me or comment my...

FSD Beta Attempts to Kill Me; Causes Accident

Jon That’s right. He is one of the most experienced and helpful tester, what he did in that scene was emotional but understandable. However during the warning I think car was under his control, it was not a situation that “AP is taken over control and can’t be overridden”. It was just that...

FSD Beta Attempts to Kill Me; Causes Accident

I agree with what you said. If I was 100% focus and encounter the case in the video, I would be applying the nag prevention torque to the 4 o’clock position and the evasive move from the FSD would likely disengage itself. This require myself to constantly change the torque applying position to...

FSD Beta Attempts to Kill Me; Causes Accident

Ok, so from op’s point of view, this post is an excellent move. He needs Tesla’s attention, now it seems he got it, and he might be signing some NDA with them now.

FSD Beta Attempts to Kill Me; Causes Accident

How long did you use the AP? When I was new to AP, I overcorrected once when someone invaded my lane and AP did not react, it was scary.
  50. G

FSD Beta Attempts to Kill Me; Causes Accident

Looks like FSD overreacted to the mailbox, and the driver overcorrected. This is a situation warranted a phantom braking, rather than use the other side of the yellow line, even the mailbox was misidentified as a person. The planner clearly is not matured enough to handle such logic.
