    Possible Location - Minden Ontario

There are 4 Ivy 7.2 KW J1772 in the parking lot at the Municipal office, downtown. Okay if you are doing some shopping (or if the Rockcliffe Inn Pub re-opens). Have you heard of other plans for an HVDC?

Anything to be aware of when selling a Tesla?

Thanks for the comment I still follow TMC. I'm a Starlink beta tester (and I love it) My son, the new owner of my old S85D, lives in Ottawa, and he's now on this forum, and is a member of the Tesla Owners club of Ontario. There will be a chapter in Ottawa, as soon as Covid is done...and I might...

Anything to be aware of when selling a Tesla?

Well.......... My son "convinced me" to sell him my car, at a very reasonable price....so I didn't go public. He also got my snow tires, HPWC, winter matts, second UMC (long story), extended warranty, and free Supercharging. I wasn't going to sell it for another year, but, I did get him out of...

Anything to be aware of when selling a Tesla?

I just sold mine 3 weeks ago. I transferred the car out of my mytesla account, and named the new owner. The new owner set up an account with mytesla, and 5 minutes later he got an email from Tesla confirming the car was in his account. We tested it 30 minutes later at a Supercharger (I had free...

What is your autopilot speed limit set to when driving on hov lanes ?

My TACC is set at 119. I'm not in as much of a hurry to get places, since I retired. Maybe I'll get a straw hat, and hang out in the passing lane at 90.....;)

Tale the US leased tesla to Canada

Importing a new car vs servicing a non-domestic car are different issues. Importing a new vehicle means that Tesla would have to make changes to the car to meet Canadian standards. There are about 3-4 items that need to be done. Daytime running lights being the biggest. This happens whenever...

Tale the US leased tesla to Canada

Incorrect. The Tesla warranty is North America-wide, regardless of place of purchase. I had some warranty work done on my Canadian Tesla, while en route to South Carolina. I called them (Cranberry PA Service Centre), they took me in, fixed it, and was on my way.

    SpaceX Internet Satellite Network: Starlink

@bxr140 ...remember our conversation in November RE Starlink vs Telesat? Well it looks like we may be able to continue our speculation. It appears Telesat is at the trough, looking to take on Starlink at half of the cost. *cough, cough* This will be an interesting 2 years watching it unfold...

    SpaceX Internet Satellite Network: Starlink

No. Snow and rain have not affected my service. We had one day of fairly heavy wet snow in February - no issue at all. We haven't had a thunderstorm yet - That always affected my old satellite internet

    SpaceX Internet Satellite Network: Starlink

I'm in month 2 of my beta trial at 43.5 N latitude. Download speeds of 20-150 mbps, with average around 70...so speed has been good. Every hour or 2 the system drops - sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a couple of minutes. This could be a hole in the satellite coverage, or a possible...

Anyone taken an HPC bought in the US and installed it in Vancouver?

The HPC should have a small "c" beside the UL label....meaning that it meets Canadian standards. AFAIK, all Tesla equipment is dual rated for Canada and USA. My HPWC gen 1 is cUL. After NAFTA, Canada and the USA agreed to allow multiple testing agencies to test to both CSA and UL standards. So...

Drove and then leased an Audi e-Tron

Exactly the same with me - and my wife. However, I've had a Model S85D for 6 years. It's been a great car, well built, only a couple of hiccups. My son, who I have been bugging for 6 years to get into an EV, surprised me and offered to buy my car ( at a value below market ). I agreed......so I...

Disappointed with the Refreshed 2021 Model X

I'm not going to dispute anything you wrote, here. All valid. This decision was gut-wrenching. If you see my posts over the past 6 years, I've been, generally, very positive about Tesla, my S, service, and quality. You won't see me running Tesla down - just the opposite. But......Tesla's...

Disappointed with the Refreshed 2021 Model X

I'm also in the "Audi club" now....for the same reasons as your wife. I just ordered a Sportback. Lower range, but faster charging (150KW to 95%). See: Also, free Charging at Electrify America/Canada for 2 years. I really don't like the new X or S interior. Tesla is aiming at the minimalist...

    Supercharger - Orangeville Ontario

Last post, as it's now live. I've been checking the Supercharger's use, and there are usually 2-3 people charging at any given time. I suspect weekends will be busier. I guess this makes it a good place to have placed it. Thanks Tesla. PS: drove past today and waved at the blue S and white 3.

I went to the on-line "chat" at Tesla service. I gave them my VIN, explained the inability to file a claim. She took my details, and filed it for me. You'll need a copy of the service invoice. She did say she filed it, but it's up to Tesla if they pay it Try that

Wanting To Do A Test Drive

I mentioned Toronto earlier in the thread. It was actually in Niagara Falls (Ontario) for a few days at the end of February. No, it was Chris H. from Tesla. He runs the SC team in Canada. I've met him, and he's spoken at the TOCO meetings. I was using the term that the tech said. I asked if it was Chris, and the tech was shocked that I knew who he was....... On Twitter, another Tesla owner was there just before me...

Master Thread: Definitive 14-50 NEMA Outlet Guide

It's a Siemens 12 circuit pony panel - no main. The feed from the main panel feeds through the 2 pole 50 amp breaker. The 3 pole 60 (perhaps the 2 pole were on back-order) amp breakers feed the Nema 14-50 and HPWC. They have a metal "lock-out" which only allows one of the breakers to be on...

Similar situation as me. Early July replacement under ESA ($270 CDN plus tax). After the "not eligible" notice came up, I got on line with Tesla support. 10 minutes later, I uploaded my invoice, and she submitted it for me. So this is another method to submit the form.

220V adapter for Airbnb - would that be helpful?

Well.....the Audi e-tron, e-tron Sportback, and Volvo XC40 electric all come with a NEMA 14-50 plug, as standard equipment. I just test drove them yesterday, and they all come with the charge kit. However - if the receptacle is a 14-50 (OP hasn't identified it other than it's "220 volt"), They...

    Taiga Electric Snowmobile Launch

Agreed I've had a couple of Twitter battles with guys that absolutely crapped on this sled. They were trailing in the Rocky Mountains of AB/BC. 220V adapter for Airbnb - would that be helpful?

It also depends on the type of outlet, and if your customers have access to the receptacle. One of the most common 240 volt receptacles is a NEMA 14-50 "Stove". It's common in campgrounds, houses etc. It's usually on a 50 amp 2 pole circuit breaker - making it good for 40 or 32 amp charging...
