    Canada - FSD rollout

I’m pretty sure you don’t have radar.
  2. M109Rider

    (2018 M3 vs 2022 M3) efficiency

I believe the EPA test is a measure of range. It doesn’t include or exclude any given component.
  3. M109Rider

    (2018 M3 vs 2022 M3) efficiency

I live in a cold climate, so I’m sure the efficiency will be night and day from my resistance heater. I’m guessing that a new 82kw battery in a car made for the 75kw battery (assuming the bigger battery would even fit), would likely give me a similar state of charge as a newer 2022 M3 AWD. How...

Estimated delivery date 1 - 3 weeks out but no Vin still, is this normal?

I had that happen to me in 2018. VIN assigned, disappeared, then the same VIN showed up again. No problem. Hang tight, it’ll all happen. :)
  5. M109Rider

    (2018 M3 vs 2022 M3) efficiency

If you change the wheels to 18” on the order page, you’ll get your 357 miles. I was just curious at this stage. My car has 112,000 miles 180,000km’s on it now. Still running amazing, and about 9% degradation. I’m happy. I was just curious at this point. No immediate plans or need to get a new...
  6. M109Rider

    (2018 M3 vs 2022 M3) efficiency

Ah. Thanks. The 5% bigger would likely be the biggest factor. Would be interesting to see the actual range increase. :)
  7. M109Rider

    (2018 M3 vs 2022 M3) efficiency

A new 2018 Model 3 AWD got 500km’s (310 miles) of range. (Tesla did have range increase software updates, but I really don’t think many saw those transpire). A new 2022 Model 3 AWD gets 576km’s (357miles) of range. My question is: Where is most of that range increase from? Wondering if a...

    Canada - FSD rollout

2022.16.2 - just dropped. Not likely an FSD Beta version, but there are no release notes yet.
  9. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

It does some pretty cool things for sure. It’s cool to see this progress. I really want to see summon, and auto-park taken to the next level though. That would really be a huge value add to the whole system.
  10. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I really love driving my 2018 Model 3 AWD with this FSD. The whole experience is very cool. It’s not perfect, but very very cool just the same. :)
  11. M109Rider

Ran over something now $17k bill

I suspect the battery replacement cost factors in the core being kept by Tesla. Not certain of that, but it would stand to reason.
  12. M109Rider

New Model Y high pitch whining sound

True. It does for sure. However, if your ground strap is lose, the whine is much louder while preconditioning, and it whines much louder, even when not preconditioning.
  13. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I just had a chance to use it for about 20 minutes. I have to say, I’ve had a different experience for some reason. It’s been quite good for me. The roundabout was much better as well. Still has glitches, but so far so good. I’m wondering if you need to calibrate the cameras, or reboot ?
  14. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

From the limited videos I’ve seen, it looked better on most fronts. Your experience is deflating, because I was hoping for a big step forward. I just got the download now, so I haven’t been able to try it yet. I hope it’s better than the experience you’ve had. If not, I hope an update goes...

New Model Y high pitch whining sound

You can’t have the computer detect and notify for everything. :) For example; Worn wheel bearing make noise, worn suspension can also make noise. Computers don’t usually detect and report on things like that either. It’s likely a loose ground strap. Fairly simple fix. That being said, if you’re...

    Canada - FSD rollout

BTW- there is also a new Tesla App update to download from the Apple store as well.
  17. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I actually thought that glitch wasn’t fixed yet. There was a pause in downloads for a few days, then a spike. So maybe they did fix that on the latest. Who knows.
  18. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

No download for me yet :(
  19. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

10.12.2 started downloading to more owners again. Hopefully we see it soon.
  20. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I don’t believe the lack of radar made any significant changes. Initially there were some, until they built a comfort level.
  21. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

10.12.2 has a bunch of cars downloading now. A good sign.
  22. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

The non internal testers as well as a few YouTubers. But we are next. :)
  23. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

10.12.2 just dropped !!! 10.12.1 has been around for a while, now that 10.12.2 just dropped, it might mean the rest of the beta users, and hopefully more beta users get this one this weekend. ! 🤞
  24. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

