are there any level 2 home chargers that can charge faster than 48amps/12,000 watts

The highest we've seen on our vehicles has been 48 so if he's seeing 72, I believe you are correct and his car can potentially charge at up to 72 amps.

Why so many “outages" [recorded by my system]

Thanks for making me aware of this thread @jboy210 , @jjrandorin and @Cigano . We started having our problem on sunny days a few months after expanding our solar system a few years back. We noticed voltage issues and initially attributed it to our neighbor's pool. We complained to Xcel Energy...

    Supercharger - Grand Junction, CO

They expanded Limon last month by adding 8 v3 in addition to the original 6 v2 stalls. Hopefully they will continue to upgrade or supplement all the v2 locations along I-70.

    Supercharger - Westminster, CO

We stopped by today to check on the progress. The stalls are all complete but the Supercharger cabinets still need to be installed. I doubt they'll be ready by July 4th but should easily be done in Q3.

We only get notifications if an outage is over 5 minutes long.

How to tell after power outage if you are using PW Batteries or if the grid is back on?

Do you have notifications enabled? We receive notifications when the grid is down and the Powerwalls are powering things. We get another notification when the grid comes back up.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

Urban Superchargers are pretty rare around here. We'd have to drive nearly 200 miles to reach the closest one. They must not be that much cheaper than v3 Superchargers since Tesla really hasn't installed many of the urban Superchargers since v3 came out.

$499?!? That seems way overpriced. You could easily do something yourself for way less using a couple bicycle hooks or something similar. In my mom's garage, we used a couple zip ties and a Tesla charging cradle to hold the plug.

    Supercharger - Hays, KS

It would be great if Tesla filled in the gaps along I-70 as they are on I-80 in Nebraska. I looked at the map and thought WaKeeney or Russell would be good options. I recently bought a Tesla CCS adapter and decided to check out CCS options on Plugshare. I was happy to see CCS stations are...

Hydroplane and lifting off the accelerator

See this thread where it was determined a couple weeks back that the lack of tread was the cause of the problem: Hydroplaned and crashed. Driving for 50 years. Never happened before. Thoughts?

    Supercharger - Hays, KS

Did you check with the driver using the paired stall to see what they were getting? When you are at a v2 Supercharger, two of the pedestals are paired and share a maximum output (such as 120 kW or 150 kW). You can tell the which Supercharger stalls are paired based on the numbers/letters that...

"What's new" link in navigation bar going away soon - here is how to keep it

"What's new" link in navigation bar going away soon - here is how to keep it

I checked my mobile devices and they both show my theme is set to TMC Pro 2022 but I see What's New. There was a time several months ago when the What's New button on mobile changed (to Feeds? or something) but then it changed back to What's New.

"What's new" link in navigation bar going away soon - here is how to keep it

It looks like the What's New button still shows up in mobile, even when I don't have the option set in preferences. Shouldn't it change to just be "New"?

Have you checked to make sure the louvers are opening up when Supercharging? If the louvers don't open, then the car can't cool the battery properly so it reduces the maximum charge rate.

Model S Refresh - Push Center to Honk on Yoke?

That feature went away around the end of 2021 for us. Our Plaid S originally had that option in August 2021. When we tried it on our LR S in December 2021, it didn't work. We tried it again on our Plaid and found it no longer worked. The option is gone from the settings and it is no longer...

Limited Time: 100 kWh Battery Upgrade (S/X), Ludicrous+ Capable, 2 Year Warranty

We've hit 187 kW on our March 2017 S100D at a v3 Supercharger. I think we've seen close to 150 kW on a v2. Those numbers were attained on long road trips in the summer, when the battery was taken down to 10% or so.

    Supercharger - Limon, CO

Yes, the J1772 adapter is still included with all new cars. The J1772 adapter has nothing to do with the mobile connector and does not connect to it. Tesla Supercharger network

We've driven 250,000 miles in our Teslas and there have been many times where we've had to charge for over 40 minutes. Historically, Superchargers aren't as close together outside of California and if we travel off the interstates, it often requires a charge of 80% or more to get to our...

Supercharger Taxi Overuse - What to do?

Sharing power at paired stalls is still an issue at v2 Supercharger locations. Just last weekend, I was charging at over 130 kW when a new Model Y pulled in and parked at a shared stall. My charge rate instantly dropped below 100 kW. I moved my car to the next stall over and it jumped right back...

    250kW supercharger disaapointment

Older Teslas can still benefit from v3 Superchargers. As I mentioned before, I've hit 187 kW on my 2017 Model S when using a v3 Supercharger. While it's not 250 kW, it's better than the 140 kW I get at a v2 Supercharger and I don't have to worry about paired Superchargers. (On a recent road...

    Supercharger - Limon, CO

Nice. I was just there a week ago on April 10th and there was no sign of construction. I'm glad to see they expanding this location. Hopefully they will expand the other locations across Kansas and add some v3 Superchargers. That will really help with the paired Supercharger issue.
