I like the clean install of the X hitch. The removable hitch with the key is well engineered as well and is neater than a bolt that’s used on aftermarket hitches.

How far are they off? I needed to offer the X bar up carefully to the studs on the car abs slide the hitch over the studs on both sides at the same time.

Sold my 2020 LR Raven and picked up a 2022 LR refresh a couple of weeks ago. Multiple enhancements plus the software focus on the new cars with newer hardware coupled with currently strong used prices made the switch a no brainer.

I’d love to see a video of removing the rear bumper on the refresh S. Not sure how different it is to the previous model. If I can see a video first I’ll probably do the install myself.

Sounds like we had almost identical cars (2020 MS LRs with FSD having paid $7k) and taking delivery of refresh LR MS’s. For my part while I liked auto lane change etc and had the FSD beta with the cost rising to $12k there are other things I’d spend that I’d spend that money on. On your new car...

Just collected from State Line, Kansas City, MO. Perfect build, no faults I could see. Missing the parcel shelf and lower covers like most other deliveries but they should be posted to me arriving next week.

I think it does have a demo receiver if you look at the options. This is the same version I had for my 2020 S except this one fits the 21/22 cars.

Not looking forward to that. I had FSD beta on a car I’ve just sold which used Tesla vision. Far more instances of phantom breaking and unexpected behavior on routes where radar was solid.

Looks like the car has arrived. Got a call confirming my delivery appointment tomorrow. Being a 470 VIN it will have the older style lights etc but I’m not bothered. Prefer the older rear end and just glad to get the car after 8 months waiting.

I’m with you. My car is probably on the same transport as I collect from KC this Saturday. Prefer the existing rear lights but would love the new matrix headlights. Wonder if they’re possible to retrofit? My guess is not due to wiring and software.

It’s the factory hitch from a 2022 Model X. Don’t know if it fits yet but it can be ordered as an unrestricted part from Tesla. No idea of the price or availability. You’d have to call. I’ll report back on whether it fits or not. Picking up my S later this month.

A quick update. I’ve managed to buy a factory hitch removed from a 2022 MX which I’ll try fitting to my 2022 MS after I take delivery later this month. It’s a bit of a gamble, however I’m hopeful given the sticker on it appears to give a tongue weight for the Model S.

Well this is interesting. A hitch removed from a 2022 MX refresh has a sticker on it that appears to reference the tongue weight for MS as well as MX. I wonder if the mounts used for the hitch on the MX and MS are now the same? They were different on pre-2021 vehicles. Interestingly ACPS own the...

I have a set of 4 Rennstands for tire rotation. I jack the car with two identical jacks which is probably overkill but works well. Very happy with the setup overall.
