Fix for rear seat belt buckles rattling against the side of the car

I just pull my seat belts around and over the back of the head rest. Rattle solved.

    range anxiety

It takes a while to get over range anxiety. First thing to do is switch from miles to percentage! Then treat the percentage like a “gas” gauge. When you get low on “fuel” plug it in. Don’t over think it. Don’t worry about leaving it unplugged for a few days!

Any mud flaps effectiveness or efficiency tests?

The very first thing I did was put PPF on the rear doors! And when I got home I put the mud flaps from Tesla on. I was unable to determine about efficiency -- but I didn't care. If I could protect the paint I didn't care if I lost a few miles range! 11k miles and 15 months later -- no paint...

    Bad AC Smell

And one more thing to note. The clips that hold the cover between the frunk and windshield Has to be secured on the frunk side first. There is really no support under the clip holders. Otherwise it will be impossible for the bottom four clips to clip in properly. So push slightly above where...

Yes — diminished sales at the Super Charger Stations! And the way things are going—it’ll be cheaper to charge elsewhere!

    Bad AC Smell

No real smell that I could detect. Some say that if you wet it down a little, it will exhibit an odor. But I don't think I want to go that far. 😏

    PPF - Rear Fenders

I'm going on 15 months of ownership now -- besides putting on front mud flaps and PPF on the back doors -- it has shown no visible signs of damage. Full paint protection --- ??? I've got to use my car -- not baby it. YMMV

    Bad AC Smell

I am going to have to retract part of my statement. I changed out my filters and used the evaporator cleaner today. The frame of the original factory filter had sort of a "felt / spongy" (for lack of a better description) edge around the perimeter of the accordion filter material. It did...

    Bad AC Smell

The cardboard frame soaks up the drippings from the evaporator and is located too close to it. I think a plastic frame on the air filter would solve the problem.

    Evaporator coil question

So it looks like maybe there is another heating coil behind the evaporative cooling coil. This is one of the questions I’m asking before I actually use a cleaner on the evaporator coil while changing the air filters.

Tesla wants to replace my battery because jack points are damaged

I would imagine that would be needing a battery replacement. Maybe they want to do it out out of an over abundance of caution. But it sure looks like somebody tied the car down to a transport truck via those jacking holes.

    Evaporator coil question

If the evaporator coil is used for cooling, I can see where the condensation could cause your air filters to get wet, in other words stink. But is the evaporator coil also used as a heater coil? If not where does the heat come from ? Is the coolant reversed and he pushed back through the same...

    CCS Adapter - ?

It looks to me that the break even point is 40kWh with EA. In my state they charge by the minute, so I can't exactly figure that on out - being you may have to charge when your battery may be at a higher level. We must also figure in the cost of the adapter. Even if the average cost in my...

Do supercharger users not care about price?

I for one am getting disenchanted with the rising prices of SC charging. Never thought I'd see Tesla raise the cost of their network as high or higher than their competitors, Seriously considering switching to the other providers now. Guess it's about time to get the CCS adapter.

    CCS Adapter - ?

With the prices of Tesla Supercharging nearing the price of the other networks, now might be the time to purchase the CCS adapter. Is leaving Tesla plugged in while not charging really beneficial?

I think this subject is just 'over thinking.' I plug it in when the nag pops up on the center screen, then charge to 80%. No sense to wear out the charging contacts. Occasionally I'll drain the battery to 3~4% and then charge up to 100% (of course I drive at least 10% of this OFF as soon as...

I think the EV charge stations (including Tesla) are just gouging the customers. - You must have charged during OFF hours at SLC - prices were $.42 during peak hours. My Model Y smells, does it happen to yours?

After getting an estimate of $129 from Tesla today, They told me that I've had the car more that six months and it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I told them to cancel my appointment and that I might as well learn to do it myself, because this seems to be a re-occurring problem with the...

Well, I guess I can join the stink club too! One thing I have noticed is that if I roll the windows down a little bit while I’m driving I get a lot of stink also coming in from outside. I tried to run the fan on number six with the heat on very low for about three hours. But that didn’t seem to...
