Minor Correction: I'm on TOU-B and have only the Grid Charging option, not the export one.

I also don't have a separate NGOM. I stalled a bit when my installer said it would be needed and then Tesla got approval on some piece of the hardware (I think the gateway) that PG&E accepted instead. My export credits allowed are limited to the estimated production of my PV.

I have 3 PW, very similar NEM2-MT agreement (allowed export box is checked) and have the option in the Tesla app.

Off Grid as in you have no electrical service or put the Powerwall in "off grid" mode? Or Off Grid as in you have negligible draw from the electrical service?

If the information provided to PG&E is correct, it seems impossible to ever exceed their estimated generation. Your home loads are behind the meter, so unless you are adding some kind of rogue generation, or have literally all home loads turned off how could you even approach the generation...

I am not. I understand the tactical reasons why renewables are currently curtailed. If maximizing renewable generation was the strategic goal then contracts wouldn't promise generation levels to fossil fuel plants which also could be curtailed.

Exactly; they don't actually care about maximizing renewable energy generation. They care about lining the pockets of the fat cats that kick back and lobby.

The reason I posted my 2021 stats earlier was to show that even with a system that produced 94% of my home energy use, my home still sourced 42% of it's power from the grid. (My PV destinations were Home 32%, Powerwall 34%, grid 34%). Again I am PV + ESS so not the same as everyone's situation...

Are you saying that only my PV counts as “RGEF” in this context? I thought that the PW were RGEF which is why they were required to be on the nameplate form and calculation.

Storm watch activated in town in Reedley CA today.

My Gateway was connected to my IoT network at installation but had fallen off and I didn't really care. The setting in the Tesla App wasn't able to see my SSID even though it is being broadcasted. Manual entry of the SSID, password and encryption version worked.

Allowable export is vastly higher than I have ever exported, because my house uses power. :p I believe it's based on pvwatts estimates for your address.

My only complaint on that is that they can't do the true up on the first of the month. I'd like my reports to match theirs slightly... But at least now your allowable export calculation will be right sized.
