Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

So this is currently happening at the south side of the new SaveMart parking lot. Birdseye Electrical is advertised on the fence along with a construction company. If you zoom in they are digging a trench of sorts behind one of the lines of parking curbs. Could be nothing Tesla related, but you...

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

Target opening 2023 now. Meanwhile Red Bluff has a second station already built and opening soon at Raleys this town is ridiculous.

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

The supercharger in Red Bluff will work perfectly for you as you can just drive straight up 36 from Red Bluff to the Kohm Yah-mah-nee visitor’s center entrance.

    Supercharger - Susanville, CA (LIVE 29 Sep 2021, 8 V3 stalls)

Cottonwood is a weird one, considering the Red Bluff and Redding locations.

    Supercharger - Susanville, CA (LIVE 29 Sep 2021, 8 V3 stalls)

Found this today on the Tesla website. Target opening Q3 2021. This will allow me to get to Reno via Susanville from Redding in my Model S 90D which is a lot better than via Sacramento like I do now.

    Supercharger - Weaverville, CA (LIVE 10 Feb 2022, 8 V3 stalls)

Found this on the Tesla website today. This will be a game changer for people exploring Trinity county and heading to the coast.

iOS Stats app not connecting to car

    Excellent. I’ll try that.

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

So who gets the honor of installing the level 2 unit? Or is it basically gonna be a NEMA 14-50 socket available at each parking spot?

iOS Stats app not connecting to car

I’ve used the iOS “Stats” app for about 8 months now and it works great for setting up more advanced charging schedules, smart battery prep smart sentry and a bunch of other stuff. In the last month I haven’t been able to get their smart battery prep to work. The smart battery prep is a feature...

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

I think the greatest impact this will have on potential local owners are the people living in some of the new upscale apartment buildings that are going up around the town. I’m sure having a supercharger in town will be the main factor that causes those people to pull the trigger on a Tesla...

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

That’s a much better spot for a Supercharger than the Target parking lot. Save Mart, In-n-out burger, Sbux, Panda Express, Los Gordos, Bonsai Sushi.

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

Oh yeah, went back and looked and it does look like they mean “target opening” date and not the actual store. I just assumed Target the store because of the prior rumors. I think road trippers would much prefer to have superchargers at a location right by the freeway and lots of coffee shops and...

Supercharger - Redding, CA (permit issued Aug 2021)

Powerwall/Solar Edge behavior in power outage

Thanks for the response. So I assume your fix came in the form of a firmware update then instead of a direct remote fix to your system. Correct?

Powerwall/Solar Edge behavior in power outage

Has anyone had any resolution to this issue other than Phil? I had my Tesla Solar and Powerwalls installed in July and we’ve had our first few PG&E power outages this week. Same issue. Powerwalls were at 100% due to Storm Watch. They depleted down to 67% over a day and a half and when the power...

Model S 90D uneven tire wear and winter tire recommendation.

Just took my 2016 Model S to Costco for a slow puncture. They wouldn’t repair it as it was “too close” to the side wall. They did however tell me that on the left side of the car the tire threads were at 5/32” and 3/32”, while on the right side of the car both tires were at 7/32”. So I guess I...

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

I finally got a resolution to my Gen 3 Wall Connector issue. After multiple firmware updates, the one flashing red light “grounding fault” went away, only to be replaced by a three flashing red light “overheat fault”. The glass on the wall connector was pretty warm during charging at that point...

Paint bubble on top left of rear bumper cracked while cleaning.

Touch up paint might be a better option than super glue I’d say.

Paint bubble on top left of rear bumper cracked while cleaning.

I was wiping down the area of the rear bumper that is covered up by the trunk hatch tonight and it seems I cracked a paint bubble that was sitting over a void. I can push the pain in easily now with my finger. This is a 2016 Model S 90D. I bought the car a few months ago from Tesla with a 2 year...

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

My Gen 3 Wall Connector suddenly started having charging interruptions every hour or two while charging my 2016 Model S 90D. One red blinking light on the connector during the interruptions which points towards a grounding issue. I’ve had the car and wall connector(installed by an electrician)...

[POLL] For Cybertruck Res Holders ONLY, what type of buyer are you?

I voted. Never owned a truck before but have almost pulled the trigger on buying a Tacoma a few times in the last year. I’ve wanted/needed one for a while now but I can’t justify the gas mileage. Cybertruck solves that issue.

    Who has ordered?

Ordered a dual motor as soon as Elon announced the website while on stage. Took forever for it to go through with such heavy traffic. RN112772###. The wait is killing me. I may buy a used MS or M3 until it arrives, just to satisfy my Tesla urges.
