Anyone used the Cobram VIC RACV Chargefox Supercharger recently?

So I just called in there yesterday to test it out, turns out the supplied cables (Type 2 from Jetcharge) both won't work with my Model 3, I originally thought it was the charger and the car reports that the charging equipment is not ready but I then tried my new cable I got from EVSE and it...

    I'm assuming it's BYO Cable?

Car manufacturers with worse service than Tesla

I had a bit of an unfortunate experience, had my RHS repeater dented by a door, had it quoted by Tesla and booked in. I did the almost 2 hour drive and dropped the car in and waited, they came out about 30 mins later and I'm thinking "wow that was nice and quick I'll be home before I expected"...

Anyone used the Cobram VIC RACV Chargefox Supercharger recently?

Actually I go past that place and often stay like about 500m away and didn't realise they had the ChargeFox AC chargers there, I'll have to check them out next time!

Ovens site management encouraging ICEing of Supercharger stalls

My understanding from TOCA president Mark is that there are some positive conversations happening with the owners so I would be careful about assuming it was a deliberate act.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I tried and it said that I had to be in park to use it.

If you try and connect it will tell you the car has to be in park to use Wifi though.

Love the look what size are the rims/tyre width?
  12. Crustyman

EAP for $5100 - are you buying it?

I think you'll find it'll keep going up in price as it becomes more useful though, it's already done that more than once and people still pay for it.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Wouldn't plasti dip make it a bit matte looking though, or is there a reasonable glossy version?

I hear you on that, there must be a syndrome or something for that. WaFNU? Waiting For Next Update :)

    Model 3 Reversing lights

Agree I already have had 2 randoms tell me one of my reverse lights are out, I'd prefer them over having a fog light but not much we can do about it :)

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yep I was complaining about this to a group I'm in just yesterday, went for a decent drive on the weekend and the car is back to lunatic mode when it comes to corners, will happily throw it into a corner at full speed and then frantically brake mid-corner like it used to a few updates back.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Just watched it thanks, what is hilarious is that when the Model 3 is driven out of the factory and when driven onto the ship they have added an ICE engine sound over top!

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

What about: When Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control is enabled, the Autosteer cruising set speed on residential roads can now be increased up to +5 mph (10 km/h) over the speed limit.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Ha You're lucky, in Ballarat mine does that every time I go to drive it and can take 30 mins of driving to go away. So to answer your question, totally due to cold weather :)

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

    I have ordered from gpstrackingamerica.com the following: Tesla Model 3 OBDII Adapter (2019-2020) - HRN-CT20T11 cost me $29.95USD plus $30.00USD shipping, $59.95 all up I figured wasn't terrible :)

What was missing from your Model 3? (if anything...)

Wow I'd have expected way more for something that costs more than my house does, makes the stitching issue (which I'm sure tesla will fix) on my steering wheel seem like a complete non-issue. I'm very happy with the panels and general fit and finish of my Model 3 P+. I do think that we seem to...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Not sure it's odd I feel like it still reacts slower and I find myself using the brake pedal far more often that I was before 12.5. In saying that I went through 3 versions within a couple of weeks all when I didn't have much driving to do so it could also be me just getting used to the car as...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I see TeslaFi is starting to see 2020.12.5.6 rolling out slowly apparently it will now stop at red lights and green if you don't pull back on the autopilot stalk to signify that it is safe to proceed, obviously starting to teach the system what's good and what's not :)

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

It was almost 20C today, the car showed no regen limit and was at 74% SOC. The other day on 2020.8.3 I was driving on a 7C morning and it was showing a big regen limit yet it felt more powerful than today, definitely different to 8.3 to a point where I got caught out coming up to an...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Model 3 P+, definitely in the standard regen, I even checked it straight away when I expected it to slow down faster with regen. I used to have to be careful if I took the Cruise off without my foot on the accelerator it'd feel like I'd jammed the brakes on but now it doesn't at all and I've...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I've never found auto highbeams to work very well in any of the cars that I have owned (Chrysler, Toyota, Kia) they all liked to blind randomly and used to get confused by reflections from highway signs and go on and off. On another note 2020.12.5 has definitely reduced the regen braking which...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Funny I've not been a big fan of the fake leather smell in the car so I went and grabbed my favourite air freshener today to try and start getting rid of the "new car" smell.

    Superchargers in Australia

ChargeFox just built in Ballarat and we've already got a SC, I've contacted them to try and see if they'll do something in Shepparton Victoria as there is no DC options around there unless you head 40km to Euroa.

Frunk hooks for Model 3 are apparently no longer a thing...

Just change the spring over to the C83 spring from bunnings, takes literally 60 seconds and a pair of pliers to do then you can close it with one hand, feels much better.

SMS from Tesla re delivery and the virus

Looks like I won't be picking up my Performance Model 3 on Friday in Richmond now :( I hope they at least return the money I've paid them so I can put it against my home loan for now.

I was under the impression that Ceramic was more likely to cause cracking on the rear window and to stay away from it?

Not sure why people with EV's do this, we're all going to be in a situation at some point where we need to charge so why not be courteous to each other?

    Insurance quotes for Australian M3?

I tried to get a quote from UbiCar but the page doesn't let me get past entering details about the car, you select all the options but the "continue" button doesn't work. Tried on 3 browsers on 3 devices... just doesn't like me!
