Tesla Neo Gateway not working after new router

I've got same issue with same gateway. After weeks of unplug, reconnect, etc. they tell me the gateway may be bad and will FEDEX a new one in 6-8 weeks! Although a Tesla fanboy, my experience with solar has been a 1 out of 10. Turnover in LV, no follow-up, emailing me links to videos to...

HW2 Autopilot - is it just me? or....

I love my Tesla. My new S75D replaced a '13 S85. But when it comes to updates, Tesla really needs to be more precise with its public dates, IMHO. I have the HW2 but many of its features are off until the software update rolls out. 8.1 pushed from end of December to end of January because of...

    Front Plate Bracket?

I've ordered the special tool to remove the security screws and will it out for $4. PM me for details.

    Front Plate Bracket?

My 2013 had no front plate bracket and no front plate required in PA. Just took delivery of my 2016 Model S and saw an ugly front plate on the bumper. Is this something new? On the 2013 models you had to drill a bracket into the nose cone. I wonder if this bracket comes off with no scars...

The "must do's" when selling a Model S

I'm selling my 2013 Model S and taking delivery of a new Models S 75D with autonomous driver. What are the top things to do before selling my Tesla? 1. Reset to factory settings. 2. Delete Wifi network 3. Delete User Profile. 4. Remove EZ Pass 5. Clean out glovebox, trunk, etc. Other...

    Service voltage drop.

Thanks guys, great feedback. What test should I be having done? Is there a form of stress testing that an electrician can do on the circuit?
  17. hughconn

    Service voltage drop.

Hi, I've been having the same, or very similar, issue. I've had my electrician replace breakers and outlet. No luck solving the problem, now it's time to get the utility involved. I was thrilled to see your postings and resolution. My question is this, "What do you tell the utility customer...

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Talked to service. I have to bring it back (again) for more tests, but the shop is 68 miles away and the fee for pickup is $204, or they'll give me an Enterprise loaner. I'll take it back and see what they find this time. Last time(s) (Sep and Oct) they replaced the chargers, but that didn't...

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Really frustrating as this issue continues. Couldn't drive the car because it didn't charge overnight and I didn't get the charge interruption notice on my phone. I love my Model S, I really do, but I'm about ready to ditch it if this charging problem cannot get resolved.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

I have the same software (7.1-2.9.154, and the issue persists. Maddening because it was 100% perfect for about 15-18 months but the last few months make me want to buy a gas car, seriously.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Aren't the software upgrades automatic? Can I request tesla upgrade my software to (maybe) fix the issue? Here's hoping the issue is resolved once and for all! I love my Tesla, hating the nightly charge-dance.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

Still happening? I have been getting the error message on and off for about 9 months. Sometimes it charges fine for days then it comes back and charging is interrupted. Had the mobile charger swapped twice. Still the issue persists but for the first 15 months I had zero problems. I use the...

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

I read on another post if you dial down the amps it will charge without interruption. I dialed my amp from 30 to 29 and it seems to be charging fine, albeit a few miles an our less.

Charging interrupted, restarts after update to 6.2 (v2.5.21)

I'm having the exact same issue. Tesla replaced my cable but the problem persists. Other than unplugging, then re-plugging in to restart the charging, what can we do?

    14-50 vs HPWC dropping 25%

I use a mobile cord with 14-50 40 amp service at home to charge. No issues for 2 years now the charging keeps interrupting. Tesla checked my cable and replaced under warranty, but the problem continues. It's really weird... Any ideas? It's gotten so unreliable I can't be sure the car will...

    Winter Driving Experiences

Upon further review, he "picked up the flag". After reading many smart posts by a lot of thoughtful owners I think for me, living in NJ the Xi3 will be my choice as we get as much wet snow, as snow and ice and the WR G3's seem to be less good on wet surfaces. Thanks to all for the posts and...

    Winter Driving Experiences

How about today... - - - Updated - - - Took delivery in December 2013 and with new tires, and sensible driving I was very impressed with the Model S during one of the worst winters on record in Philadelphia. One year later (and 30,000 miles) I am surprised at how often the traction control...

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

With respect, those cars don;t cost $75K brand new. My question is how many households in the US can afford, and will spend $75,000 for a used Tesla? I stand behind my 3,000 household estimate. If anyone wants to buy mine, it is for sale for $75,000, model S with 28,000 miles and full factory...

    My Year without Gasoline

I live in NJ so no self-service, but live 5 miles from a gas station and would routinely come home with the low gas light on. Not anymore. Now, I leave the house with a full tank every day. I drive 200 miles in some days, so I appreciate the self-service at home!

    My Year without Gasoline

I am just about to hit my 1 year anniversary of Tesla Model S ownership. I have driven over 28,000 miles without 1 drop of gasoline. Regardless of the price of gas, currently $2.50/gallon in my town, my experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. The heads that turn when I drive by...

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

Not at all. Hypothesis is simple. Who buys a used car for $70,000? Probably not many Americans. Most (<1%) would pay $70K for a new car because they do not have the wealth. Therefore target market for used Tesla is rich Americans who are savvy enough to trust Tesla brand and not want to pay...

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

Nothing wrong with buying anything at a discount to new. I am researching the demand for used cars that cost $70K, about twice the average household income. Question is who are the people who will spend $70K on a "used" car? How will they use this car, etc.

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

skboston, Paint Armor is a great addition. I have 27,500 miles on my S85 and the road rash is evident, although not terrible. In hindsight, I wish I had added the armor.

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

Yes, I know we all love Tesla. I love mine very much. But I haven't heard from anyone who actually bought a used Tesla. I don't think the buyer of a used Porsche for weekend and summer driving is the same demographic for a used Tesla even thought the price points might be similar. My...

Did you buy a used Tesla Model S?

I know many Model S owners who are trading up to the new P85D, or who would if they could sell their current Model S for what they owe, or thereabout. I see for sale many Model S vehicles, especially on this site. I am interested in hearing from people who purchased a Model S used. I'm...

    At the Car Wash...

Car Wash - The Final Word? So in the end, is the car wash with the rollers that move the car through the car wash - a bad idea for the Model S? But touchless ones are OK? Tried Tow mode for a car wash but it took a few tries to get tow mode off. Car doesn't like to stay in Neutral for long...

    Supercharger stations

I tried my first stop at the Hamilton NJ super charging station. I'm only getting 120 miles an hour not the higher amounts shown by others. Is it because I don't have twin chargers? To get the 170 miles in 30 minutes do you need twin chargers?
