Electric motors are far more efficient than fossil fuel engines in converting energy. So we notice the drop in range depending on internal and external conditions. With fossil fuel engines we don’t notice a drip of a few mile per gallon as the engines are far less efficient to begin with.

If you haven’t returned the car I would make them collect it. It’s out of order to put you at risk of prosecution ’if’ the Police wanted to enforce the law. You could report it if they refuse to apologise and possibly get them inspected. That’ll force them to acknowledge it!

I was replying to the cost of the wheel repair. It’s a £25 access on my policy and it’s capped at £100 per wheel or £150 towards a new wheel. I’ve seen quotes of £100 for the damage on each wheel so £25 excess saves me £175. Or I wait and get all four repaired for a £25 excess.

Less than a £100 per wheel I would have thought but the cover is up to £200 a repair each wheel. I’ll report back when I get them done.

I took out Gap with them and got a discount. I’ll post back once I’ve booked a repair.
