Glass that passes light in the visible spectrum cuts out almost all UV light extremely effectively, any extra UV reduction by film is superfluous. I measured zero with a UV meter through the roof glass.

I have portable SSDs, too, love them. The 1 tb Sandisk card, which I had reformatted on two different desktops and one laptop to no avail, works fine in a DSLR. Maybe time to try it again in the Tesla, see if the intervening updates have made a difference.

They have a lot on their plates, much of it far more important than the auto headlights. That doesn't mean they think it works fine, that's a real reach on your part. When you buy a Tesla, patience is a virtue.

Nice thing about it is that they are constantly improving the software, so eventually all the current issues will go away. Takes a bit of patience, but what they are trying to accomplish is very, very difficult and will take time.

Update. With 2021.44.30.21 the car slows down to an appropriate speed at interstate exits where it used to fly into them at high speed. Much better. The display still doesn't show the exit speed limit, still shows 65 or 70 from the interstate, but it is dramatically improved.

The glass itself blocks UV extremely well, no need for any additional blocking, that's just advertising hype for a superfluous characteristic.

I had serious problems with pb, happened at least twice daily, but after upgrading to 2021.44.30.21 the pb completely disappeared. Weeks now, and zero events.
