Most brokers settle trades at the end of the day, I guess after trading hours, so there is the possibility to close the position in the AM and reopen after a recovery in the PM, if that actually happens. There is a clear extra element of risk in that approach.

If Tesla were to buy more BTC, would it then be the weighted average purchase price that is compared to market price in determining the P&L charge? So, with rough math, if they bought twice as much, the charge was be 1/2 what it would be without further purchases?

I switched into buy-writes after selling all my bonds several years ago. Even at $975/$1075 purchase price, I expect to get a 20% annual return which sure beats bonds and cash. Would like to exit the holdings asap though, and try to figure out a way to stay more liquid.

Have the impression any split will take several months to organize (annual mtg approval, etc.). When do you think it might happen? I am thinking of exiting CC by the early July P&D announcement and watching for awhile for a better indication of what the 2Q P&L suggests for the SP.

Since they went ITM today, at ~3:30pm rolled 6/3 $730 and $755 CC to 6/10 $740 and $765 for a tidy $7 credit. If needed, I’m going to try to roll +1 week +$10 from now on irrespective of the change in SP, hoping for any rises to be less dramatic than this week and that strikes will eventually...

73/74 and 40/85 are 2 roads not 4 within 25-30 miles of the Chatham-Siler megasite, and the currently available small roads connecting the site to those interstates would have trouble handling significant semi traffic.

I live in the county just north of Chatham (NC), and travel through it multiple times a month. It seems to me that connecting from there to any interstate would be a nightmare within the next 10 years until the road system is dramatically expanded.

In my experience, covered call roll terms are better when SP is down, but I can’t say that’s true in ALL cases. In general, the amount of credit and/or strike price improvement declines as the price rises. Maybe others will know if it varies whether you’re ITM or OTM.
