    Verizon Supercharger

    Happened to stop at the Vierzon (France) supercharger yesterday (It's got a couple of handy restaurants) - seems Tesla went large and has 36+ stations installed there now. Not quite the largest in Europe but an impressive sight.

    Charging issues after 4 weeks parked

    I have left my 2020 S parked for 4 weeks (dropped from 80% to 60%) and tried to charge it yesterday. Oddly the charger (3 phase type 2) gave me a No ground error and the car refused to charge. So I tested the charger on my other car - ran without a problem. Tried a mains charger and no joy...

    Model s Half shafts

    Just in case anyone is keeping score My September 2020 Model S Long Range was developing a small shudder at 9k miles. Took it in and Tesla eventually admitted that the half shafts needed replacing which they are doing. Not really great after 12 months and pretty low mileage.

    Cutting vampire drain

    After some experimentation I managed to cut my drain (2020 LR) from 2.2KwH to 0.7 KwH per day (measured at the power meter). Seems the biggest contributor to the consumption was leaving it plugged in - unplugging the charge lead meant the car went to sleep without charging intermittently...

    3 phase charger but Tesla only uses 2 phases

    I have a 3 phase charger at home that go up to 22kw. I had not bothered logging into the charger to see what it was doing until recently when my Model S started flaking out on the charging (charges for 2 seconds, turns off, charges for 2 sec, turns off etc). Logging in on the Tesla app it claims...
