Escort Passport 9500ci Install in Twin Cities

Mach1 did an install of the Escort Passport 9500ci radar detector for me. I didn't want to shell out this kind of money, but I've always driven with a radar detector and didn't want to stop now that I have a super-high accelerating vehicle. Of course, with the Tesla, you pretty much need...

Authentication flaws in the REST API (if you give 3rd party your private login info)

I did a write-up on the Tesla REST API authentication model: http://broadcast.oreilly.com/2013/08/authentication-flaws-in-the-tesla-model-s-rest-api.html Note: moved this to my O'Reilly blog (no idea why I put it on G+)

    EV Charging Fun

Just saw a blue Tesla in the Vail Village EV parking not charging when the signage clearly states you should be charging or not parking there. Not cool. However, it did have some unusual wheels. Completely covered with some kind of carbon fibre like thing.

    MSP Airport EV Parking

The good news: there's now about 12 EV parking spots on level 8 (6 red, 6 blue) at MSP Airport J1772 (no idea if level 1 or 2). The bad news: All occupied by gas-powered cars. Not a single EV. I had to park somewhere else. First picture has my Tesla sitting at the end in a non-parking spot.

The family is making a weekend trip to Gull Lake. If I can find charging, I can make it in the Model S. Anyone know of any options?

EV Charging Hotel in Green Bay?

I am going to try to do the trek from Minneapolis to Green Bay this winter for Vikings at Packers, SC installation schedules willing. Anyone know of a hotel in the Green Bay area with EV charging capabilities?

Paint Protection in the Twin Cities

I went with Automative Paint Protection (Automotive 3M Paint Protection Film Clear Shield Bra Mask Eden Prairie MN) in Eden Prairie. They do a lot of the pre-delivery detailing of Model S's for the Tesla Service Center. My choice was the 3M Ventureshield. I got the full front, 24 inches on the...

Recommendation for Installed Electronics, Minneapolis/St. Paul?

I want to get a radar detector and dash camera installed. I have heard of one attempt that did not go well. I was curious if anyone in the Twin Cities has a good experience with one or both?

    Window Tinting in Twin Cities

Sun Control out of St. Paul (with a location in Eden Prairie) tinted my windows today with 3M Crystalline. I am happy with the initial results, and Todd over at the Tesla service center inspected them as well and he liked the job.

    Tesla Web Site Forums

I am becoming a bit more than irritated with all of the self-righteous jackasses policing the official Tesla web site forums for some kind of Tesla purity. It seems any time there's a negative commentary by a poster about Tesla, a group of people can be guaranteed to jump on them and attack...

Tesla Car Washing in the Twin Cities

What have people in the Twin Cities been doing for car washes?
