    6.1 better energy efficiency?

I was 2.2.92 for about 2 weeks. I just got 2.2.115 last night, so I'll see if there is any difference.

    6.1 better energy efficiency?

I too have seen this drop. I drive the same route and temperatures are the same. I was in between 300-310 Wh/mi and now I'm 270-280 Wh/mi. My first thought was something was different that day....like I had driven slower, etc. A few days in now and I'm still getting lower numbers though. Works...

    Android Wear: Hopefully Tesla Supports

I agree, but items like the Moto 360 will continue to take off IMHO. If wear technology is to expand, it has to look like every day items. This is one reason I own and enjoy my Moto 360. It is not that it does anything "killer", but it is very stylish and gives me quick access to notifications...

    Slacker vs Spotify

I would recommend switching if you aren't attached to Spotify. The options are very similar and libraries about the same. Slacker has two subscription types, the one that comes with your Tesla is the a special version of the Plus subscription. I say that because normally with Plus, you can not...

    Firmware 6.0

Have you guys tried to toggle the regen settings and then reboot? This has worked with past upgrades that had the same regen issues.

Slacker Premium Playlists and Touchscreen crashes

I too have sent emails about them enabling the premium features. I don't use custom playlists a lot, but I will try them out to see if I have the same problems. One of the things I personally would like to see is the offline mode. I'm sure there is enough HDD space to store the songs for a few...

    Repairing Crease in Frunk

As others have stated, many repair shops have openly admitted there is no "fix". If someone untrained in the delicate nature of closing the hood works on your car, there will be a very high likely hood of it happening again. That means car detailers, valets, even Tesla technicians themselves...

Maybe this is why we can't store music on the hard drive

It would be nice if they enabled the offline mode for Slacker with that extra space. That would alleviate their liability and let us store music locally as well.

    Repairing Crease in Frunk

I was pretty much told the exact same thing. I have chosen not to do mine at this time for this reason. If we get the ability to "lock" the frunk or a fix actually becomes available, I would get this repair done right away. It would only make me more mad to pay to have it fixed and it happen...

    Repairing Crease in Frunk

My last quote was $2300. They told me they would have to repaint in order to make it seamless. I know others have had luck with dent repair specialists, but I have not had the chance to consult with one yet.
  11. P

    Repairing Crease in Frunk

I agree as well. I would go a step further and say this shouldn't happen on a 20K car either. I certainly hope they get this worked out - - - Updated - - - Definitely a design issue. They should have worked out an automatic closing system for such a fragile hood.

Does Fuel Savings really make that much of a difference?

My savings were/are huge. If you put 15K or more a year on your car, you will be saving a good amount. In addition to the fuel savings, there is no oil or other fluids to change or upkeep. Plus, I have saved a lot of time being able to ride in the HOV lane alone. I also routinely take trips...

    Would you run 255/35R19

Those would be low profile and the side wall pretty thin. That would be my only concern with a 19" 255 tire.

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

He was able to do this without the need to paint?
  15. P

    Rip vin p01653

I'm glad there were no injuries, it looks like it could have easily been worse. As for your vehicle, very sorry to hear about it. I would also agree that payout seems low. Hope they are able to get you a fair price and soon. Good luck on shopping for your new love.

    VisibleTesla

I may have missed it, but the searches I tried did not turn anything up. Is there a way to send a notification if the car alarm has been triggered? Thanks in advance.

Car makers will offer Android Auto alongside CarPlay later this year

Would be awesome to get my Google Now cards right on the main display. I'm sure we will hear more soon.

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

With the 100+ days returning, so have my loud squeals from the the AC. As others have noted, it is only when the AC is at full blast. Once the car cools down, it is acceptable. That first 10-15 minutes can be embarrassing at times though.

    Frunk Dent (Frustrating...)

I have this exact same dent. I never use the frunk and noticed it a couple weeks after they replaced my cooling pumps. The technicians I have seen close the frunk are no where near as careful as I am.
  20. P

Why do BMW drivers who encounter Teslas almost always embarass themselves?

True, but with the MS this should be rare unless you are squealing tires. ICE vehicles are much more likely to get this ticket from all the noise they make, not their acceleration speed.
  21. P

Interested in 3rd row seat ventilation?

Definitely interested. Please put me on the list.
  22. P

    Frunk, slight dent

No problem, thought if you knew off the top of your head it would be nice to get a price range.
  23. P

    Frunk, slight dent

Do you happen to know how much it cost? Was your hood wrapped?
  24. P

    Frunk, slight dent

I've recently noticed my hood has a crease in it, as opposed to a dent. In bright light, you can not see it. However in a shadow or florescent light, it becomes much more obvious. The thing that upsets me further is I believe this happened at my service center during the coolant pump...

Numbered buttons appearing under station in media player?

I think you are talking about HD stations. Can you press them?

