    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Asked this before but never got an answer. Does anyone know of trimming the OEM lugs by a few mm to get spacers to clear will make them too short going back to stock? I’d like to get 20mm back on but if it’s going to compromise the car in stock form it’s not worth it.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

    They are not. OEM only.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

14mm slip ons will require longer bolts on an M3P.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Yeah many. And even 20s don’t fit all aftermarket’s.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Depending on your wheels it will be trial and error for the rears. You might get luckily with 18s but 20 will be a better bet to fit. Congrats on the new car.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

I don’t think this is a thing. Lots of folks running awd teslas with different spacers. Also lots of people running staggered setups on their awd teslas.

Yeah this is good stuff. Appreciate the thoughtful responses from everyone here.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Awesome. Thanks. I’m going to give them a call. Looks like just what I need. This far no one I have tried has a clue about tesla. Even took it to Rahal and they made it worse. Does it matter if I do the alignment before the new wheels or after?

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Yeah I’ve considered this. But going back to stock will cost me $500 in labor now and I really hate the stock ride height (appearance). So the only real wildcard is the increased tire wear and how much tread gets smoked before I trade/sell. If I buy an new set of tires and get a proper alignment...

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Thanks. Appreciate that. I’m gonna squeeze a couple more thousand out of these tires and order new and get everything done together. My concern with the camber arms is less about the cost of them but rather the install cost. I plan to trade the car in the next 12 months anyway.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Yeah, southwestern PA - Pittsburgh. Haven't heard of Vince's performance but I will look it up. Thanks. Yeah, it's frustrating. I'm not investing in camber arms as I'll probably only keep the car for another year. And even if I did, no one would know how to install them. I know that a...

Bumping this. 2 BNIB High Quality Aspira 20MM spacers

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Check your wheels. Some 20mm may fit and some do not. 20mm don’t fit my rohannas. 30 should clear. 20 upfront will give you a lotta poke.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

I continue to be unable to get a proper alignment done in Pittsburgh. I’ve tried independent shops, chains and large car dealers. No one knows what to do and many say no tesla. I burned through my all seasons in 12k miles. Yes I’m lowered by an inch and yes I don’t have camber arms. I expected...

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

This exact quote gave me pause - 15 minutes after putting down a deposit on the M50. Good thing I have 6 months to think about it. I do think it is really a testament to Tesla that a 4+ year old platform is more fun to drive than a 2022 BMW. The M3P really is a go kart on wheels. If they...

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

Ambivalent is a good word. I’m relatively ambivalent as well tbh. I would welcome the improved interior the most. The M3P does not feel like a premium car to come due to the interior. It’s not a criticism- it’s just a fact. At this point it feels like a $500 option for 6 months from now. I am...

Appreciate the additional information. Yeah seems safe for Q1 2023.

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

So my local BMW dealer has been pushing me to order an i4 M50. I'm close to giving it a shot. They are claiming it won't arrive until Q1 next year which will be about the 2 year anniversary for my M3P. I do love my Tesla but I also think the BMW offers some nice upgrades in terms of interior...

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

Given the weight disparity, I’d say the BMW is pretty awesome that it can hang with the P.

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

This is a fascinating discussion. I really do miss the interior quality of Audi and BMW on my M3P. If shopping today and both cars were sitting on the lot with the BMW having the tax credit I’d probably take the BMW for that reason even if I’m giving up a few things. To me, it’s surprising that...

HUD interests me. Is there a proven solution that isn’t a PIA to install?
  24. C

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

This is where I am at these days. Tempted to order an i4 M50 and roll the dice that my M3P will still be selling for near my MSRP (55k) when the i4 is available (6 to 12 months) but I just can't get over the weight. There have not been a lot of complaints about the weight but it is...

FS: Forgestar CF5V 20x9 ET 35 Matte Black

I haven’t weighed them but google tells me they are pretty light for a flow forged. I believe 23 pounds ish. Yes I ran 20mm spacers in the rear and 5mm up front.

FS: Forgestar CF5V 20x9 ET 35 Matte Black

Yep could meet somewhere too. Width is 9. Offset is 35.

Let me know. I’m willing to meet somewhere on the Pa turnpike too.

FS: Forgestar CF5V 20x9 ET 35 Matte Black

Bumping and adding pictures. Please note that the back of the wheels have slight indentations from the OEM bolts that rubbed as the clearance was too close with spacers. Purely cosmetic as I ran this setup for a year without issue. Lowering price to $900 picked up or $1200 shipped. Priced to sell.

Trade Rivian R1T for Plaid Model X/S

What does intent have to do with it? It’s worth what it’s worth. How is this any different than buying stock and selling at a higher price? It’s not. I wouldn’t be so offended by this. Value has nothing to do with msrp whether value is lower or higher. Value is what someone will pay. End of story.

Trade Rivian R1T for Plaid Model X/S

This thread is entertaining if anything. I buy a lot of watches and see similar phenomena. Watches rarely reflect msrp particularly certain brands. People get angry when someone tries to sell a rolex over msrp when the market clearly reflects a different price. It’s absurd to bash anyone for...

Hi. Was contemplating keeping them and trying to fit them but still a little on the fence.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Bumping my own question. Anyone know if taking a few mm off the bolts will make them too short to go back to stock and remove the spacers? Thanks.

    Fs Model 3 Key Fob

Picked this up a few months ago off of eBay. Find myself not using it. Works as advertised. In good condition and I added a nifty Amazon metal case. Needs a battery. $125 shipped. No box.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Has anyone actually trimmed the OEM lugs to get spacers to clear? For mine, looks I need to cut a few mm. if you have do you know whether it then impacts the ability to go back to stock because the bolts are now too short? Or is there enough "extra" that a few mm should be fine. TIA.

Bumping this. These are fantastic rims. Forgestar raised prices on these recently so this is a good price. Happy to entertain reasonable offers and discuss shipping or meeting in person.

Ran these for about a year on my M3P. They are in excellent shape. No rash or marks that I can see. Located in Pittsburgh. Willing to drive up to 100 miles for in person or ship. Asking 1300 for the set OBRO.

Nope. Running my 5s and 8s. Probably just gonna go with it. Only other options are shaving my studs or replacing my studs. Neither are something I want to do.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Seems like there is room for disagreement on this. Tire rack says 7.5. I do understand the math suggesting 9.5 but it seems like a rule of thumb not really based on real evidence. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=107 Traverse Ridge Racing says 8mm is the max. I...

    Tow Hitch Cover Fasteners ?

Noticed tonight that the small tow hitch panel was sagging a bit on one side. Looks like one of the two screws/fasteners is broken. A few small pieces of metal that look like part of the fasteners fell out when I tried to fix. Any idea if I can source the clips somewhere?

Rohanna RFX11 20x9 et 35. 8mm spacers in rear and 5 up front. Sorry. You guys take way better pictures than me.

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Thanks. Ironically I passed on custom offsets this time because I wanted the flexibility but you are right. Live and learn I guess. It’s inexplicable why the rohanna won’t work with a 20mm spacer. That was a gut punch. If anything cool comes your way LMK.
