With you excessive usage in the summer get the bigger system and 3 Powerwalls.

The PWs are environmentally sealed. Water won't hurt them.

I would highly recommend getting 2 powerwalls. That way you will run off them at night and not have to worry about using grid power.

I've been peaking at 6.7/6.8kW and now getting 60kW a day. Prior to the 100-degree weather, we have been sending 350-375kW back to the grid for a nice discount, ($25 electric bill), so overall have been saving $35-$50 a month compared to our bill before solar.

Sorry BG, but if you read the sheet, the max operating temp is 122 degrees. Not 86 degrees.

I highly recommend you get at least 2 PWs, we have found out that our PWs only make it to 9-9:30pm with the A/C going more now. We moved the temp up to 76 degrees.

I would send the bill to Tesla with a demand for a refund/payment.

I called Tesla Powerwall support and talked to Rep, she told me because I was a Sunrun install, grid charge was not available. Yet, a few hours later, lo and behold! it showed up!!

SRP in Phoenix area has a minimum $32 service fee. Though there is a lawsuit fighting it going on right now.

Reading the horror stories about tesla makes me glad we went with Sunrun. Granted they were more expensive, but from time of order to activation, it was only 2 1/2 months.

I saw that. It wants me to set it up as an Enphase customer. i just wanted it to be able to monitor the outputs of the individual panels. I can use the Tesla app for the PWs and house.

I downloaded the app, and unfortunately, it's set up for a whole Enphase system, not how my system is with the PWs and Tesla Gateway2

Yes, they are priced higher, but... I feel the trade off is their Customer Service, plus the fact they install a "critter guard" to keep birds and pests out from under the panels. Whereas, Tesla does not.

I would just save a grunch of $$$$ and buy the Windex Outdoor window cleaner that goes on your hose and do it yourself. Not that difficult. I just cleaned our panels for the first time, and they came out nice and clean.