2022.16.0.2 just dropped. Not sure if this is an FSD beta, or a new update. ? I suspect just an update. The last beta was 2022.12.3.15 AKA 10.12.1 FSD beta. If 2022.16.0.2 isn’t a beta update, then us folks waiting for the next beta will likely get 10.12.2 when ever it’s released. Hopefully...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Depends on each person. It’s worth it for me. I love this stuff. :) Same for many others. Of course, some think it’s not worth it yet, but maybe when it improves more. Some would never buy. You have to decide. :)
  26. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

It does state it is the beta, so I would say yes. :)
  27. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

10.12 looks like it just dropped. Only one install so far. Hopefully we will see the next beta shortly.
  28. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

Ah. Well, I was hopeful. :)
  29. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I see 2022.12.3.11 was just released on Teslifi. I hope that’s an FSD release version. It’s been a while.
  30. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

Chances are 50/50. I hope it’s released this weekend. It would make a lot of people happy.
  31. M109Rider

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

Not at this location. The two working chargers have one ccs and one Chademo each. At present, Chademo is only Tesla. Maybe when the remaining two are uncovered and turned on, they will have Chademo without the adapters.
  32. M109Rider

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

Just stopped at an Ivy charger in Woodstock at the onroute. Four chargers here two not up and running yet. Of the two open, each has one ccs and one Chademo. The Chademo has the permanently attached Tesla adapter. Worked great. Very cool.
  33. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I paid $6,600 for mine. The first beta drop in Canada was actually pretty cool. The last version dropped is not that good. Definitely a step back. Hopefully the next one is a few steps forward. :)
  34. M109Rider

nail in tire. this is repairable?

I would buy a kit and patch it yourself.
  35. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

Ya, only one install still. Wishful thinking on my part I guess.
  36. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

2022.12.22 just dropped. No idea if this is a beta update or not, but looks promising.
  37. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I myself haven’t noticed any difference at all from radar to visual only. The differences I’ve noticed, are from software version to software version.
  38. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

Anyone that has the beta, received any updates for 2022.12.1 or 2022.12.3. I assume beta users don’t get the latest updates. Do they usually include the latest updates in the next beta update ?
  39. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

I’m not sure I’m following your point, but the car is collecting data from every beta tester. It mostly collects data when the car is disengaged, or the driver hits the video button. This data is used by the programming team to further the development. Are you saying the data from beta testers...

    Ioniq 5 vs Model Y

I would hope that’s an anomaly with that car. Yikes. I have 107,000 miles on my 2018 model 3, with 9.5% - 10.5% degradation. It actually varies depending on how the car feels when I check. :) In any case, I’m happy with that. Car is 3.5 years old.
  41. M109Rider

    Stolen J1772 Adapter

Sorry. Wrong person. Thought you were the OP. :)
  42. M109Rider

    Stolen J1772 Adapter

What temperature was it when you lost the adapter ?
  43. M109Rider

Set Temp vs Actual Temp difference.

I was referring to the internal temp being off. The exterior temp seems accurate. Just the internal temp is off by about 4° Celsius or 9° Fahrenheit.
  44. M109Rider

Summer is around the corner. So is this. :)

All good advice. Car is over three years and a half years old now. The clear coat/vinyl coating ship has sailed. First I’ve heard of a radiator insert in that location though.
  45. M109Rider

Set Temp vs Actual Temp difference.

My model 3 AWD has a similar problem. Temp says 23° Celsius (73.4° Fahrenheit.) But the cars actual temp is only 18° Celsius (64.4° Fahrenheit. ) ?
  46. M109Rider

Summer is around the corner. So is this. :)

Really looking forward to summer. Not so much this. :)
  47. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

Good news on the cameras. Keep in mind, they may not be physically disabling your radar, but that doesn’t mean the software still uses it….
  48. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

2022.12.1 has added a bunch more users today. Anyone know if those on the latest beta will get a separate update for this, or not at all ?
  49. M109Rider

    Canada - FSD rollout

You can opt out and in again, when it looks like they are opening it up. You may miss the next wave, but hopefully the one after.
