Wanting to get wheels on new model 3 powder coated, anyone know of a shop in Northern California Central Valley that does this? Issue is having extra wheels, I don’t have any and this is a surprise for my daughter so need to be able to drop car off and have them do everything. Advice welcomed.

everyone has different risk/reward and goals with their account. I disagree with you on the covered call. Some of us have big enough accounts that just doing low risk covered calls allows us to be retired. I'm 47, not complaining. I have ZERO interest in trying to guess direction, none...

Agree on this. I use to be terrified to sell calls on earnings but with the IV crush the next day you have to at least sell some really far OTM options. The chances of those going in the money before market open the next morning when you can adjust if necessary is darn near zero. The nice...

similar to what I do, I don't analyze much I just sell calls at a comfortable distance knowing I can always adjust out and up. Does sitting and waiting for the perfect time to sell calls beat just always being short calls and having that theta burn 24/7 365? I don't know, but I prefer to not...

excluding wanting to avoid earnings weeks or known catalysts, I look at the total theta of my position. When my short calls have dropped down under 1.00 value, I start looking to roll. This is part of why I mostly trade 2-3 weeks out options instead of weeklies, theta decay is more consistent...

I accept that it "could" happen but I sell CC's in a calculated way to make the chances of that happening extremely small. I also know what number in the next 1-2 years I wouldn't have a problem letting them go for, and I know I can adjust out to that number. I look at the premium from the...

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

I see a lot of people afraid of losing their shares when selling CC. I initially felt the same but since I play it on the safer side (15% OTM) and adjust early, not wait until my calls are ATM then hope, I have near zero worry I'll lose shares. I can adjust out and up to the point my shares...

Yes, of course, and this is my plan. My thinking is, as I buy more shares, which then allows me to sell more calls, I can buy more shares faster. My other goal is that I don't end up with less shares than I had when I started selling options. I was too scared to do it for all these years, now...

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

No, there isn't, except you have to keep cash in your account just to roll the calls. I don't keep any cash in my account, I immediately use the premium from the sold calls to buy shares. I would have to hold back 50-100k if I couldn't roll, possibly more. As the stock moves against you the...

are you including the underlying stock gains/losses in this calculation? Selling CC's like I am, and being super bullish long term on TSLA, I couldn't care less what the stock does on a short term basis. I don't consider the stock going down as "losses" since I would be holding the shares...

why worry about buying the calls back? Just roll them out and up. If you roll early enough, you can get $30-$50 farther OTM strike with a one week adjustment for break even or if you want a slight credit. I do the same thing, I buy shares with the premium immediately, I don't worry about the SP.

I know options pretty well, not a newbie. If you sell the same strike put and buy the call, it's basically exactly the same as owning shares (give or take a few pennies). You don't have to worry about the greeks if you're using it as stock replacement.

Looking at this exact thing myself. Buy the ATM call, Sell the ATM put and have the same risk/reward as owning shares. You can of course do this with any strike, it works out the same. You can then buy a far OTM put to limit the amount of $ committed to the position for cheap, and sell calls...

I’ll have to look around some more, I looked on Tesla’s website and also auto trader and that was the price ranges I was seeing based on our build. I think a 2016 is a bad example, that’s most likely an AP1 car (didn’t look) so has less value.
