Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

I’m in the same boat. EDD for my plaid is Aug 1st-Aug 20th but it has changed twice from July 24th-Aug24th to July 28-Aug 21st to current. I am thinking that a VIN may come this week. Hopefully the same applies for you as well.

Waiting Room: Model X Plaid Only

I read somewhere on the refresh X thread that vins generally show up 3-5 days before delivery date and the Tesla system updates the EDD dates every Monday. My EDD range starts from July 27th-Aug 17th so I will cling onto hope until the weekend haha

Waiting Room: Model X Plaid Only

I’m in the same boat. Ordered red MXP on 3/12 and was told by the SA in Seattle to expect something before October. Although the information changes with each SA but the general sense is that a push to deliver plaids will be made in June for end of Q2 push. I need a car by July else I’ll have to...

Waiting Room: Model X Plaid Only

I was at the Tesla store in Seattle and they mentioned that if I want to be matched with an available VIN other than my assigned configuration, I will pay the new price rate. Meaning, one cannot use the old way of finding an inventory car and asking to be assigned to it. According to them, if a...

October 2022 Model X Plaid Deliveries

Ordered plaid on 3/11 from Seattle . Current ETA October 2022. Went into the university village Tesla center and they told me that the vehicle should not delay beyond Oct and even may get it in Q2. I am not getting my hopes up just yet but I know Tesla makes an end of quarter push so it could...

Switching from a Model 3 Performance to a Model X Plaid, anyone done it?

I think I missed the stiffer suspension and handling more than the 0-60. The only time I do launches on my 3P is when I’m driving to the ski report in the winter time with winter tires haha. But hey, the wife says that I should live with the 0-60 in 4.4 seconds if it means spending 40k less 😂.

Switching from a Model 3 Performance to a Model X Plaid, anyone done it?

Yeah that makes sense but for reference, I test drove a 2020 LR not the 75D and was driving in sport mode. I guess my issue wasn’t with the acceleration but more so do to with the cheer hugeness of the car and how sluggish it felt on corners compared to my 3P. I think 3P is a drivers car and is...

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

Does it make sense to buy a used 2020 MX LR 6 seat now while I wait for my MXP and then trade it in once the car is available? I currently drive a 2020 M3P and love the handling and acceleration but will need to trade it in for the 2020 MX. we need the extra space now to haul family who will be...

22" Onyx Referral Wheels for Model X

    Are the wheels still available?
  31. neilalexalover

Switching from a Model 3 Performance to a Model X Plaid, anyone done it?

Did a test drive on a used 2020 MX LR today and left the dealership with mixed feelings. Although I loved the wide windshield views and suspension on the X LR, it didn’t have the spunk of a performance. I missed my M3P as I was doing my test drive. Couldn’t wait to get back in my 3P and drive...

Switching from a Model 3 Performance to a Model X Plaid, anyone done it?

We are in the same boat! My wife and I currently own a 2020 M3P and just placed an order for the plaid. I love my M3P and its an absolute beast but its good for max two adults and our dog who takes up the entire back seat haha. We don’t have kids but want a car that is future proof (at least for...

Waiting Room: Model X Plaid Only

Dented the passengers side rocker panel pretty badly, any idea what I’m looking at cost wise?

I have had the same experience. Got a pretty big dent on the passenger side rocker panel. Took it to the Tesla service center in Seattle SODO and they recommended the Pacific Auto Body. The guy gave me an estimate of 7k. Party because of the same reason everyone is giving , which is that they...

Request: Video review from Plaid owner!

I would also love to hear about the 2nd row leg room improvement. Hopefully a comparison between leg space in the 2nd row between the refresh S and the Y.

    Washington State Waiting Room

I cancelled my order for the MYP because of the same reason. I currently drive a 2020 M3P and i‘ve experienced first hand the huge benefits of radar during my trips to crytal and baker in the winter time. Not having a radar and not providing the customers with a finished camera based solution is...

    Washington State Waiting Room

That’s awesome!! When did you place an order? I placed an order on March 24th for a MYP but had to refuse delivery as they assigned me a demo vehicle with really bad interior flaws. Now my delivery estimate is between may 1st though 24th.

    Will a Model 3 20" performance wheel fit a Model Y?

This is exactly what I was looking for! Trading in my M3P for a MYP and decided to keep the 20 inch stock wheels and traded in the M3P with the 19 inch. I can now use the 20 inch with snow tires for the winter months on the MYP :)
  43. neilalexalover

    Washington State Waiting Room

Getting my MYP next week!! Wohooo. Really sad trading my M3P but I think I’ll live. But one thing I’ve learnt from owning a Tesla for the past two years is that ppf adds no value at trade in. I just wasted 6k ( full body ppf) for someone else 😢. I’m just gonna do a front bumper DIY on the Y and...