    Model S foglights

For those that have the fog lamps, can someone please let me know if they believe they are worth it? I finally got an answer to my question of purchasing the new fog lamps and having them installed, however I'm not sure its worth the price being asked. I've been quoted 1550$ for the lamps and...

I do. A must in Arizona if you want leather to last.

Stupid tire question: where to get a leak fixed

Discount Tire will take care of it for free. I have had to make a stop there myself already. The one by me had all the info for how to work on our Tesla Model S already loaded in his system, so they were ready to go.

    Cooling pumps B now C

I have not yet had the privilege to use a supercharger yet. I hope to soon though.
  30. P

    Cooling pumps B now C

Lol, I was thinking outside the box a little. I asked a couple people why these needed to be changed and still haven't got a straight answer. Just that the new ones are better. Not complaining, but its odd for a company to simply upgrade you because "the new one is better". I have never seen...
  31. P

    Cooling pumps B now C

Just got my vehicle back from having the same pump upgrades. I noticed a new "fireman" tag was placed in the joint/crack on the passenger side. I tried to pull it out, but it seems rather secure. Almost like, pull in case of emergency. I'm at work, so I'll take a look later. With the recent...

    Firmware 5.8

My pleasure. I think those getting better range is the same problem that those of us with regen and acceleration have. Settings have been changed and it is not showing on the gui. For some it's for the better, others not so much.

    Slacker connection problem with v5.8

I haven't had a problem with Slacker, but TuneIn has been horrible since the update. I'll give this a try, thanks.
  34. P

    When Features Disappear

Mine performs the exact same, unfortunately.

    My new added 10" sub

Thank you for the description. I have the studio package, so I'm wondering if the line output currently there for the sub can be tapped. Ventilation is my concern with the amps as well, might not be feasible to go dual subs with these AZ temperatures. Well, not if I want the amps hidden anyway.
  36. P

    Firmware 5.8

    Done.
  37. P

    Reverse limited to 15 mph

I would also like to see this limit increased a bit. 25-30 would be more responsible.
  38. P

    My new added 10" sub

Very nice. I've been thinking about doing this same thing, but putting in dual 10" on both sides. My only concern was I don't want to see any amps or wiring. Where did you hide the amp?
  39. P

    Firmware 5.8

Yes, I immediately noticed the changes. I was more upset with the my pedal than the air suspension. I emailed and called to voice my opinion and my local service department even confirmed they were seeing the same thing. While the engineers were saying nothing changed, many people were...
  40. P

    Firmware 5.8

Yes, I was going by feel. I agree, would be better to have visual confirmation. - - - Updated - - - Agreed. I've watched the update process before and both screens do reboot during the process. It seems they need to add one final reboot and possibly do a wipe cache so the settings rebuild.
  41. P

    Firmware 5.8

Took a quick drive and tried this. While the toggle does stay in low, I don't believe it is actually in low. At high speeds I can tell the difference when changing lanes. In addition, if you close the control screen and bring it back up, the suspension is in the standard setting. - - - Updated...
  42. P

    Firmware 5.8

Yes, for me I had to toggle the settings and reboot. After the reboot the toggle actually worked. Before the reboot the switch moves, but it doesn't actually do anything. Also, I tried just a reboot and it did nothing. I had to actually toggle my options first, then after a reboot all was well.
  43. P

    When Features Disappear

    Yes, it can.
  44. P

    Firmware 5.8

So I finally had some time to "troubleshoot". I think I see why there is so many different opinions on regen and accelerator differences. My regen was set to standard, as it always has been, but was functioning as low. I had tried to simply toggle the feature, but it appears a reboot or...
  45. P

    When Features Disappear

I completely agree. This is not a coffee machine we are talking about here. We all paid good money to OWN this vehicle. The absolute LEAST they could do is tell us ahead of time any changes they are going to or plan to do to it. We all have accounts with them on file. A simple email or blog...
  46. P

    Firmware 5.8

Even by monitoring the regen it's obvious something has changed. What used to give me full regen when letting off the pedal now gives me 40-45. Also, my local service center has confirmed the changes with their 4.5 and 5.8 cars.
  47. P

    Firmware 5.8

It could be. In the 3+ months I've had my P85, my driving experiences as far as regen and acceleration has been the same until 5.x rolled out. - - - Updated - - - Knowing how it was, makes it even worse. If it was my first drive in a Model S, probably not a big deal. My other take is that it...
  48. P

    Firmware 5.8

I noticed the regen changes immediately as well. If I hadn't gotten used to the way the car drives in the last few months, it wouldn't be a big deal. I had my timings and pedal play all figured out and the next day everything is off. Slightly less annoying is the accelerator pedal change. I...

The cost of ownership - Upgrade Anxiety

Couldn't agree more. Changing how my vehicle drives should have only been an option, not forced. In addition, clear communication should have been made well in advance of the rollout. I'm more upset about the fact they changed MY vehicle WITHOUT telling me, then the fact it changed. They...
