It really depends. In 2021 there were several months where the cars did not have the required charge port ECU. There was a tracker for this on TMC but I can’t seem to find the thread right now. My Model Y from Nov 2021 does not have the ECU as Nov builds were unfortunately fitted with the old ECU.

Does your car need the charge port as well or just the ECU?

There is a parts shortage for them. So SR+ and LR Model 3s are getting shipped with the old headlights and it's a gamble which one they come with. It varies by day/week. The Performance Model 3 is not affected.

You can call the sales support number and ask them where the car is and when it’s expected to land at your delivery location.

I had a 5 day window when my car was in transit. I ended up taking delivery a week prior to the window dates as it arrived just a couple dates after I received that EDD.

Picked up my car today. Delivery was easy. Only found one small issue so far. The driver side sun visor doesn't stay fitted to the magnet properly. So far the car is a blast to drive. I was only able to drive it home in traffic but it is so damn fast.

They won’t short the line of parts unless it was a mass shortage. So any cars being built now will get part priority over cars sitting at the delivery center lots. I hear ya. I miss my LR RWD. That was a fun car. The steering was a lot lighter than the dual motor cars and being able to whip the rear end out on the right surface was fun. We’ll be able to do that with Track mode on the Performance but it’s a different drive altogether.

Are you getting rid of your LR RWD or keeping them both?
