High power usage when idle / parked

    nope, non at all
  2. yessuz

High power usage when idle / parked

except if it is plugged in (and IO enabled), it does not really sleep properly. it wakes up every now and then (every hour/2 hrs, I do not remember) and goes to sleep again
  3. yessuz

High power usage when idle / parked

wrong answer. it is IO which causes it. do not change any pwd - just switch off IO
  4. yessuz

High power usage when idle / parked

yes, Intelligen Octopus will drain your battery. go in the app, press on your profile icon, scroll to bottom and, select intelligent Octopus, scroll to botton and switch selector to off. this is known bug on IO. all the time, when I am not planning to use home charger I keep that disabled in...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

yes in this case. but before prices used to be stable and L/100 km is kinda standard. and it still makes much more sense than filling tank in litres but use mpg for measure efficiency :D
  9. yessuz

    TeslaMate [megathread]

18L/100KM is super high usage... any reasonable car (meaning not 8l v12...) will consume ~8l of petrol (on avg) on motorway and maybe 10-12 in city. but 18 is just.. a bit too much
  10. yessuz

    Charging for terraced houses

spending would be on par with 45 mpg ICE. nothing extraordinary, really.
  11. yessuz

    Charging for terraced houses

the best and easiest solution, of course, is lamp post charging

Gridserve Charger Sites in UK [megathread]

ah, so near Roche, and not Roach :D I was confused by that :D

    Overstaying at a charger

I have no issues as never had a problem. But fee times, when I did not need a charge, I saw chargers being ICEd which lead me thinking what would be an action to cause attention

Track day in in a P-?

oh, for sure. Micha Charoudin is as far from normal person on Nurburgring is as F1 from a normal car :D

Gridserve Charger Sites in UK [megathread]

    can you please pin-point location?
  17. yessuz

    Overstaying at a charger

it should not. because no marks, no damage, just attention. however, original intention is to use these on ICEd chargers.. :) but at work I have printed and applied some of the "please remember to remove your vehicle as soon as your charge is finished" stickers. because there's couple of...

    Overstaying at a charger

https://packagingproductsonline.co.uk/shop/parking-notice-wallets/ ordered 50 of those. will have some generic "being a dick" message printed and stuffed in those. first they see it - they will *sugar* themselves they will remember this for a long time and more or less no harm done. just a bit...

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

never needed for 22 years. do not need now. but it's very nice and useful addition.
  20. yessuz

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

no. you drive such car, you pass the gap, car indicates that there's a parking space. I am like - wtf - a bit tight, maybe too tight. when it parks - it is not that tight.

Random delay when charging - New 2022 charge point regs now in force

I had the discussion with some energy consultants, like 6 years ago (or so). we talked about the UK future Energy scenarios. one of the idea was, which is very logical, that in the future when we all will drive EVs (as one of the scenarios). then, instead of 2 peaks we have now (one peak is in...

    Tesla UK T0 Tyre Directive

    Tesla UK T0 Tyre Directive

nope. tried to google couple of minutes and gave up
  25. yessuz

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

no. when you are driving large cow like Mondeo (MY 2015-) it's actually hard to feel the limitis. No, when I squeeze in, usually there's plenty of space. and actually, in majority of the cases, when the gap is very narrow - then other motorists park the way it gives them much more space in...
  26. yessuz

    Tesla UK T0 Tyre Directive

better ask yourself which winter tyre has T0 marking. because then no one could drive in Nordics for the half of the year

    Is this normal?

did you try to turn it of and on again?
  28. yessuz

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

this is the pure definition of Phantom breaking.
  29. yessuz

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

you are wrong. parallel perking assistant has squeezed Mondeo or BMW in the spots which, after first glance when I pass by, I would never even try to fit in
  30. yessuz

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

Experience with Ford's (Mondeo 2015) and BMW self parking is only positive

Photos of inappropriate UK Supercharger usage

Therefore my idea with those sticky PCN bags and some general text inside the envelope, saying like "you dickhead, this parking spot is for those who needs charging. If you are not charging you should not be parking here. They would *sugar* themselves only by image odlf the yellow envelope and...

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

every car manufacturer does updates these days. my 2019 bmw 330e used to receive updates every now and then OTA. it also had app to control car... so nothing new. with one of the updates it pushed Android Auto and Apple car play functionality. it (AA/ACP) worked wireless as well...

    12 volt battery insurance/backup plan

older ones, pre 2022, were delivered with old style, wet cell lead batteries. New cars are delivered with li-on batteries.

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

oh and that "AP is disabled for the rest of the drive" is the most stupid thing ever. it forces me to think that 500g/1 lbs weight on steering wheel is not that bad idea.
  41. yessuz

    12 volt battery insurance/backup plan

but again, isn't it better to opt for new li-on 12v battery or just replace existing type to new every year and that's it?! It's quite silly to carry additional weight in frunk for just in case. I mean I am sure you should be able to buy 12 v battery in France? again - did you ever carried spare...
