If the 3A draw is real then even a new 12V battery may not have worked anyway. It's always best to determine the root cause before just changing parts regardless of who pays for the replacement parts.

I have the the splitter and it works just fine. However, I don't use it to charge 2 different cars at the same time. The splitter is only used to avoid having to plug/unplug which is inconvenient for NEAM 14-50.

It appears the voltage is dropping too much under the 32A load. It could be loose wiring connection in the outlet or in the JuiceBox.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I was referring to getting PW from Tesla vs other sources. PW definitely has some nice capabilities. It's kind of sobering to see that the PW came out 7 years ago and the market is still in early adopter stage.

Does your TV work on DC power? If not, just adding capacitors alone won't help.

So, Tesla approves and supports such setup? Most other hybrid inverter vendors have strict criteria on supported max PV capacity that can be AC coupled. I am not aware of another vendor that supports AC coupling ratio of 3:1 (PV capacity:inverter power capacity).

LFP is an inherently safer chemistry and it's voltage compatible with AGM/lead acid batteries and conventional 12VDC devices including trailer auxiliary power which doesn't work the high li-ion voltage as pointed out in the article.

In general, only inverter generators will work consistently. You may also need to bond ground-neutral to get it working with 120Vac generator output. 240Vac would provide better efficiency.

Fundamentally V2H can't be as integrated as dedicated home battery systems as it's not always connected or enabled. The huge demand for generators shows most people don't mind a few minutes of outage before backup power kicks in for hours long blackouts.

I have seen similar info for PG&E but they do not include all the true fixed costs. Rather they are rate fees attributed to some of the fixed costs. Again, before getting to rate fees the POCO's should be required to provide full transparency on all true fixed costs.

Given your background, can you explain why POCO's don't just break out the true fixed costs? The lack of transparency just makes it look like they are trying to hide something. I also find it troubling the CPUC has not forced such transparency and former CPUC members going to work at POCO's.

That's the maximum range for the hardware but the actual range is likely much narrower depending on the grid profile in use for your utility.
