Wheels: Vossen vs. HRE vs. Signature or Others

I love HREs and think they are really the gold standard in terms of wheels. I have been to the factory in Vista, CA and it’s nothing short of incredible. I don’t see how people can say they aren’t durable, but I have seen them go above and beyond to refinish some guys wheels that he bought...

    Eibach Pro-Kit

Yikes, that sucks. Most here have said that alignment isn't an issue, but I do think there's no adjustment for camber on the cars. Also, i'm done putting this off, I have had the springs sitting in my garage for months now. I also have some MPP rear camber arms from my Model 3 (which should...

    21" replacement options

Yeah P Zeroes do exhibit that noise typically at full lock. I actually haven’t heard it on my Model Y. But it’s normal. Happened on two of my 911s with P Zeroes. Kind of like a judder as I came down my drive way.

    Model S 2022 to Model Y 2022 - Should I switch?

Have a 2022 MSLR and 22 MYP. Have owned a 22 MYLR, 2019 M3SR+ and 2019 MX. Model s is the best of the bunch, but taking into consideration that you reserved the Y at a time machine price. I would buy it and own both for awhile and then get rid of one while making money at the same time. Love...

    21" replacement options

I have had P Zeros and Michelin Pilot AS4. Despite what you may read here, the P Zero are much more comfortable. The AS4 being all season has a much tougher compound resulting in more road feel than the P Zero's from my experience.

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

I purchased the frunk and sub trunk mats on amazon for like 20-30 bucks each. But I went with the OEM Tesla Textile mat for the trunk. It's about 80 bucks, but by far the best looking option out there for the trunk. The 3D styled trunk mats just don't look great at all in the trunk, and have...

I have owned 3D Maxpider's on my 3, Chevy Bolt and Model X. Nowadays I just buy the cheapest chinese replica i can find on amazon that's the same style. I hate the 3D logo with a passion, and it really cheapens the look of the car IMO. I have the offbranded maxpiders for my MYP that I paid 99...

Ceramic coating is a huge scam within the industry right now. The truth is it does work, but not in the way that people think. It doesn't protect the car from anything at all. It's just a longer term coat of wax, that offers a deep shine just as wax does. However, I am seeing lots of people...

Yeah of course there's levels to what people can afford and also what they're willing to buy post-sale. Everyone works hard for their money. I think in terms of what tires actually come on the car we are all well aware that there's no rhyme or reason to how the vehicles are built, but we can...

Well good luck because there's no way of guaranteeing that. And if I was your advisor i'd be happy to just keep putting you in the back of the line until one eventually came in. But i'm sure you'll be the guy that screams at the sales advisors (that didn't assemble your car) about it.

I think you're taking his message a bit out of context. At the end of the day, it's always your money and your choice. And I have provided some advice on attaining a cheaper set of wheels and tires that would suit your needs, and if you sold your 21's you would likely net zero out of pocket...

Haha that makes sense. I can't imagine going 155 in the MYP, but the Sottozero's are good up to 149mph which should be hopefully enough for anyone here. I still would recommend going with R241's and saving some cash vs the gemini's though. With some research on this board, people have...

Yeah, that would be the best scenario, you don't have to go with Tesla branded wheels. Lots of people go with Replika R241s and are all in about 2k with wheels and tires. (you may need TPMS if you don't want to switch them back and forth, I recommend ebay for a set). And yeah, the type of tires...

Just assume the worst and you'll be fine. But P Zero's are a damn good performance tire, and fit the car perfectly (also much more expensive than the AS4). The AS4 are also wonderful, but won't do anything for you in your cold climate regardless. So I just find it nitpicky. Some of the...

This is the best advice. i've seen a lot of people get upset on here that their car was delivered with PZeros. P Zeros are actually quite smooth compared to the Michelin A/S. More stability at higher speeds I’ve noticed. But the Michelins look better.

Don't get in an accident in your Tesla unless you like waiting for repairs

you are able to go to any body shop of your choosing. You are not restricted to the ones authorized by safeco. This is by law. I know it’s tough dealing with everyone, but it would work out in your favor to have the patience to work through it all. You will be made whole eventually.

Don't get in an accident in your Tesla unless you like waiting for repairs

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Are you selling the S to Tesla in damaged condition? If insurance is covering repairs, why not just drive the Y in the meantime until it’s fixed and then sell the S for more money later on?

Looking up sales prices for cars that are unsold isn’t what I mentioned. what those dealers will buy you car for cash today, MYLR vs MYP. Buying from tesla vs private seller

From studying the market very thoroughly over the last year. All the 80k MYPs don’t sell, and have been listed for long periods of time. people aren’t dumb enough to overpay for a car they can get in two months. my 2022 MYLR was sold for 78k To the new owner. I was offered 71k for it from a...

Just check the delivery page and the math is readily available. You see more sure, but times have changed and you can expect to see more MYPs. And I don’t expect value retention to be something many buyers focus on, I primarily use that info when purchasing my exotics. However it’s still...

Buying from tesla vs private seller

I totally agree with you. I just don’t want to steer OP in the wrong direction. I think two years ago you would be 100% correct. MYP is probably the better car if you will keep it 10 years. MYLR if you move in and out of cars more frequently like myself and like to have some value retention...

Buying from tesla vs private seller

I had 21” Uberturbines swapped onto my MYLR. You may refer to my post history. Swapped my MYLR for a P due to all the rave reviews here regarding speed. It’s underwhelming and far less range all things equal. That’s my two cents. Had 5 Teslas so far and the MYP was the only one I felt wasn’t...

Buying from tesla vs private seller

Had an LR and currently have a P. LR is better for the average person and just quick enough. The MYP is still slow by my standards. It shouldn’t be called a Performance model. The S, 3 and X performance models are breathtaking vs their base counterparts. The YP and YLR are way too similar.

New Model Y, my paint just washed off

I’ve also used plastidip and it turned grey for me. Attracts dust like crazy. That made me never use it again, but it is by far going to be the cheapest solution. Personally I would just spend money and do something once, these cars aren’t cheap anymore. The best possible option is to PPF...
