    Elon Musk

He wants humans to be multi-planetary but his child to still live like its the Middle Ages. This whole “population collapse“ when the birth rate is > 2 is such BS - I’m beginning to wonder whether he is adopting one more alt-right idea of “white genocide“. He is only concerned about birth rates...

    FSD Beta 10.12

It does. Infact we had a whole thread on this. Let me give an example. I'm waiting for a ULT. The oncoming vehicle is just a second away or even right next to me. If the steering wheel suddenly jerks - I'm going to disconnect. So should you. Because we don't know whether it's just jerking or...

    Elon Musk

Musk actually thinks "both" Dems & Republicans are too extreme. He supports a "super moderate" position - whatever that means. Infact he wants to start a super PAC called "Super Moderate" PAC. His positions don't seem to be all that different from other rich CEOs like Ellison or Bloomberg or...

Right call. It is really testing - not ADAS disguised as testing.

Elon backtracks (again): will layoff Hourly workers including those supporting FSD program

BS, click bait. Go back and read the email. He only wrote hourly manufacturing workers won’t be laid off. Not sales.

Elon backtracks (again): will layoff Hourly workers including those supporting FSD program

Where is the “sales” slowing down ? My Y release has moved from July when I ordered to Jan. Stop the BS FUD.

Enhanced autopilot released for Australia and New Zealand

Bad title. Not yet released. “To be reintroduced“.
  9. EVNow

Enhanced autopilot released for Australia and New Zealand

Tesla recognizes something like 55% of FSD revenue. So, they think the present value of undelivered portion of FSD is 45%.

    FSD Beta 10.12

I get the nag all the time. I’ve just got used to tugging when the nag comes. Earlier I used to jiggle the wheel - which wasn’t effective always. Now I just tug and hold for a second. It’s 100% effective. BTW, on vehicles with scroll wheels, moving them up/down works as well.
  11. EVNow

    FSD Beta 10.12

Do you mean you get a nag even when the hands are on the wheel ? You can defeat that by applying a slight torque on the wheel once in a while. I find it easier to do that when I get the nag. With FSD Beta, I can't even imagine why anyone would not have atleast one hand on the wheel all the...

    FSD Beta 10.12

Got a new message ! This is a multi-lane roundabout I always have problem with. Now there is some construction going on at the roundabout too. "Autopilot speed limited due to poor visibility"

    Snippiness 2.0

Guns don’t kill. Nukes don’t kill either. It’s people with guns / nukes that kill. So, we should ban people using those. Pedantic.

    Snippiness 2.0

You are the one who said I claimed it was demanding. No - they said it was demanding. I’ve provided proof of minimum 5 minutes that is in the regulation itself. Go, read it again. Stop the BS.

    Autonomous Car Progress

So at 20 mph, it would be 20,000 miles per disengagement. That is 2 times better than Waymo in CA. Why do they even need a LiDAR based system ? You are so naive.
  16. EVNow

    Snippiness 2.0

Dude, go and read their PR. Don't make up BS about me. Your dishonesty has no bounds.
  17. EVNow

    FSD Beta 10.12

Yes - besides with GM and others using the camera, NHTSA can force Tesla to use it as well. NHTSA won't do anything that would anger the big 3 - but Tesla is a small fish for them.
  18. EVNow

    Autonomous Car Progress

That they carefully chose and put out. We have been through this multiple times before. Even I can put out great FSD Beta videos by carefully selecting the best trip - even though my disengagement rate is < 5 miles. And an individual like Omar can put out more than an hour of unedited drive. He...

    FSD Beta 10.12

I'm fairly sure they will bring the camera analytics to everyone - including AP users. NHTSA is will probably recommend it.

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

Slow down. You are talking about NOA - not even FSD beta. Yes, it’s nowhere near “robotaxi”.
  22. EVNow

Will Mercedes jump to level 3 before Tesla? Looks like it.

Good to see they are testing in real world conditions and not just the 5 minutes test they claimed was demanding. I guess they will be filing CA report showing miles driven, if they haven’t already ?

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

@2101Guy wants visitors to TMC to think that Tesla is not safe I.e. as usual a very dishonest post. BTW, Waymo has the highest number of crashes among ADS - but he is not talking about that.
  25. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

Two separate reports - one for adas and the other for ads.
  26. EVNow

    FSD Beta 10.12

Those might probably already on the map ? I've some older signals that have been removed. FSD always tries to stop at those.

OnStar is GMs. Subaru's is indeed called Starlink (the same name as SpaceX internet service). https://www.subaru.com/vehicle-info/subaru-starlink.html
  28. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

This is the ADS report - not ADAS i.e. these are L3+ vehicles a.k.a. self-driving cars. Basically, mostly various companies testing their AVs on public roads. We know Apple has been testing their AV on public roads for some years now (because of CA reporting).
  29. EVNow

Ah ... so, thats what they are called. I called them "shades", above.
  30. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

@2101Guy apparently didn't read this important thing. OP won't be winning any honesty rewards any time soon.
  35. EVNow

What would you pay for FSD, if anything?

I don't think this is true. AP will still ask for confirmation at traffic lights. But it will follow a lead car.
  36. EVNow

    FSD Beta 10.12

It is not as far fetched as you might think. One of my co-workers complained about a light that he mistook almost got into an accident. The city repaired the lights (installed shades).
  37. EVNow

    FSD Beta 10.12

Usually, at least around here, troublesome lights like that get shades so that only people on the corresponding street can see it. But Tesla will have to figure a way to "override" - because clearly the lights in the front are more likely to be the correct ones.
  38. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

Not just bad science. It is a deliberate attempt at FUD. I won't be surprised if OP has some undisclosed conflict of interest.
  39. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

This whole thing is just another FUD by people like @2101Guy A lot of clueless people (esp. TSLAQ) have been trying to create FUD around anything & everything Tesla/Elon for years and years. Nothing new here. FUD is so high, Elon even made a joke about it. But remember the reality ...

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

How are so many others in your area getting 95%+ scores and are in Beta testing ?
  42. EVNow

Data likely shows Teslas on Autopilot crash more than rivals

Again BS. Absolute numbers or per 1000 cars is an absolute BS way of calculating. Other companies do not have worthwhile AP that people use a lot. Tell us by miles of actual usage. AP is 4 million miles per crash. Much better than general auto fleet.

Does Tesla have a big math problem?

    FSD Beta 10.12

Added a few days of 10.11.2. As I suspected, the disengagement rate has gone down with 10.12.2. Main difference - Roundabouts : 10.12.2 doesn't stop before entering a roundabout. That works well for empty roundabouts, compared to 10.11.2. BUT, it doesn't yet handle a small roundabout any...

Does Tesla have a big math problem?

Let us take a look at that. He starts by saying there will be "a million Tesla cars road with full self-driving hardware". Just because he omits "hardware" next time doesn't mean he has changed his position in seconds. You guys behave like dubious political operatives who take quotes out of...

    FSD Beta 10.12

3,380 now. So, Tesla continues to add as and when vehicles become eligible. They don't have any backlog anymore, IMO. If this represents 100k testers, we have a new 1:30 ratio between Teslafi testers and realworld testers.
