the GT Performance guys are a little miffed at the 1/4 mile trap speeds. it seems the GT"P" isn't really any faster in the 1/4 than the regular GT. whoops.

you haven't seen one in person? they're all over here by me, in chicago-land. i think they look decent, just a bigger 3 in most aspects, as originally advertised. but there's nothing wrong with an S. i loved my P85 and the car has more than ample cargo room. some people prefer cars to SUVs...

i think it's getting the heated wheel just like the 3 is, so that difference is going away. the comparison between the Y and S makes more sense for a family purchase.

I've had both. For a future family it's a no brainer between the two (IMO). Model S all the way. A tougher comparison to make would be a Model Y Performance vs a Model S. Both have plenty of cargo space and such for a family.

Thanks Shimmy, you as well. Tesla service was here today, they installed new cabin filters, cleaned the evaporator, replaced the steering wheel control module, replaced the chargeport door, installed the new FSD computer. it smells new inside again. I paid it off recently and am waiting...

it was a key design element, in my opinion. and if you add any tint to the back window, it extends the "mars roof" all the way to the trunk.

that's actually not accurate. some model 3s have it on both glass panels, some only on the front panel, and some don't have it at all. and it's not just the first run of 50k or so, i've seen an 80k vin as well as my 122k vin that have it on both panels. my friend's 500k vin doesn't have it on...

if you are being picky, so am i. i ended up trading my partial roof car back in for a DM that had both roof panels the same color.

thanks! it's a wrap I bought from Amazon ($10?), it's a "must do" to cover the piano black console surfaces. i believe a member here also makes them, the other thing you have to get is the $5 console tray insert.
