The EV6 ride is very nice. It absorbs bumps much much better than the Model Y/3. I'd be wary of the performance version though as the suspension will need to be tuned much more aggressively to handle that much horsepower. Its closer to the Model Y than the 3 in terms of space and ride height...

The Plaid battery system as a whole is definitely more advanced than what the Model 3/Y use now (exc 4680). It has better cooling and faster charge rates so they've made significant upgrades. 18650 is a form factor...can't judge the tech behind it just because that form factor was used first.

Isn't that the point of the PPF? If you get it, car maintenance is SO EASY. Go to a car wash bay, spray and wash quickly then leave. Don't have to care about the 2 bucket method or causing micro-scratches or waxing / sealant etc...

I got one of the new PPFs with ceramic embedded in the film. We'll see how well it does over time. Even on a dusty car with PPF, the duster won't do any damage. Its just to keep it looking cleaner for longer as California dust will cake your car in a day if left outside. I'm also not afraid...

I don't like the "i could always repaint for the same price" argument. I think PPF offers far more benefit because you have a pristine car through your ownership. You can even California duster the car all over because it self heals and can go a lot longer between washes.

It takes 33 minutes for 10-80% in the link. I guess not the end of the world but still noticeably worse than my 3 year old Model 3 and magnitude worse than my EV6.

I found a solution for that...PPF :D. Really makes the worry of car washing non-existent. I wouldn't do it on a lease car but if I had a black car that I planned to keep for 5-8 years, PPF the whole freaking car :D

It could be anything including broken motor. Fortunately, bad motors tend to go early in the life of the EVs and when replaced, the rest of the vehicle functions perfectly for a long time. Frustrating though.

I had a few quality issues at the start and after those were fixed, its been 3 years of bliss since. Keep in mind that with Tesla, you have a lot of options to customize as there are a ton of 3rd party accessories. Good luck and happy motoring.

The tires play a big role in the range you get too. If its not PS4S, then it would explain some of the range increase.

To equip the BMW similarly, you'd go to about $71k with tire package but yes, they are nearly equal with the fed tax credit. Some Model 3s have good quality, others not so much so Tesla is definitely not up to BMW for sure. I myself have had really good luck but i know others that weren't so...

Its a known issue with software 2022.12.xx. The new 2022.16.xx fixes it.

I just got an EV6 and setup a charging solution for an old dryer plug. However, we plan to use the mobile connector to travel with as it has a ton of adapters available for it. Its actually a very nice portable charging unit even compared to other solutions on the market due to its adaptability.

That was 2018. Many many choices for 18 inch wheels right now. I'm rolling on T-sportlines with PS4S tires. Much better ride quality now :D

This is the maintenance schedule for the EV6 which is basically the same car. You don't really need to maintain anything but air filter and braking fluid until well past 100k miles.
