Any big brand alignment shop will align to "spec". Whether they're at the extremes is kind of up to them (same with Tesla). Basically, Costco will be fine. Tesla is probably going to charge you quite a bit more. There's not much room for adjustment, so there's no need to go to a specialty shop...

Typically the X has premature rear tire wear from aggressive toe. You have outside tire wear (if I'm looking at the photos correctly). Bad toe is the most likely culprit, since it's unlikely you have extreme positive camber. Get an alignment and post the before and after sheet.

This is a bad alignment or premature suspension bushing failure. It has nothing to do with the drive unit or braking.

Makes me think Tesla isn't aligning cars from the factory.

You just need a short hitch extender. Thankfully, my rack barely clears when it's folded up. Just a annoying when bikes are on because I like to gear up when sitting in the trunk. But, lately I've been throwing all my gear in the frunk since it smells bad lol

Some type of testing or certification that you could try to cross reference. Sometimes they show a load rating. At least that's what I learned about for my aftermarket wheels.

That's within spec. Mfgs like to add rear camber to performance cars to drivers don't kill themselves. It is quite a bit of camber though, I think I ran a race in my Spec Miata with -1.5 😂

I like a smidge of toe for turn in, but 0 is fine. Notice the almost 0.25 degrees in the rear. That's huge. My car is aligned in low, and the approx. -2 degree camber isn't a ton. It will wear the tires prematurely, but nothing like the toe.

There is a small amount of adjustment, but then "approved" factory alignment is a football fjeld in terms of alignment. I'll post my baseline when I'm at my computer. Replacing the toe links requires cutting the old ones out 😂

Toe will wear a tire faster than camber. Factory spec toe is really aggressive.

Actually, now that I think about it. Plugging in doesn't matter because you can plug in a bike rack with lights and still use AP features.

I did too but I was towing and the car didn't pick up the unloaded trailer. I also didn't pay for the towing package. Not sure if that played a role.

Sometimes you get lucky and the software doesn't detect a trailer and it'll work 🤣

Alternatively you can pop the right side center console and tap the same aux wire that runs to the back. Then you can just run wire up the front A pillars, up to the headliner, and down the center channel.

What year do you have? The 20 or 21 (forget which year exactly) model we tested was great, the most recent one did not work at all. There's nothing like a Porsche. Fast acceleration is fun and all, but it's nothing like actually driving a car.

1up, Kuat. All hitches are going to beep when you're backing up. You can disable the backup noise though. I don't know if you can open the tailgate with the 1up, but I can with my Kuat.

No idea if about the links and EAP/FSD, but I do know Tesla aligns in low and you can drive in very low. Beyond that, I'm nit sure.

That was my understanding as well. A majority of the time regen is going to work like it always has. The brake blending would only apply at high SOC or if your battery was cold. In those situations, you would be applying brakes anyways.

I can't leave. Don't want to wear down my brakes!
